It has both a large and small area for the dogs. Both are fenced in. Both have water and poopie bags available. For being in a neighborhood,it was pretty clean. It has a clay surface,like a baseball field. Which is what I prefer,no smell,and easier to keep clean. We lucked out,there was another beagle there today. I've visited this park often, especially during the summer days. You will find two, shaded…read moreplayground structures. One for the older kids and one for the little kiddo's. Both are padded areas including the swing section. You have a decent sized sand area located next to the older kids structure. There are plenty of picnic tables spread throughout the park. Some of them are near trees too for shade. I like that the tables are placed near the play area so that you can keep a close eye on your little ones. There is a large basketball area (one backboard only) adjacent to the parking lot. Sometimes you will find a workout group exercising in this area. Its a great spot for young scooter/bike users when the court is not being used. But, there is also a great paved sidewalk within the park for that too. There is a portion to be cautious about, and that's the sidewalk along the main street. There is a fence on that side, but that only separates the grassy area within the park and the sidewalk. I've been to the restroom only once and it was clean and maintained. The park is well kept, and the grassy areas are maintained as well. Looks like they have been working in some other grass areas that is struggling a bit. Parking could be an issue during the summer months.

Take note- there's no shade over the play structure so I'm sure the equipment gets really hot in the summer. Now for the update: The skate park is great. I've never seen aggressive skaters. There's also basketball courts and tennis courts. Parking has always been a breeze and I really love the covered picnic benches. The bathrooms aren't far from any area of the park and there are water fountains. I'll be back!

Well Leucadia Oaks…read morePark is close enough to the beach to give you that clean crisp air but far enough so you won't be bogged down with parking or other patrons. You can have an enjoyable morning or afternoon visit with your kiddos and be fresh enough to grab a bite and move onto your other adventures for the day. This playground has a variety of structures including slides, swings, climbing rings, and stepping platforms in addition the abundance of sand. In addition, there are plenty of benches and picnic tables for shared meal outdoors as well as a basketball hoop and skate park for those looking to take a break from the sand. For those looking forward to playing with sand, well you're in luck! They have an accessible water station (filtered water too for drinking) to help add that extra rigidity to your sand castles. There's a bit of grass for running but not a whole lot for field play. Otherwise, it's still good for picnicking. The park is rather quiet and it seems mainly locals come out here (most walked to and from the park). With that said, there's plenty of parking along the side of the park should you decide to commute out here. Overall, this park was pleasant and allowed our kids to experience sand as if they were at the beach and also play on a classic playground. Great place to soak in some sun for about half to a full hour before lunch or nap time (for the kids but I guess us adults too!)
