The general workout area is clean & huge. It can be a little intimidating. But they have great group fitness rooms such as a spin studio that's tiered. There is another workout area that's smaller and less intimidating. I give kudos to the idea of allowing local businesses advertise on the TV panels in various areas. The juice bar is good too with various protein drinks. They have pickleball courts that double as basket ball courts. Hopefully they will expand a little more and add the pool. Then it would be a well rounded health & wellness center of the 21st century.

I got stuck paying two gym fees at the same time because Atlantic Club lied about giving me a few hours grace. I would not have joined another gym if the rep had been honest in the first place. When I saw the charge on my credit card, I called the gym. According to the membership rep, no one should have told me that the computer system could be changed. There was one person who had authority to change the computer system and that was Kevin McHugh-COO of Genesis Health System. I have emailed Kevin McHugh four times and only once did he get back to me to tell me he would get back to me. The Atlantic Club passes the buck and hopes you forget that you've paid them any money. I have not forgotten. I have tried in good faith to discuss this with them. They have my money; they no longer wish to speak with me. Consider this before you give them your credit card number.

Their slogan is "Always clean. Never crowded." and I have never heard of a slogan for a business to hold more true. The place is immaculate! The floors and all of the equipment are spotless! You could eat off the floors in this place. They have everything you need and it doesn't feel like your typical small gym where people are pushing you or have you on a regime. You can workout at your own pace or take part in a class, whatever fits your needs. There has never been more than two other people in there working out at the same time as me so you just feel like you can let loose and breath freely. Amenities are great as well, shower rooms, bathroom and lockers are always super clean and tidy. Definitely recommend checking out the garage if you want to switch up your average gym routine!

My trainer Melanie has kept in touch training on Zoom free of charge. Today, I went to the Forest Hills site where I participate and was given a welcome back bag and so this is the new look for working out in the parking lot with masks and the parking spots are at least 7'x 10 so we are socially distanced correctly. I have spent the last couple of months trying to cancel this membership but they will not allow me to do it online even though they allowed me to sign up online. I had never even stepped foot into the gym which is why I wanted to cancel. But I had to go there in person just to cancel and whenever I went there on multiple occasions , the manager was never present for me to be able to cancel the membership. Once I finally came face to face with a manager , they wanted an additional eighty dollars to cancel the membership. I finally had to tell my bank that it wasn't an authorized charge. Never would I sign up for a planet fitness membership again. They were deeply unprofessional, unhelpful, and unsympathetic. They focus 100% on you the entire session and every staff member knows your name and situation, even if you don't work directly with them. They really go above and beyond! This place changed my view on fitness and my life; this is the one fitness routine that I've stuck with consistently and long term. The program is organized and adapted to my needs and goals, Older adults benefit from a stronger, healthier body to avoid injuries, falls, pain, and other issues associated with getting older. You need a solid core for stability, balance and good posture. You'll feel better and be less prone to injuries. I'm 82 and I plan on it continuing for as long as I can show up.
