Driving around trying to get my favorite Shade fix, went to another location first, they said they couldn't fix, so driving down montauk I saw Pearle Vision had nothing to loose. They were very inviting and friendly and ask how can we help. I explained my lens and screw pulled out and if they can fix it? I waited like 10 minutes and they got it done. i was already to pay about $50.00 and jokingly said the tech whats the damage and he said no damage at all? have a nice day. I was totally in shock my phone rang and I couldn't talk. I asked him again how much and he said no joking have a nice day and thanking for stopping in! Each of the three women there were unpersonable, unpleasant and unhelpful. The older one in particular had a Mean Girls attitude that I found off-putting. The exam was also overpriced - at a staggering $144 BEFORE my insurance paid half. I will say however, that the optometrist there was excellent. He offered excellent insight and professional service that gave me the utmost confidence in his opinions. I'd go there for him, and literally nothing else. read more

I am outright applaud at the manner Dr. Sigman Treated my 16 year old daughter on 5/14/19 ! I typically give people the benefit of the doubt and second chances. The first time we saw him, we where there for glasses, he was impatient and we felt rushed, as if we where bothering him and a bit rude. I figured maybe he had a bad day...it happens. THIS time we where there for contacts and with only 8 min into our exam he increasingly became inpatient with my daughter as she was trying on her first set of contacts that he suggested ....fyi (She's familiar with contacts and has had them previously, from another company she just needed a refill which he insisted needed fitting for?) she goes to the bathroom to try them on and they kept popping out...he gives her a new set (different brand) one felt irritated so she couldn't feel the comfort she was about to take it out to try gain and he walks into the bathroom and says "I'll do it!", she looks at me to say NO. I tell the doctor "no it's ok she's familiar with contacts she'll do it herself". He then asks her to go back to the office and was about to place another contact in the eye that she already had a contact in.....We both told him not to because there was a contact in a already...he seamed confused and actually said he was confused. He then insisted on taking out her contact, she said "NO" and put her hand up to gesture her words, I said "she's clearly uncomfortable with the thought of your finger in her eye so let her do it", she was in the process of taking it out and then Dr. Sigman forcefully opens her lid, and takes out the contact himself after we clearly told him NOT TO! HE DIDN"T EVEN WASH HIS HANDS AND DIDN'T HAVE GLOVES ON!! The outrage was REAL! this is my CHILD and NO means NO! This was no way to treat a patient! Dr. Sigman then states loudly "I have patients to see", I said "Are we not patients?", "did we not make an appt two days prior", "have we not been here before?!! The Audacity was appalling and shocking! This man should not be treating anyone but himself with some therapy and anger management! He violated my daughter and forcefully insisted on invading her eye after we both said NO! My daughter ran off to the bathroom as she was upset and was clearly shaken up and crying over what just happened! I've worn glasses for a number of years now. I can't say enough about the quality of service I've received from Pearle of West Babylon. On more than one occasion I've either been negligent with my glasses, or my pet has got a hold of and compromised them. They always repair them no questions asked. They accept my insurance. Waited close to 2 weeks for my glasses. Was told 1 week. Then when the lenses arrived I was told would receive a call in a few hours it was a Saturday and Monday was a holiday. Never received a call so I called 30 minutes before closing and no one answered so I had to wait 3 more days. Then I find out my friend got the same frames with transition at a different Pearle Vision in Stoney Brook I got no transition lenses and the same frames and paid almost double. As a customer you expect to be greeted upon entry; help courteously and spoken to professionally. This place is run by meh people, who are only there to open and close the store. You place an order, they estimate the time of completion; you call to get an estimate you are told "we don't know; maybe this day or that" . You call to check on status, you get told we don't know if it is in store yet and cannot go thru all of them to find yours! They call you that your glasses arrived; you carve time out of your busy day to get there prior to closing time which is published as 8:00pm only to be told that you cannot get them as they only hand over your glasses until 7:00pm!!! You will end up going there on your weekend just to be served by an incompetent person whom you have to literally direct to give you your glasses and basically push to provide "free of charge" cases. They hand you your glasses on a tray and disappear, you could be sitting there looking around for hours without anybody asking you if everything was "ok" or if you needed additional information . Amusingly enough; if you wear contacts and need to take them out, you will be informed that they do not have any! Those are supplied by the contact lens manufacturer in dozens and are free anywhere you go. Be prepared to take them out and toss'm = as they "do not have any storage case" Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere but there! The personnel is incompetent, the service is none existing, the owner Dan Hans is to "busy" to check if your items have arrived and unless you really insist they don't even care to find out an estimated date of delivery and call you back. Please do take your business to any other store but there Frames are frames and glasses are glasses - all opticians carry the brands. I have gone to this location for my glasses, my daughter's and now my son's prescription. The staff is always pleasant and very knowledgeable. They are not pushy and always appeared to care about the customers needs first. I can say that I have witnessed other customers who were satisfied as well. All representatives have been great as I have dealt with a different person every time, never having been disappointed. The Dr. is great as well so whether you are getting a check up or already have your prescription, this is a great place to consider. read more

A very patient employee helped me pick out a frame. Unfortunately, because I needed such a strong prescription, it ended up feeling too heavy once the lenses were fitted in it. I came back to see if there was anything they could do, and to my surprise they let me exchange the frame for no extra charge (except for the difference in price of the frame). Their exchange policy is very generous considering it probably costs them money. I won't be going back since I had LASIK last year, but I highly recommend this location! read more

They didn't give me the correct size frame. They didn't look to see if the frames I chose were the correct size for me. When I was given the glasses the receptionist handed me the glasses. No trained tech tried them on me. They did take them back. When I was given the new pair the tech just handed them to me. I said can I try them on. I did without him even seeing if they were okay on me. Also, I had to call them each time to find out the delay in receiving the glasses. After speaking to an extremely helpful representative on the phone to order contacts, I was told when I got to the store that I owed $125 for never giving a union waiver in last year and that I wasn't allowed to receive my contacts that I paid $200 for until this bill was paid. I told this representative that I don't think it is fair that I have to pay money for someone else's clerical error and that I never received any calls about this. After 20 minutes of calling the union and a co-worker, this representative apologized for basically holding my contacts hostage when she found out I actually did give my waiver in last year. Then I asked her about the 3 extra months of contacts I was promised over the phone in order to match the 1-800-Contacts price. After another 20 minutes, this representative wanted me to return to this location because she claimed they didn't have any trials left and needed to order them. I told her that I would take any comparable contact lense and after another another 20 minutes I was given the same contacts I ordered that she said they didn't have. I am never returning to any Pearl Vision location again nor are any of my 5 family members who all buy contacts and glasses annually. Good luck. read more

I loved my experience at this Pearle Vision . I found everyone very friendly and professional. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door . The place was clean and the staff was pleasant . The woman Jackie helped me pick out my glasses and I found her very informative that I had changed my mind and upgraded to a way better pair that I now see more crystal clear out of and have an easier time seeing and driving . Pearle Vision is great, the managers are two of the kindest people. They will do anything to accommodate you and help you stay in you're price range. I have never had a problem with Pearle Vision.
