A sample of the light meals included with my stay.

I stayed here after having surgery to help me breathe better. This is the only place my surgeon recommended I stay at. I only wish I remembered the names of the nurses who helped take care of me. Grace is the lady who helped me arrange my stay. She's amazing. Super friendly, helpful and made me feel like I was the only patient they're taking care of (I know I'm not but that speaks to how attentive Grace and the rest of the staff is). The nurses are amazing. Coming from me, that's saying something because I'm also a Registered Nurse. They came in on time to monitor my pain and my vital signs but in such a way where I barely woke up. They kept icing my eyes and my face constantly around the clock to help prevent swelling. I truly appreciated their care. Whenever I was hungry or thirsty, they brought me whatever I wanted off of the menu they provide for their patients. Some of my favorites: - chicken broth with crackers - oatmeal - pineapple juice (excellent for healing but talk to your doctor first) - THE SMOOTHIES (I loved the mixed berries with banana and protein powder) I realize that this doesn't sound exceptionally tasty but when you're fresh out of surgery and groggy, these tasted heavenly to me. The nurses helped me up and out of bed when I needed to go to the bathroom. They helped shower me when I was able to take a shower. They literally rearranged my bazillion pillows and told me to readjust my head so that I wouldn't potentially develop dependent swelling. When I mentioned my neck was sore and I couldn't figure out why, one of my awesome nurses made me a neck roll out of towels. Literally brought tears to my eyes because it got rid of the pain immediately. I also had massive food poisoning from room service the night before surgery. Grace not only brought me broth and crackers but she talked to the hotel to make sure the room service charges were addressed. If I ever were to have elective surgery, I would definitely come back for my post surgical care. If you are having surgery and have decided to stay at Pearl for post surgical care, I highly recommend checking in the night before. Thank you for taking such great care of me!

My cancer surgeon's office recommended Pearl Recovery for post-op. Natalie and her team went above and beyond to safely comfort me and provide outstanding medical care during my stay. I had a difficult time in recovery and Pearl's ability to communicate with my surgeon and manage my case was superb. I will be going back and highly recommend them.

My stay at Pearl Recovery was wonderful. I stayed after having surgery with one of the top plastic surgeons in Los Angeles. I received around the clock nursing care and also special accommodations with my hyperbaric and spa treatments. All the nurses were knowledgeable and accommodating. I felt like the first few days the pain was hard to get managed but with their knowledge they were able to get quick medication orders. After the pain passed I was able to enjoy more of my time at the fairmont hotel. I was able to have lunch near their infinity pool under the shade with my husband. I will never forget the kindness of pearls staff. Thank you for everything.

Pearl Wellness Center let us begin. After having a redo for back surgery in a very groggy mood, I was greeted by one of the staff members, then we were met by another staff member at the door. when I approached the brand-new apartment complex, not even fifty percent occupied. The staff was very friendly and took my bags. Walked me into the location, Where they had ownership of seven fully furnished Units They walked me into a two-bedroom apartment very spacious, All the furniture and decor were very nice. Immediately, I started to ask the dos and don'ts. Can I have company? "yes" Can I have overnight? "Yes" The kitchen was brand new almost untouched. I asked them, can we prepare a meal? "Yes". The first night the staff checked on a lot. But on the third morning, the owner walked into my room and introduced herself. I had my door open and she told me. I could not keep my door open. Connect it to the common living room area because of privacy for other patients. (I met the other patient and she was at surgery and hadn't returned as of yet. So I was in a unit alone, besides my family member) This struck a nerve. She also told me that My mother was unable to prepare a meal for me in the kitchen. When her staff had already told me that she could. We went back and forth and we compromised, She told me that my mother could prepare the meal in the staff kitchen. Then twenty minutes later, she sent Staff back and said we could not prepare the meal. I told her staff to tell the owner if we could not prepare a meal like she promised. I am checking out now. The owner came back in and said she apologized, for telling me that we could prepare the meal in the kitchen. "But the staff member said was allergic to the smell of fried chicken" This owner was a 70-year-old, Mid-eastern, woman. That couldn't come up with any other excuse for us. Not using the facilities, that we were promised to be able to use but the smell of fried chicken, how racist. how disrespectful. how uncomfortable we feel. How embarrassed I was. After that comment, we immediately packed up and left the facility. in pain with a draining tube and everything. We were out. (My 77-year-old mother brother and sister drove forty minutes to prepare a meal and be with their family member, and we had to leave) If you wanna spin almost $3000 a night and get treated like crap, visit one of their locations.

I cannot even begin to explain the perfection that is Pearl. I had a major surgery yesterday and was transported in an ambulance to what was a wellness facility I couldn't even dream up. There were two nurses there to great me Ruby and Yana. They took me right to my room and tucked me in I didn't have to worry about a thing for the entire time I was there. Yana was so great about explaining everything to me from the IVs to the catheter to the pain meds I was taking I felt very at ease. I was never in pain and when I was nauseous she took care of it right away. You text them when you need anything and they're at your room within minutes. They took care of things I could never even dream of and trust me I've stayed in super nice hotels all over the world, I'm high maintenance and picky. Claudia took over the night shift checking on me frequently. She was so sweet and thoughtful. I'm usually a jumpy person but she would gently wake me if I needed to take meds and she would bring me ice chips/ ginger ale/ water and would hold the cup up for me to drink. Grace took over the next day with Ruby dropping off extra things like almond milk and checking on me. Ruby was impressed by my progress and it was very encouraging. Grace took care of me that day. She was so attentive. We figured out the medicine I was taking wasn't working and she got my doctor on the phone immediately and figured out a better option. I was in shock at how she made that happen. I've never felt such great care (besides my parents hehe) from anyone in my life! I am honestly in shock at how amazing the whole experience was. I was looking at Serenity too but am so so happy I chose Pearl. If you have any questions about it you can dm me @paigewoolen! Happy recovery babes.

I've been on a long journey with my mental health, and it hasn't been an easy one. From the…read moreconstant dissappointment that's been my companion, to the depression that one day changed me into a different person without warning, it's been rough. And I understand that it hasn't just been rough for me. It's also been rough for the people around me. I consider myself to be brave. Getting out of bed each morning may not seem brave to most, but anyone who has battled through the self eclipsed war of depression knows otherwise. When the voices and forces within you want nothing more than to bring you down, you need to rise above. And that, is the bravest thing anyone could ever do. Depression can you turn you into someone you aren't. It will make your face unrecognizable in the mirror, your voice unrecognizable to your ears. When you're hurting, you do and say things you don't mean. You turn into an angry, ugly person. Someone you truly are not. To those who could not handle it, I'm sorry. I truly am sorry.  When you get into a really bad state, sleeping is rare. You lay awake through the night, thinking, weeping and panicking. Essentially, wishing you were dead. Waking up in the morning and carrying on like a "normal human" is not the easiest thing in the world to do, when just 12 hours ago you were praying to fall asleep and not wake up. Some would say I was unmotivated, boring or mean. They weren't wrong, but if only they knew. When you're depressed, it is difficult to reach out. You fear what others will think, and how they will treat you. "Get over it", "You're so dramatic", these are phrases I've heard more than enough. The thoughts that go on in our minds are scary, terrifying in fact. It takes courage to face them yourself, let alone take the first step in changing and reprogramming your thought process. I have seen the light. A light I once thought I would never find. My mental illness is not my reality. I would never choose this life for myself, or anyone, but i have finally overcome my demons. The Holistic Sanctuary gave me the power to take control of my life and stopped my battles with addiction and guided me in overcoming my mental health issues. From the various IV therapies, to energy healing, massages, to a well balanced diet and nutrition, after 17 years of nicotine addiction and my struggles with mental health have become a thing of the past. I have never felt more powerful than I do in this very moment. I am filled with so much self love that I could never ingest or cause any type of harm that is my body, my temple. I've realized that I haven't been the person I truly am, or the person I am meant to be. I've done, and said, some terrible things. I've made mistakes, and I've been an ugly person. If it wasnt for Johnny and his angels I wouldnt have continued on this path and for that I want to say thank you for your kindness. You will never know how often the smallest gestures made the biggest difference. On days when all I could do was cry, or all I wanted was to become invisible, your kindness mattered. Your listening ear, your gentle hug, your affirmation that I matter in this world all changed my outlook, or at least my day. It is in these smallest, quiet moments that my world slowly began to change for the better. Thank you for being there. There have been times when simply your presence in the room made me feel safe. Sometimes, just knowing in that moment I was not alone saved my life. How do I even begin to thank you for something so monumental? The words "thank you" seem so inadequate, and yet they are all I have to offer. I know I can never repay you, but please know I am eternally grateful. Without Johnny I would no longer be here. Thank you for making the effort to making my journey as easy as possible each and every day. Thank you for realizing that while I rarely ask, I often need help and support. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do in guiding all those that are lost in the world. In my experience, few are as faithful as those who stand by your side through depression or other mental illness. You are all remarkable human beings and thank you for saving my life. This is the greatest gift you can give to yourself or to anyone that is suffering from any addiction or severe mental health issues. TRUST AND LET GO

I found my experience unprofessional, inconsistent, and bad communication. It felt like a bait and switch, everything was fine until post-consult. After abruptly being told to go find care elsewhere because I said I was frustrated I couldn't get a hold of them after several texts and calls, I was shocked. They didn't offer a solution after I took time off work and spent 400+ on a 30 min consult only to end up chasing them for simple answers. This could have easily been solved by a call or text answering my questions and helping me with my lab order. It was only when I mentioned leaving a review, where I was offered a call and solution. Showing they care more about bottom line than patient communication and care. I do feel like it's important to leave a review, because before this appointment I did my research and finally was seeking someone to help me more than regular doctors and willing to pay out of pocket for it. You trust an office like this to treat you with care and finally help and instead they left me with no care, disappointed, and now out a few hundred wasted. It's really disappointing The Dr was nice in person but I hope they take this feedback and improve their front office practices and patient communication, because what is the point of care if you can't trust to be communicated with a clear process, and avoid glitchy systems and abrupt answers.
