In addition to selling eyewear to the public, Juan also sells so-called "refurbished" equipment -- but what he sold me was nothing more than a lemon. I purchased an edger and from day one it has been a disaster. I've tried my hardest to work with him to resolve the problems, but enough is enough -- I can't keep wasting my time, money, and being constantly played like a fool. I've had the machine for months and was only able to use it a handful of times because of constant issues. He has zero accountability, takes no responsibility, and communicates horribly. Instead of fixing the issue or issuing a refund, he left me stuck with defective equipment that malfunctions repeatedly, costing me thousands in setup, expensive lens reorders, additional costs at another lab to cut lenses, and lost time. He clearly does not stand behind what he sells. And if this is how he handles equipment, I can only imagine the shortcuts, corner-cutting, and poor quality when it comes to your prescription eyeglasses and lenses. I went back 3 times (no re-examination, just change the prescription) with this pair and just gave up. I ended going to the competition and got a real education. I was given a very thorough eye exam by an experienced doctor and I was fitted with the correct type of glasses. The eye doctor at Americas Best said I was developing cataracts as it turned out I have one eye with scar tissue and the other eye was fine for a person my age. I don't think I will ever go back there again. The glasses and the exam are definitely second rate.

My appointment was initially scheduled for noon. I entered the store at 12:10 pm and was advised by Julie that I had to reschedule because I was late. I then stated I thought there was a fifteen-minute grace period. Julie then said they only allowed five minutes. I then asked to speak to the manager to see if I could still be seen. The manager, Joe Fulco, explained the store policy regarding appointment times to me.  During this time, I could tell he felt irritated that I had requested to speak to him due to his demeanor. I then stated information regarding the grace period should be made clear on the website so customers are aware. Mr. Fulco  stated, "The website doesn't need to say to be on time for you to be on time."  At this point, I told Mr. Fulco that I no longer wanted to reschedule and to file a complaint through corporate. As Mr. Fulco wrote down corporate information, I reiterate that his unprofessional comments towards me were unappreciated. Mr. Fulco then ripped the paper with the corporate information and told me to get it myself. I then said you know everything is on camera; that wasn't smart to do. At this point, I felt utterly disrespected and devalued as a paying customer. I proceeded to write down the store employees' names and exited the location.  This behavior committed by Joe Fulco is entirely unacceptable. Mr. Fulco should not hold a supervisory position at Visionworks. He should understand that he is held to a higher standard as a representative of your organization. The customer is always right, no matter what. The disrespectful behavior and unprofessional comments were not necessary. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

Not only did my daughter feel Doctor Manin was rude to her and in her words "mean" but felt it was because she was Hispanic. The supervisor Joe fulco gave me some BS about not having her prescription over the phone and in my opinion was steering a specific product. When confronted with a valid doctors prescription he back stepped his words. I have had issues at this location and it's the reason I stopped going there in particular. I paid for a replacement item, originally told it should arrive Wednesday. On Wednesday they said it was delayed for Thursday's holiday (Juneteenth). Called Saturday. Was told item still didn't arrive and that they would call me when it arrived. One week later I called, they said they had the item but there's no note to inform customer. The item ordered was suppose to be in connection to the original issue that brought me in. After the previous work they completed, there was damage to speaker resulting in the other person having difficulty hearing me. However once again, I was told there was no notation of that. How convenient. Whichever worker assisted me today was on a personal call when I arrived. He never hung up entire time I was being assisted. Last time I will use them for any services.
