Beautiful and lengthy walking trail that has many access points. Water fountains, exercise stations, doggie doo receptacles and benches are along the trail. However restrooms will only be found at community buildings at the nearby park, or possibly a walk from the trail to the Sahara West Library nearby. read more

This is one of my all-time favorite parks in all of Las Vegas! It's super clean and has a gorgeous tree lined paved walking path. It winds between neighborhoods but you might not even notice because of all the surrounding growth. In addition to the change of pace from the large brown desert, the trees also provide ample shade for those hotter months. Along the trail you'll also find frolth, or frisby golf, if you're into that sort of thing. Me and my dogs love this area and this park! read more

Love, love, love this GREEN walking trail in the master planned community of Peccole Ranch! It's so green you would never know you were in the middle of a desert valley!! This is a paved walking trail surrounded by lush green grass and mature trees, and is suitable for humans, strollers, small bicycles, and equally pawesome for fur children. The small details are what makes this trail unique and aesthetically appealing: the leaves turning color in the fall, a bench dedicated to #VegasStrong, hopscotch, a mosaic patterned seating area and horseshoes cemented into the path, exercise stations, tunnels, footbridges, and an 18-hole disc golf course!! It's very well-manicured with an abundance of shade and newly planted pine trees to fill in some gaps. Plenty of poopy bag holders and trash containers along the path, as well as picnic tables and benches. There is a sand volleyball court and playground in the center of the trail. The restrooms were closed during our visit. Looks like most people park off of Apple Dr, especially if you want to start at #1 hole for disc golf, but we parked in the nearby quiet neighborhood. We didn't get through the entire trail, but ended up doing a 3-mile walk round-trip. Looking forward to coming back, maybe it'll be snow-covered by then. Enjoy the outdoors!! read more

I was looking for some place different for my morning walk. I remembered when I used to ride my bike through Peccole Ranch and I knew that was where I'd be going the next day. Peccole Ranch is about a mile east of where I live so I drove down Sahara and turned into Grand Canyon Drive and went to the community center. That's where I parked. I had remembered what I'll call the main trail. Leaving the parking area, you drop into the arroyo which has winding walkways and green grass. Along the hike, there is exercise equipment built in with instructions on doing the challenge. The walkways meander up and down as it gains elevation heading west. Eventually, the trail ends at Hualapai Way. You could jaywalk and cross Hualapai and connect to a trail in Summerlin that goes to the Community Park in Summerlin Centre. Reaching Hualapai, I turned around and retraced my steps. On this Christmas Eve, there were many people enjoying the walks with their families and dogs. When I got back to the community center area, I passed it off and continued to where another trail goes west and comes out near Hualapai Commons. This section has a disc gold course and you can exit the main walkway and come out on Charleston Boulevard. The walkways were so well planned. You can enter/exit from Sahara, Fort Apache, Hualapai, or Charleston. Enjoy the greenery and shade from the many evergreen trees. It's a great place to get some exercise. read more

So as you can imagine with November around the corner, I will be on the trail every day and I highly recommend you guys check it out too. We have lived in Peccole Ranch for about five years. We had not made much use of the walking trail until our daughter was born. It is a great way to get out and about with a stroller. We can walk straight from our front door to an entrance near the back of our neighborhood. There is plenty of street parking at various entrances to the green belt. My favorite thing about it, especially right now, is that is is more shaded than other areas. This, combined with the grass makes it much cooler in the hotter months. Of course, we do tend to go out pretty early, but it is also nice in the evenings. The trail connects to many neighborhoods, parks, streets, etc. I often see people with strollers, families on bikes, and people walking their dogs. It is a little piece of paradise in the desert! read more

Very peaceful walking trail. People friendly. Animal friendly. Quiet, beautiful, greenery, clean, very long walking trail that goes many directions. You can listen birds singing. Bird houses at some areas. It's not for sports, is for individual workouts. The trail is a reverse of C shape. From north entrance of S. Hualapai Way to south entrance of S. Hualapai Way is about 1.95mi. It took me 35 minutes walked one way(no short cuts). The only thing I wish it has is the restroom. read more

HEALTH IS HAPPINESS The Peccole Ranch Walking Trail (PRWT) is an unsigned Summerlin trail system in the neighborhood bounded by Hualapai Way to the west, Charleston Boulevard to the north, Fort Apache Avenue to the east, and Sahara Avenue to the south. After experiencing PRWT, I see it as three connected concrete trails winding through a continuous linear park. Trail 1 starts at Hualapai Way to the west which is 0.4 miles north of Sahara Avenue. A tunnel carries it under Grand Canyon Drive. After intersecting with a spur trail, it heads northeast. A second tunnel carries it under Red Hills Drive. Leaving the tunnel it parallels Apple Drive up to it concludes at Trail 2 near Charleston Boulevard. This is the physical fitness trail. Fitness stations with cooresponding descriptive signs adorn the parkscape. They include a vertical ladder, chinning bars, and squat-stretch bench. If health is happiness, this is the trail to happiness. Trail 2 runs south of the commercial and residential development along Charleston Boulevard from Hualapai Way to a couple hundred feet east of the Apple Drive tunnel. Trail 2 weaves through a linear disk golf course. Trail 3 is the spur trail off Trail 1, which continues the due-east direction of PRWT past a surface crossing with Preakness Pass to the easternmost point at Fort Apache Road. In late November, I spent a couple of hours enjoying an adventure on PRWT. It reminded me of its sister linear parks in Summerlin: The Pueblo Park and Cottonwood Canyon. However, there were a few characteristics that separated PRWT from its sister linear parks. In comparison, it is a more compressed space bordered by walls instead of larger homes up on hills; with the exception of the trail east of Preakness Pass, the landscape is golf course green grass; and parking lots are nonexistent. My adventures along PRWT color me impressed. Graffiti is nonexistent. Mature pine trees and colorful trees that left sprinklets of fallen leaves on golf course green grass attracted birds. Birds were everywhere. Many of the adjacent backyards have humingbird feeders. The white concrete trail is a work of art that gently weaved between the bordering walls of the linear park and under picturesque tunnels. Green streetlamps complimented the parkscape. The gentle inclines added texture to the trail. And the fitness stations are a celebration of good health. This is an unadvertised trail. Signing and parking lots are nonexistent. My advice is to park at either the Sahara West Library parking lot or Hualapai Commons Shopping Center anchored by Smith's at the southeast corner of Charleston and Hualapai. To reach PRWT from the Sahara West Library, you will walk north on Grand Canyon Drive for 0.4 miles until you reach the overpass. The Hualapai Commons is adjacent to PRWT. Both parking lots are a relatively short distance east of the 215. After spending a couple of hours exploring PRWT I felt uplifted and a few pounds lighter than when I came into the trail. I felt healthy! As the sign says on the fitness trail "health is happiness. " And because this is the season of giving, I want to give people happiness by recommending an adventure on the Peccole Ranch Walking Trail. read more

I love this park and walking trail. I often ride bicycles through this park. It is connected to several other trails, so if you do the whole systems, it is approximately 3.5miles. Do watch out for the inconsiderate pet owners that do not pick up after their pets. This is also part of the Peccole Ranch Community, and connects with their disc golf course. It was my second time visiting here with my 4 months old kitten. Nice and quiet, and not crowded with people nor dogs unlike other parks so I was happy to come back as for her social training. But it was ruined by a man who waters the lawn. We were having a great time until he just came with his truck, turned on the water without warning us, and he was just watching her panicked and us getting wet while he's leaning on his truck. It's very f*ed up and I'm nothing but furious. If anybody know which company is in charge, let me know. If managers of the community read this, please report him. I've just come back home right now and writing this. read more

We took our three kids to this trail to get out of the house and let them run around a little. It was mostly well maintained but despite ample pet clean up stations there was still a lot of dog poop in the grass. There are lots of trees, some perfect for climbing and plenty of birds to look at. There weren't too many people so the kids could run among the grass, trees and various plant life undeterred. (Except for dog poop). There is disc golf too. My only other complaint is the the entrances and exits for the trail are mostly in gated communities. We entered through a strip mall but it wasn't easy to find. It ran along the shopping area the whole way so we could hear garbage trucks and busy parking lot traffic the whole time. Cute little area but I'm not sure it is worth the trip. read more

What a stunning park. There was a nice mile+ hike. There isn't a great deal of shade, so wear a hat and bring sunscreen. The hike follows a dusty trail, but you could see that a tractor had recently graded the path. This hike isn't just for walkers. There were plenty of bikes as well. There is wildlife in the form of rabbits, birds, squirrels. We found a shrew on the side of the path. The trail winds along the base of a hill. It's all pretty rugged, but lovely. Don't forget a bottle of water. Like I said, there is very little shade. The trail, at about half way, has a cut off to the playground. We didn't know that, but took advantage of it on the way back. They are beautiful. Huge by most standards. Bring sand equipment to dig with. This is a big, wide open, park with plenty of picnic tables or places to throw a blanket. Zig zag trail with a tunnel and plenty of spots to sit. It offers plenty of shade but not much open space if that's what you're looking for.

I love running here. It's ten degrees cooler down in the shade near the wet grass than on the sidewalks. It's always clean and safe. Great spot to walk, run, ride a bike or walk your pets. Beautifully shaded trail. Clean and residential. Not crowded and walkers are friendly. Leashed dogs are welcome. Poop bags and trash cans are available. Everyone seems to pick up after their dogs so far! Park in the shopping center on the southeast corner of Hualapai and Charleston, on the Cracked Egg/The Pint side. You will see an opening into the trail at the south end of their parking lot. read more

I love this park/trail. It snakes through various areas in summerlin and the trail is always clean and well maintained. They've been doing a lot of construction on the area closest to Apple & Charleston so I haven't been able to use that area as of late, but the other parts of the trail are still easily accessible and worth the trip! You'll run into a lot of dog walkers and joggers, everyone is very friendly and there are benches spaced throughout the area. All in all a wonderful trail/park. read more

We love these trails! I've taught all 3 of my kids how to ride bikes on this trail. The frisbee course users are very courteous and dogs are almost always leashed. It's gorgeous! Watch out for flash flooding though, this turns into a river in minutes. read more

It's nice enough, the temp is always a little cooler here which is nice but it's been under construction for some time. After being in this valley more than 25 years, I have really grown to appreciate the Walking Trails in Peccole Ranch. As a Realtor I am usually out playing tour guide showing many of the communities Las Vegas has to offer. Peccole Ranch is usually on the list of places we visit. Being and older community, the huge trees offer relief and solace to a point you would think you were somewhere else in the country entirely. The miles of trails offer great exercise for your morning walk or detailed work out on your daily regiment. Disc Golf within the trails is a great way to spend many hours getting out with family and friends. There are also plenty of picnic areas if that is more your speed. I highly recommend this community to many of my clients for its very unique walking trails that are not like anything else you will find in Las Vegas read more
