Boba Break is one of my go-to boba shops around. Not only is it open later, the ambiance is cozy and the drinks are delicious! One of my favorite orders is the passion fruit mango smoothie at 25% or 50% sugar with popping mango or lychee jelly. I also thoroughly enjoy the matcha, fruit teas, and winter melon tea with milk cap. Although there are self check out kiosks, the staff is very kinda and happy to take orders. They're also very quick. I bring many of my friends here for a quick "coffee" chat and I've only heard positive reviews from them!

I was in the area and craving boba, so decided to try this place out. I ordered the jasmine gmt and was a bit disappointed by the quality. The drink tasted watered down as the jasmine was not very strong. The boba was also quite hard in the center and didnt taste fresh. I went around 12PM, so the boba shouldve tasted fresh since they open at 11AM. The staff were very friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients used in the drinks. The place itself is very cute! I really liked the monochrome 2D wall and there's some cute claw machines. I can definitely see this place being a chill hang out spot! Their menu has a good variety, so maybe I just chose the wrong drink this time, but I'll come back and give it another try in the future.

I was craving Boba over the weekend & checked out Boba Break in Sandy with a friend. I love boba but I'm never sure really what to order & their menus overwhelm me a little bit. I ended up getting a coconut boba tea. It was very sweet. I did regular sweetness level on this, I probably should have done less sweet but I really liked the boba in this drink. My friend got the Taro milk tea, smoothie style. WOW! I was shocked how good this was. I've never heard of smoothie style for boba drinks but I would highly recommend this flavor & getting it smoothie style. Prices were a little expensive & I hated that there was a fee to use a credit card. We ordered at the little kiosk on the side. There was parking & the restaurant itself wasn't hard to find. I felt like it was a little expensive & didn't love the kiosk ordering.

Super cute :) You will Fall in love with their Message Tree and their refreshments. A few months ago, it started as a sturdy tree trunk painting on their interior wall. As you wait for your boba or other menu items, you can add a message on a Fall shaded paper leaf. Now the beautiful tree has grown and is full of "message" leaves. Our group ordered different drinks from coffee to matcha, to milk tea, and fruit tea. Conveniently labeled, there are also decaf options available - similar to other boba shops, there's a nice variety of flavors and toppings. Near the ordering kiosk, there's also a food warmer. You may purchase egg tarts or dim sum and we will return to try those. Lots of free parking! We experienced fast and friendly service :) Tables, chairs, and floor appeared clean and tidy. Comfortable setting to hang out with friends.

My first visit to this spot I went inside. I enjoyed my drink quite a lot; the boba was really good. I got a cloud topping that wasn't quite as good as Kung Fu Tea, but still really good. I was super impressed with the ordering kiosks. I always feel like a pain when I ask about decaf drinks, etc. So it was nice to see the options all laid out that way. My second visit was a drive thru stop. I got a decaf latte with boba. The boba was a little wonky, I won't lie. The texture was off--firm center and strangely dissolving around the outside. Maybe the third time will be as good as the first time was. Overall, worth a stop if you're nearby! And I'm happy to have this place much closer than Kung Fu Tea, and cheaper than Presotea.

Rating (maximum points = 5) Value for money: 5 Cleanliness: 4 Food Quality: 4.5 Customer Service: Look and Feel (Ambiance): 5 Thank you, Come Again?: 5 Yes, please! Sign me up to try out another Boba Tea and Potsticker cafe. I'm so glad that Salt Lake County is building up their diversified cafe and restaurant portfolio. Boba Break serves up a variety of Boba tea drinks and homemade snacks (e.g., egg tarts, pan seared baos, and potstickers). Right when you walk in, you can spot a couple of self-ordering machines. On a busy day, these ordering options are great. If you prefer interacting with the staff to order, there is still a service counter to do so. Some parts of the cafe reminds me of the trendy 2D black and white cafes. I like how the restaurant transitions you into a 2D universe. Original Milk Tea: $5.25 + $0.80 (tapioca pearls) - the pearls are perfectly cooked and has a great chew! Even though the pearls aren't homemade, they are so satisfying with the drink. The milk tea has great flavor. Homg Kong Style Coffe and Milk Tea: $5.99 - yum! This is my mom's favorite drink while growing up in Homg Kong. I'd be curious to what she would think of Boba Break's version. I loved how the staff pulled a fresh espresso shot for this drink. Homemade Beef Potstickers: $8.99 for 6: Minced Beef with bits of onion and ginger. The skin is a little too thick for my liking. I prefer a thinner dough. Other than that, the flavors are on point. Beef Bao: $7.99 for 4: This one also had minced Beef with bits of onion and ginger. Loved the flaky pastry but the onion bits were almost raw. I would recommend to the staff to cook the raw onion a little more. I think it may have been mixed in after the minced meat was cooked. The only issue I found was that the interior floors and tables were sticky and needed a deep clean. Overall, I would return and try the other Boba tea flavors and give the food another try. With the busy holiday season, you're going to need a break. Boba Break will satisfy your Boba cravings and bring you comfort of homemade Baos and potstickers. Would you go? Let me know. Follow me for all the Salt City sips and trips.

I saw that you could order online for pick up so I did that in case they were busy because I was on a bit of a time crunch. I went to the counter and there were 3-4 people working there. Nobody acknowledged me for a good 10 minutes if not more, some of them even walking by me. The ones that did walk by me weren't servicing their one table of customers. Meanwhile my order is done and I can see it just sitting there. A simple hi we'll get to you in a minute would've been more than sufficient. The drinks themselves were ok. I got the taro sago with oat milk. I like that they had milk alternatives. It wasn't too sweet. My friend got a coconut smoothie and that was delicious, but could use another complimentary flavor. I know that's really subjective. The place is cute, the drinks were not bad, but I wouldn't come back just because of being ignored like that.

Lots of parking. They do have a drive thru. Pretty busy on a Friday night. Order at kiosk or with a person. $16 for two smoothies and each had one topping. They were both tasty. We would go back if in the area.

Lovely wall area where you can leave a happy little note!

We were a little wary of going to Boba Break. There was a different boba shop in the same location prior to this one opening and it was NOT good. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The interior is SO CUTE! We were greeted immediately, but we chose to order at the kiosk so we could explore all of our options. We chose to share an order of pork buns and egg tarts, and my kiddo ordered a Milk Tea Boba. Everything was so tasty! The filling of the pork buns were savory and delicious. And the egg tarts were just what you expect from egg tarts! I could seriously eat a dozen of these easily. My daughter also enjoyed her milk tea. Not too sweet and the boba was soft and fresh. The little message tree was fun too! The woman at the counter was so great about answering any questions we had and customer service was excellent! Definitely try this place!!

    Red bean smoothie
    Quinn N.

It was a pleasant surprise to visit this place! The red bean smoothie was pleasant and smooth, not too sweet. The pot stickers were huge and I wish the bao had a thinner layer. It tasted good overall. The girl at the register was very cute and friendly. I will defo come back, so happy to see another Asian place in the area!

As a bubble tea/boba tea lover...I may be bias, but I can say the drink I ordered met my expectation! I ordered a Black sugar boba drink with tapioca & it was delicious! The drink was sweet and the tapioca was a great texture and perfectly cooked! The atmosphere was delightful & very calming. The decor was really interesting (in a good way). You could tell that some parts were handmade. It was really cute! Not to mention the employee who took our order was so kind and absolutely adorable. Highly recommend this place if you want to try bubble tea for the first time!

I love coming here for boba. Every time I order boba, it is always cooked perfectly. The boba is soft yet chewy. The customer service is great. People behind are always super sweet. I love the ambience as it has a cartoon feel, as half of the cafe is decorated in the popular black and white cartoon atmosphere.

I would absolutely recommend this place! We got four different drinks and all were very unique and absolutely delicious!! The women running things is very kind and suggested what she thought I'd like, and I loved it! Here are the drinks that we ordered: the meshed taro with tapioca boba, black sugar with tapioca boba, strawberry lime Rickey with aloe Vera, and an iced mocha. We also got the egg tart and some Mocchi, which were also so good and authentic! I will absolutely be coming back and suggesting them to others.

Drive thru on the side of a gas station. Order right at the window. Got the mango, and it was pretty good. I'll be back.

The food looked gorgeous upon being served but I found the bingsoo to be lackluster. As someone who has had bingsoo multiple times, I found this bingsoo to be poorly shaven - the texture isn't as soft as many other bingsoos - and I found it to be missing the condensed milk throughout. The fruit flavors were great and I did enjoy the fruit as well. The egg waffle was lacking flavor, even for the original flavor. However it was well cooked, crispy-ish on the outside (a nice crust) and a soft and sponge-like inside !

We waited for over 20 minutes and there were at most 3 tables in the dessert area. In the 20 minutes before ours came out, they prepared 2 others -- so a total of 3 in that time period. Be prepared to wait...they share space and staff with the Malatang space next door, and they appeared to be moving slowly, understaffed and uninterested. 2. I waited patiently expecting to be blown away assuming they must have been spending the time meticulously preparing this dessert. I was wrong. It wasn't bad, but it was a few pieces of soft, delicious mochi along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce atop a bowl of slushed ice, reminiscent of what I made out of my Snoopy snow cone machine as a kid and not the fresh, fluffy snow-like shaved ice one would expect with this order. Imagine hitting the slopes and skiing on ice-like granules instead of powdery snow. It's just not the same experience.
