Pueblo Park is a spacious, quiet, green park with a couple of nice trails through desert flora. It's not well lit past sunset so I recommend walking or visiting during the day. I really do wish they'd light up the walkway especially during the summer at night since it's the safest time for a walk. I like that it's dog-friendly. You'll find poop bags on either side of the park and on the trails in case you forget to bring your own. Many of the dog owners who visit here are thoughtful to watch their dog, keep them leashed and pick up after them. It's definitely ideal for a picnic or hangout with friends and family! read more

I don't review parks or trails on a frequent basis. Pueblo Park though is one of the better spots I have been to in the Vegas area for a walk or jog, so thought it was worthy of some recognition. The trail is long enough that you can walk for at least an hour at a brisk pace and be able to see quite a bit of the paved trail without having to u turn right away. You can also leave the trail at various junctures if you do want to return to the parking area via some of main streets surrounding the park. read more

In going to different areas of Summerlin for morning walks, I drive to the Pueblo Park near the corner of Buffalo and Lake Mead. The entrance for parking is off Lake Mead. There are plenty of parking spaces. The walk ended being 3.3 miles round trip from where I parked. There are restrooms in that area and it's the beginning of a large green area. There is a children's play area that I didn't visit. The walk meanders back and forth across an arroyo. In some places, you cross the arroyo on a bridge. In other places, the trail is protected by large boulders. The trail runs to Rampart Boulevard and it's a slight grade all the way. To Rampart Boulevard, the gain was 175 feet. As with all Summerlin parks, it is well maintained and picturesque. About halfway, you come to an exercise area with chinning bars and benches if you're doing weights. There's a tunnel under Pueblo Vista Drive. You could park there and enter there. At the end of the trail, there are two ways out. One is to take the path up to the east side of Rampart. You could park at the Bruce Trent lot and walk down to the entrance. I chose to go through the tunnel under Rampart Boulevard and up to street level to completed the outbound leg. On the way back, my time was better because it's almost all on a downgrade as you enjoy giving up the 175 feet you ascended. Near the end of my hike, I saw two antelope ground squirrels and then a cat. I tried to get a photo of the cat but it's feral and took off. I looked over the bank and saw that there was a water dish and a food dish. Someone is caring for these cats. Just before the parking lot, I saw three or four more feral cats. This is the first time I've seen feral cats in a Summerlin Park but seeing animals made the hike. This is one of the longest linear parks in Summerlin and it gives you a a scenic workout. read more

Look I used to love this park me and my pup would go walking every morning here we play he'd run you know normal stuff. Had a couple months ago I started noticing a lot of owners were not picking up after their pets which leads to just a lot of things passed on from animal that can cause a lot of you know serious issues amongst them. They would bag up the feces and they tied it n threw it in the bushes, on the side of the walking trails disgusting irresponsible owners. So today we went and there was a heroin spoon. It was a spoon that was bent back with brown powder on it. Very disgusting it was thrown in the grass. Now I don't plan I never going back there to be honest with you laughing I need is my dog to snort up some drugs by accident and overdose or something stupid like that that could've been prevented. Or sick from poo not being picked up. All these decent or nice parks are getting just trashed because of all these disrespectful people that are moving in to Vegas from a lot of different states n countries. Not saying all, cus that's not true but there are always a handful that love ruining nice places bec they can. Used to be a safer place, clean bec the Vegas residence cared about Vegas, considering it's our home. read more

Really weird to have a basketball court, playground and gazebo, but no bathroom anywhere in sight. Nice walking trail with chipmunks and hummingbirds all over. The walkway isn't wide enough for all the skateboarders, bicyclist and pedestrians though. read more

This review is based solely off the new playground. The rest of the park is as beautiful as it has always been and my review only reflects my new found opinion of the playground in light of the renovations that took place last year. Being as I just had a baby (who at this time is now only 8 months old) I was excited to some day take her to the park that I played at so many times as a child. However, after the remodel the playground is for all intensive purposes, dan-ger-ous! Definitely not a place to go down a slide with your little one or even walk him or her up.. being as you HAVE TO climb up the ropes. In the past there were stairs, multiple big kid slides and some small baby slides. It was the perfect little park. Not any more!! Oh and the saddest renovation has to be that they took out the big swings and now some smaller, more child friendly swings, lie in their wake. I mean, to be fair, the old swings were pretty tall but I fell off those swings plenty of times and didn't break anything! I'm guessing I was just one of the lucky ones. Maybe I'm just feeling nostalgic but I literally cried a few tears when I saw the swings were gone. So many memories as a toddler, child, teenager and adult were made on that swing set. Shame on you Pueblo park! read more

After hiking through Pueblo Park last Saturday and in 2008, I have something to say. I am a fan. Pueblo Park is a linear park that connects Rampart Boulevard to the southwest corner of Buffalo Drive at Lake Mead Boulevard in Summerlin. The main entrance and the parking lot sits at the southwest corner of Buffalo Drive at Lake Mead Boulevard. Past the parking lot, Pueblo Park begins in a grassy area with picnic tables, basketball hoops, restrooms, and the general community park amenities. West of the grassy park, Pueblo Park develops into a winding paved trail that follows an arroyo. Regardless that Pueblo Park parallels Lake Mead Boulevard and is bordered by homes on top of hills; with the exception of two developed community parks, it is an island of nature in Summerlin. There is so much nature to see and hear. I never saw as many bunny rabbits as I did today. And these bunny rabbits were not the timid ones that run off when they see a human. There were varieties of birds. Birds are the soundtrack to a walk through Pueblo Park. There were lizards. The landscaping is candy to the eyes. Yet, there is a common sight missing at Pueblo Park. Graffiti! Kudos to the Summerlin Council for keeping on top of graffiti control. Pueblo Park is a safe place for a short hike. The trail is paved and relatively flat. Homes border the park. Tunnels eliminate the automobile and pedestrian conflict. Being in Summerlin it is fitting that Pueblo Park ends at a golf course. After the second tunnel (travelling from the east) the hiking trail merges with the Rampart Boulevard walking path. read more

Busy bee, that's what I am... I just find it hard to find time to exercise and going to the gym just doesn't work for me. When I am fortunate enough to have that extra hour in a day to go for a walk, my boys and I like to come here. Ample parking, I've never had an issue finding space for my speed racer ;-). Peaceful.... Huge grassy field for my boys to run around when I'm resting after my walk. I LOVE trees and they have beautiful trees here that kids can easily climb. Reminds me of the days when I was young, oh so long ago.... It's always clean, I've never seen garbage here ever. Follow the path and you'll find benches to rest, a playground and tables with shade for people to bbq. The path I take goes all the way to Rampart but you can also follow a path to the right where you enter a tunnel. I've never taken this path so if you do, lmk where it leads hehe and just maybe I'll consider this path. Also, enjoy the rabbits and squirrels! read more

The two star review is mainly due to the park renovation. First off, why didn't they take into account the extreme hot weather? I assumed there would be some type of shaded tarp to keep the playground equipment from getting scalding hot. Secondly, the design is horrible for young children. They made it a lot smaller, and harder for the kids to climb/play. Lastly, only good thing to come out of the renovation is they covered the sand pit. We used to find trash or dog poop in there. read more

Need a nice place to walk the dog and/or yourself? Want to host a BBQ or birthday party? Want to play on the swings? Just need to enjoy the great outdoors? You can do all that here at Pueblo Park. This place is in my 'hood, so I walk my dog Marley here a lot; the large grassy area in the middle of the park is great for us to run around. There is one covered patio area that's popular for parties; my godson just had his birthday party there, complete with a bouncy house on the grass. There's a playground and the aforementioned swings, as well as another uncovered area with tables and a BBQ. It's a nice neighborhood park in the Pueblo section of Summerlin and a great option for when you want to get outside and chill...or get moving. read more

I love this park. It has something for everyone. Want to get the kids off the couch? It is a great place to take the kids to play on the playground which includes swings, slides, and a sandbox. Want to get some exercise? There is a great paved path to ride bikes or go on a jog around the field of grass. There is also an easy hiking trail. Want to give the pets some exercise and change of scenery? It is a great place to take your dog for a walk. Want to have a picnic? There is a great picnic area that is well lit, complete with barbecue grills. Plenty of grass to lay a blanket and take a nap. Plenty of trees and shade. I am a big fan. The first time I came it was after school, and there were a ton of teenagers hanging around. But, when I brought the kids earlier in the day, they practically had the park to themselves. read more

What a great walking park. We were from out of town and wanted to walk for awhile. Highly recommend this location

The Pueblo Park is about 60-plus-acre linear park that features basketball court, open play areas, a desert interpretive garden, two children's play areas, eight-foot-wide multi-use path, jogging path, natural  areas, and an exercise station area. The entrance to Pueblo Park is off Lake Mead Blvd., just west of Buffalo Blvd. The park also has bathrooms, picnic tables and grill. The Pueblo Park Trail is very peaceful the two times I walked there. It is very well-landscaped. There were walkers with dogs and runners. I wouldn't recommend it for bicycle usage, due to the high number of pedestrians and the short lengths. The first time I went there, there was a car filled with teenagers smoking pot inside the car on the parking lot and I think it's been known to happen often. You can walk a 3 mile, out and back, winding paved path complemented by natural flora and fauna and the occasional wild rabbit.  Keep in mind, the path also meanders up and down giving you a nice little workout. Don't forget to bring water!..and for your furry friend too! read more

My bf and I, we like to take long walks in the park in the evening and on the weekends. Last weekend we went to this park. It was my first time there and I was super surprised. This park is so green and lush! Whoa. I'm jealous of the people living nearby. The walking trails are great even if there's limited shading. There's an awesome picnic area with a lot of trees and grills. It looks so inviting I wish I had some corn to grill right there and then. Definitely coming back to this park in the near future. read more

A gorgeous park for us lucky locals! It has been my top 2 favorite parks in Summerlin for years. This beautiful wash park is great for walking/running/biking, picnic, kids playing, walking the dogs, soccer and basketball practice...and even "Hiking"! Yes, hiking, too! Read on, if interested. - Oh yes, this park is very well maintained by the landscape crew and patrolled by the park security. The entire park is wheelchair accessible. - Its paved path, with pleasant views of the washbeds and the nice houses on the banks above, stretches out to 1.7 gentle miles long from the main Entrance on Lake Mead (west side of Buffalo) to the Rampart end. - There are TWO beautiful, large grass lawns (on each side of Pueblo Vista), several covered pavilions with grills and picnic tables, three playgrounds, a small basketball court...even a small corner with "fitness exercise stations" in the open rest area/playground by the Rampart end. - There are plenty of places for resting. Besides pavilions, there are also park benches thoughtfully placed every 0.25mi or so on the path for you to enjoy the beauty of the park in peace! At the Rampart end by the golf course, there are 2 more small rest courts on each side the overpass/tunnel, one of which has a chessboard on its table. - It has bathroom facilities by the front entrance side. For the Rampart side, there is no restroom, but one could use the facility in the Trent Park Sports Complex on Vegas/Rampart, 0.2mi up. - For parking, besides the lots beyond the main entrance off Lake Mead, there are parking spaces also on Pueblo Vista St (off Lake Mead), right above the tunnel/overpass, nearby the Lutheran Church and school. There are paved paths off the street overpass leading into the park. SOMETHING EXTRA: - To extend the walking distance, one can branch out by going up and down the paths to/from resident areas. For even greater distance, you can also walk another 0.2mi on Vegas towards Rampart to get into the "Trent Park Sports Complex" around the corner. BTW: This park is worth a visit, too. - For the more adventurous, one can "hike" on several sections of WASH BEDS and/or on the upper DIRT Trails along the school fence or along the perimeters of the residential wall - it'd be almost like HIKING! (see pics). - Enjoy your "HIKE" but do be CAREFUL and stay clear of areas where there are watering dripper/sprinklers, and have a good pair of walking/hiking shoes. I love this park. It's not huge in the amount of kids structures, but for a great walking trail and bike riding it's wonderful. Perfect to just get it and stretch your legs. There is a climbing area and another little park maybe half a mile down the road. read more

Love this park. Wonderful to go for a run here. The park is always clean and well taken care of. I usually see quite a few people here so it's really nice to see people out and about enjoying their time at the park. One thing- I feel so bad for all the stray cats here! But they're obviously made their home here so I am not by any means complaining. Someone comes around every day to give them food and water so it's not like this park is letting them stay here with no care. This would be a great place for a birthday party, picnic, dog walk, or whatever the event may be. read more

Useful, well kept, small park that is hidden away. Good trail walk. There is a lush green lawn, with shade trees and tables around it, as well as a children's play area. The trail is another point in its favor -- it meanders through a dry wash and is plenty long for a good walk back and forth. Apparently, you can hike it to the end, then walk along Rampart to another park (Bruce Trent Park). I've not done this yet, as the trail in this park is enough for me and my older dogs. The main negative is very little parking. So if the slots are filled, go back out to Lake Mead, turn right onto Buffalo, then turn right immediately into the Pueblo subdivision and you will find additional parking just past the subdivision's fitness center. Just to the side of the fitness center is a small outdoor pool. Behind that is is a gate that is not locked that will let you get into the park. I don't think there are any other entrances that are not locked. read more

Starting from Lake Mead and Buffalo . Just a little west of Buffalo is the main entrance to this hidden little gem of a park. If you have an hour or so to invest in your health and soul this park/ trail will pay dividends. Weekends are usually a little busier than weekdays. A round trip will take you from buffalo to Rampart and back is approx 3.8 miles.ots of chipmunks birds butterfly's rabbits lizards and one area has a herd of Ferrell cats ( herd?) . A few water stations can be found on with quite a few shaded areas. Some really nice grass areas and my favorite part is on the Rampart end you will find an exercise area where peeps are doing yoga , working on the dip bars . But for me it's the spongy floor that is so fun to jump up and down on. I'm 55 ..of and so eto es we play on the swings!. Almost forgot to mention, bbq area. Occasionally people forget to clean up the bbq after themselves so you may see empty cans etc.other than that it's a very pleasurable place. read more

This is a nicely maintained and clean public park managed by the Summerlin HOA. Easy access from the Lake Mead Blvd entrance near Buffalo Rd. There are about 60 feral cats living in this park. At one point that number was as high as 120, so the Park maintenance people began a program to neuter the cats and reduce the population through natural attrition. It is a sight to see some time between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM each day when the maintenance people bring cat food to place near the dry arroyo riverbed. Usually more than 20 cats come to each feed location. Word to the wise, these cats are FERAL for real! Wild and not domesticated they will attack any human who is foolish enough to try and pet them. Also note that it is illegal to dump any pet in a park to get rid of it. The park is nicely finished and built out, so I recommend you check it out. read more

I walk my dog on this park everyday. It is rarely ever busy! But the views, natural scenery and wide path give it a clandestine treasure feel. The side paths that wind up to the individual developments were very well thought out. This is a must if you love friendly walking trails. read more

I've tried other places for my morning run and this one by far is the best. It's a bit of a drive from where I live but well worth it. If you hate being stuck indoors on a treadmill like I do, I highly recommended trying this trail. read more

I also love the scenery and that it is a long enough trail that I feel like I get a decent workout if I don't feel like doing strenuous cardio. Lucky me! I live very close to Pueblo Park and love walking there a few times a week. Nice 4 mile round trip, elevations so I don't get bored, busy enough that I feel safe, not too busy to feel crowded. If anything, I wish it was a bit more lit. There are some dark pockets fit for troll dwellings (or so I imagine!). read more

We love this park. We love feeling like we are going on a hiking adventure without having to travel far for one, or worry if the kids will be okay during the hike. Lots of large grassy fields to play, beautifully kept basketball court, clean Sandy playground that overlooks the basketball court so it is a perfect place for our family to hang around. I just love how you are away from the streets. It's a nice trek to go on whether you are a walker, jogger, runner...plus, it's nice to see the desert landscape and the desert bunnies hopping around. This is a nice park w/a gr8 walking trail from Buffalo to Rampart in a natural desert setting. Park is well maintained and there are grass fields, basketball courts, exercise pit stops, picnic tables, playgrounds and restroom facilities. Lots of plants, critters and dog walkers. People are friendly but keep a look out for speeding bikers. For a good 3 mile walk/jog get on over to Pueblo. You'll enjoy the scenery. read more
