After several calls and messages left, I finally got a hold of them a few days before, where it was confirmed there would be NO private event. the day rolls around, we are on the way and photographer on the way and we pull up to Bedell and there is a sign saying CLOSED FOR PRIVATE EVENT, despite being told twice we were good to proceed and there was no private event. Upon entering, I was met by security, who snarkily asked me if I saw the big sign out front. I did see the sign dipshit, I just made plans to propose here and now I can't. I was able to propose spontaneously nearby and everything was great, and I am somewhat thankful for the circus that Bedell management is, because the proposal turned out better where it was held than it ever would have at this place. Will never go back here again, highly recommended going to Rosehill instead, very friendly and great wine. They definitely won't mess up your once in a lifetime plans like Bedell did.

At around 3:30PM, the place was buzzing. There were lots of people sitting at the food area, and even more at the bar area where the band was. Lots of parking at this place, even though there were a lot of people. Ordered the Double Duck and Leaf Pile Ale, both winners. Got a couple more and tried the Leaf Pile Pie, that was good too. Decided to get food, and was surprised to see a nice selection other than the usual bar fare. They've got a full kitchen, and we got the Grilled Octopus salad, wings, and mac and cheese. The octopus salad was fantastic, don't let the rustic presentation put you off. The band was lovely, and as the night rolled in, they had the floor packed with line dancers and everyone else that just wanted to move with the music. My family and I went to Osprey's Dominion Vineyards on Friday, July 4th. We had purchased Groupons…read morebeforehand. Since we were a group of 7 and the offer only comes in a package for 2 or for 4, we bought two Groupons for the Wine Tasting Experience for four persons. The Wine Tasting Experience included a Boar's Head platter featuring uncured Genoa salami and mozzarella, and Wheat Thins crackers to share, wineglasses for each person to take home, and 5 wine tastings per person. When we arrived at Osprey's Dominion Vineyards, there were plenty of parking spots and we checked in at the Tasting Room. The staff member provided us with 8 wine tasting placemats so we could indicate which wine tastings we would like and briefly explained the different types of wine. We could choose from the red, white, reserve, and the dessert wine list. I chose mostly whites and 2 rosés. My favorite was the Semi-Dry Riesling, though the Gewurztraminer was a close second. There are plenty of tables in the Tasting Room with large windows and even more tables outside. Outside, there are some tables on the patio and even more tables on the great lawn with barbecue pits. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards allows guests to bring their own picnic lunches, which is wonderful. We had prepared some charcuterie, fruit, chips, and sandwiches. After we finished our wine tastings, I purchased a bottle of Semi-Dry Riesling 2018 and Malbec 2019 for us to share. Since we were Groupon customers, we received a 20% discount on the wine-bottle purchase. There is an even a 30% discount on a purchase of three bottles or more. My family took advantage the case offer for $119. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards was not busy on July 4th and we all had a great time at the vineyards. It was a beautiful day with not a single cloud in the sky. Staff were very friendly and carried out the case to our car. The Boar's Head platter was a little small for 2 people to share, so it was great that we could bring outside food. Osprey's Dominion Vineyards is very spacious with plenty of tables so it is great for big groups.

There's also the adjacent vineyard, of course, if you're hoping to stroll among the grapes between glasses. The wines were good! The tasting menus did a nice job of providing variety among different styles, and there were definitely a few standouts among the pours. Lenz also differentiates between their older vintages and some of the more recent bottles -- you'll likely pay a premium for the former, while the latter tends to be a little cheaper. The space itself is a bit cramped overall -- while the courtyard setup is nice, the parking lot is small and there's only one bathroom for the entire grounds. Certainly a good option among the wineries on the North Fork, but consider going at less popular hours to avoid crowding.
