Before another 45-minute drive to our destination, I decided to stop to let our dog stretch her legs out at Cougar Creek Park which was located in the Southwest area of Las Vegas, NV. CONS It seemed like a nice park, but I would just be cautious of dog owners who let their dogs off the leash. I don't. I not only don't trust other dogs, but even after a year of adopting her I still don't know my 10-year-old dog well enough to predict her reactions. Also, there were public restrooms, but they were locked on November 23, 2025 at around 2:30 PM. Why? PROS + free parking + pickleball court + picnic facilities + playground with rock play structures + running/walking path + splash pad Nice green grass park with dog waste bag receptacles surrounding by cookie cutter homes galore.

This park is amazing! We don't live close but always try and come play if we are ever on this side of town. There is a lot to do and gets very busy at nighttime in the summer because of this. Love how well lit it is at night as opposed to many other parks around the valley. The grass is well maintained and there is a lot of it in many different places which is great. My only complaint is the insane pigeon problem and thus the hardened pigeon poop every where. If you're planning to have a picnic, PLEASE remember to bring a table cloth.

I have lived nearby Couger Creek Park for years and have never stepped foot here until this morning. (+) This park is surprisingly much larger than I thought! They have playground space for both the kiddos and the fur brats and even some pickleball courts! This was really one of the first truly warm days we've had since probably September or so and it was nice to walk around the park with our dog. (+) They do have all the things you need to pick after up your dog when does his business there. So, no excuses! lol We walked our dog around the area and had her in a harness and a leash. Of course someone had a very large rottweiler there at the park. OFF their leash. This is the kind of dog that could eat my dog. It so incredibly thoughtless when these owners do this. Yea, we get it, they are great around YOU. They are not necessarily great around strangers. Go figure. Selfish and inconsiderate of others. Shocking in this town, I know. Anyways, the park is a-ok. Seen better. Seen worse. 3 stars.

This is a wonderful park and one of my favorites in the area. The park is huge! I went a few times before I even realized how far it went. The park has a small pickleball court with two courts, which is always busy. It has a large walking path around the park, which on nice nights will be full of couples walking, kids riding bikes and others enjoying. There are multiple play areas including a super water play area that is pretty unique in that it has funnel type water ways and rocks. There is a zip line, a sandpit and lots of green grass to run around and roam. There is also picnic tables to enjoy some food and a ping pong table (bring your own equipment). All the kids I have met and adults seem fairly pleasant and not too much riff raff.

Cougar Creek Park is in a convenient location, just a few minutes from many food spots and businesses. The park has tons of grassy areas, plenty of paved sidewalks, picnic tables, and ample parking. Some fun features include two shaded play structures (one for bigger kids and one for smaller ones), climbing rocks, a log tunnel, percussive musical instrument structures, checkers and chess tables, and a splash pad. My three-year-old really enjoyed exploring both play structures. But his favorite part was the sign language wall, the piano wall art, and the insects wall on the smaller play structure. The park was clean, felt safe, and had plenty of people there when we visited. We didn't get to try the splash pad yet since it's currently winter, but we will plan to try it out once it gets warmer again outside! The only reason I took off a star is because the musical instruments were broken. Hopefully they can get those repaired soon!

This might be our favorite park/ splash pad in the southwest area. Make sure you bring water toys such as buckets/cups, little boats, & maybe some cars. There is a super fun splash pad, but in addition there is a small river next to it that the kids can turn which way the river flows. It is fun to bring boats and have them float down and catch them at the bottom. The one bummer is the park during the hot summer. Even with the shade tarps the sun comes in at a weird angle and heats up the slides really fast. So it is best to come to this park in the morning before it reaches over 100 degrees. They also have super large covered areas with picnic benches for parties or just sitting down to watch your kid play. I always find that when I go they are always super hot from the weird angle sun comes in at so I always bring a camping chair so I can sit down where ever.

There's a lot to discover at this park, for adults and children! The walking path is nice and circles the park. There are many educational aspects to the play areas, and a splash pad too. A zip line for the youngsters is another fun aspect of the park. Nature themes are plentiful throughout the park, and I found the shade structure with a "natural" roof to be very unique. Wayfinding signs are very helpful and can be found on various sides of the park. A large grass area is nice for enjoying on milder weather days. The parking areas are large, and the landscaping was plentiful as well. This park is great for enjoying during all kinds of Vegas weather!

First time here and I must say this place is a beauty. Perfect for kids of all ages including adults! They have a playground for toddlers, older kids and even a little gym section for adults to work out! How great is that? Perfect for all seasons, especially summer. Cougar Creek has a decent size splash pad to get your kids refreshed with the heat. Patios with benches all around. Big grass areas to have picnics or even gather with some family and friends. What more could you ask for in just a park? Perfect for a family day out and let the kids run wild.

    Steff A.

This brand new park sports some cool playgrounds for the kids. The splashpad will definitely be a hit once the Vegas heats starts coming back soon. There's a workout area for the adults. There's a some brand new grass area which is always great for any park. Finally, there's a small jogging trail that goes around the park which reviews claims it's 1/2 mile. I'm mainly reviewing on the two brand new Pickleball courts that were built here. The surface is immaculate and the night lighting is bright and smartly designed. You don't have to worry about looking into the light if a ball is lobbed at you while you're closing in the net. (kitchen area) What I really appreciate is the fact that there's a fence divider between the two courts. This helps prevent stray balls from interrupting your game and it's something every pickleball player will appreciate. As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, these courts will get more and more popular as their brand new. See you out there!

My daughter's fave! It has bbq grills, splash pads, exercise equipments. Walking trails and covered age appropriate play areas.

I'm not entirely sure what people look for in a park but Cougar Creek park seems to have it all. There is plenty of seating all along the park and various play areas for kids to tire themselves out on. The park is very dog-friendly and has quite the area for dogs to roam about and play. There are no fences though so it's not a good off-leash site for dogs who tend to bolt. There is also an awesome water play area with fountains that shoot water up from the ground. I've seen many parties hosted in the park as there is ample space and plenty for kids to do. There is also a "fitness challenge" area of the park with exercise stations. It's not typical exercise equipment, and I haven't taken too good of a look, but it's there. You may even see some groundhogs or bunnies darting under bushes or into dens along your walk!

Cougar creek park is somewhat small but still spacious enough to comfortably accommodate adults & kids alike. There's benches, shaded table/seating areas, multiple playgrounds, Workout area with numerous pieces of outdoor workout equipment, tennis courts, Chess/checkers tables, a walk/jog/running path, a nice size field just in case the mood for a picnic in the park should strike you. And even a water part where kids can splash around & have fun in the sun getting wet. About 2 years ago a park wasn't even here. So it's relatively brand-new. It's really nice & clean in a really nice neighborhood.

Other side of the fitness area. For cardio and leg raises.

Such a beautiful park with gorgeous equipment. It has a zip line, a rock climbing hill, two playgrounds, lots of picnic tables for hosting parties, a fitness center for parents who want to work out as their kids play, an archeology dig site, and a clean restroom. Parking is available on both Wigwam and Cougar Ave. It has shaded areas but it does get super hot real fast so definitely bring a bottle, which you can refill at their water station by the restrooms. When we just parked at about 430p on Friday, an ice cream truck showed up! Not sure if they come at the same time everyday. We didn't partake but that's a cool option to have since this park isn't directly next to any food shops. Now that it's getting hotter I really appreciate that this location has an interesting splash pad set up. With different kinds of fountains that are button operated. The river area is pretty cool, we've never seen this type of amenity before. I wish we brought little cups or buckets so my kids could manipulate the water. But totally not necessary as they had loads fun without it. We'll definitely be back. We're currently setting up play dates with other families to meet here since summer is coming soon.

    Parking lot views.

While we were helping him get set up, he touched one of the laser tag guns and an employee immediately got irritated and told him in a very rude tone that he "doesn't understand" and couldn't play anymore. He's a young child -- kids that age are still learning and developing at different paces. There was no need to speak to him that way, especially in front of everyone. He ended up in tears. When I calmly approached to understand what happened, the employee continued with the same attitude and dismissive behavior. Instead of de-escalating, she became confrontational, which eventually led to security being called and us being asked to leave. The situation was completely blown out of proportion and handled in a very unprofessional way. This is a children's venue. Staff should be patient, understanding, and trained to communicate appropriately with young kids and their parents. If someone doesn't have the temperament to work around children, this may not be the right environment for them. On top of that, the playground area itself raises safety concerns. There are kids of all ages running full speed through a treehouse-style structure with steep stairs and heavy traffic, which feels like an accident waiting to happen without proper supervision or flow control. Very disappointing experience overall. Parents should be aware of how interactions are handled here.
