We were greeted by super friendly staff, had a thorough exam and consult with Dr. Poyner (she is SO smart, patient & efficient), viewed the THOUSANDS of eyeglass frame options, and Cory setup our order. Also, at time of this review, they offered a discount when ordering multiple glasses - WOOHOO! FYI, they DO sell contacts if you are not into eyeglasses. Plenty of parking in the adjacent lot, and location is proximate to TCU & not far from I-20, I-30, or Chisholm Trail Tollway. The rest were a very unprofessional group of people that showed indifference while performing their jobs. I chose this provider under new vision insurance because they offered the additional Retina Screening for an additional charge. When I went for my exam I was told they didn't offer it. After checking, they said they do offer it but it's a seperate exam that has to be done at a second appointment on a different day. I never had a problem with previous providers. I should have left then! It gets worse. After my eye exam, I went to pick out frames and they had a very small, limited selection. After asking for assistance, I got my lenses picked out. Options were only explained after I asked questions. I felt like i was bothering the attendant. The glasses were due in from the lab in 10 days, but that ended up being a month. I go to pick them up and they were so bad that I couldn't see out of them. I kept saying this was not my prescription. But they checked and they were made to my prescription. Then they kept asking me if it was a bad prescription or bad location of the progressive areas. I said "I don't know, you're supposed to be the professionals." Later, In comparison, the 1st prescription from them was very different from last years prescription. I was there another hour while they tried to convince me to take them home to see if my eyes "got used to them" while I kept refusing to take them. The eye tech keep saying they could re-make them "only one time" under insurance like it was my fault. I left without the glasses. It was such a bad experience that I almost walked away and wasn't even going to go back for a refund. I had to make another eye exam appointment with a 2nd doctor which resulted in a very different prescription from the first one the 1st doctor did. The new prescription was similar with minor changes to my previous prescriptions so it was a bad eye exam and bad prescription. Then Lisa helped me with the new prescription & lense change. I felt so much more comfortable and confidant with her. She recommended a frame change from half frames to full frames because of the lense change. She took care of everything. The new prescription glasses came in 20 days later. The new glasses were fine. Luckily Lisa was there when I went to pick my glasses up. She expertly fitted the glasses for me. If I based the review on just Lisa and the 2nd doctor it would be 5 stars.

Worst Eye Exam Experience…read more This was by far the worst eye exam experience I've ever had, starting with the front office. I simply did not feel welcomed, and the entire visit felt rushed from beginning to end. I was charged two separate fees during my initial visit because I had an exam for both contacts and glasses, even though I believed these services were covered by my insurance. When I later called to make a simple adjustment/addition to my prescription, I was told I needed to come back for another eye exam--and another fee--even though I had been seen less than four months ago. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with over the phone quoted me the wrong cost for the exam, which added even more frustration and confusion to an already disappointing experience. I've already called to express my concerns and file a complaint, but nothing was done to resolve the issue. Now I'm being charged again for an eye exam within four months of my previous appointment. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service, communication, pricing information, and way this entire situation has been handled. I expected much better from an eye care provider and will not be returning.
