Had the mezcal Paloma and my wife had the bees knees which were both created to absolute perfection. The Littles looked over the menu and were kinda ‍ but our waiter must speak kiddo and said that they have chicken fingers and other kid meals that they would be happy to make. Score!! We got the fried calamari for the table to start. Crispy, fresh and beautifully tender. Kids devoured them and almost took one of our fingers off for the last one. My wife had the summer risotto and made a request for grilled chicken on top which they were happy to do. I had the Greek farro salad with grilled chicken, again, after a day of wine tasting it was the protein I needed and lightness I was looking for. Chicken as a topper on both dishes was abundant . Our servers were attentive without being intrusive or trying to rush us out. Host was friendly and accommodating, even checked up on us as she escorted other diners to their table. QPR was right on point. All dishes were fresh, seasoned to perfection, creative utilizing what's local and what's in season and generously portioned. This place stays on my radar and will be frequented again and again when we're in town next. This is a busy restaurant/diner. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they serve alcohol as well. We had breakfast here. The pancakes were good, I believe there were three and they are large. I especially like they serve real maple syrup. The steak and eggs were ok. The steak was marinated in some sort of teriyaki sauce I believe. Our party did not enjoy the steak. But we loved the home fries and the side of bacon was cooked perfectly. I would like to go back here and try their lunch and/or dinner. Great place for a bite ! I stopped in with some friends at LLK for a casual dinner while a street festival was going on outside. A good selection of delicious looking items on the menu. I went for the signature LLK burger ($19). Good presentation, generous portions and the fries were amazing! The burger was cooked exactly as requested it (medium rare). Though, I wish the burger had a little more pizzazz in taste and flavor. Other items that were ordered on the table included the turkey burgers, and risotto. My friend commented "that's the best risotto I've ever had" Service was friendly , attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of food or menu for you to view. I have been trying to come here for years now. Remember, I live in Mineola and LLK is an 1+ drive for me. We met our friend who live just a short walk away on Love Lane. There is a very very calming comfortanble-warm atmosphere here. Just was just a lovely place to sit and spend some time. Again, This was a perfect spot to meet, catchup and do a slide of pie. Our very nice server asked what we wanted and to just fill time before dinner, we went with a coffee and some sweets. We definitely sat for a while whle catching up. We never felt like we needed to order more or we were here too long. I like the vibe here which is why you hear so many people speaking about this place. My wife and I came here to get some food to go on our way to the Cross Sound Ferry at Orient Point. When I found out the kitchen was being cleaned for the dinner shift and they would need 20 mins before they could make my food, I told them I didn't know what to do since I have my dogs in the car. They said we can have them with us on the patio (which is covered from the rain)! So we sat down and split the delicious burger and fries while the doggies laid at my feet. We use to go there all the time, in the past we loved the place. They always had a great variety of food. Went there recently, we couldn't believe it., We went there for dinner,very limited menu. Hamburgers, one type of fish, which was halibut. They did have good appetizers, but were stingy with the portion size. They have become extremely expensive. Today my boyfriend and I drove through Mattituck and stumbled on Love Lane right off of the Main Street. Since it was lunch time - we were driving around trying to choose a place to eat and decided on Love Lane Kitchen, honestly very randomly. Right when you come in, you will notice that the place is filled with loads of corny but cute signs about love. There are couple of tables, a communal table in the middle and a bar you can sit at. The whole place had a very homely feeling to it. We were seated at the communal table since all the little tables were taken. We were serviced in a reasonable amount of time and were checked on often but not excessively. It is a small small space with lots of workers, so I imagine it wasn't hard to get someone's attention if you needed anything. Workers were pleasant and made small talk. The menu isn't very diverse in items, but definitely reasonably priced. We ended up spending less then $60 (before tip) for two meals and 3 drinks. I ordered the Goat Cheese Panini ($16) and my boyfriend decided to have Sliced Steak Sandwich ($22). My goodness my panini was delicious! It definitely qualifies as one of the best meals I had so far this year. The ingredients and bread chosen complimented each other very well. I definitely enjoyed it and would love to come back for seconds whenever I find myself in the area. As for my boyfriends steak sandwich - he gave it a 8/10. He told me the steak was cooked well and the sandwich tasted average. He is a hard man to please and an 8 is quite a high score from him. Food and ambiance were great. The front of the house was RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, AND PRESUMPTUOUS! We were sat in three separate tables as a group of 8. I would have paid each of the waitresses separately in order to provide them with a 20%+ tip however the front of the house decided the tip should be charged as a group. I addressed this with the front of the house and they said there was no way to charge it otherwise. I was very happy with our waitresses service and would have provided a more than adequate tip. To add, my father is an elderly individual who was told by the front of the house to sit in the back of the restaurant for the 15 minute wait when he asked for a place to sit. Super cute and busy restaurant on the main street of Mattituck! Came here with some family on a Saturday afternoon and were quoted a 20-30 minute wait for a table for 6. Unfortunately, we did have to be seated on the patio because there was no table large enough inside and it was pretty hot outside. I would really love if they could add some fans to the outdoor seating area for next year! I ordered the Pretty Bitter ($7) mocktail which was aptly named. If you are a grapefruit lover, this is the perfect choice for you. I also ordered the Baja Fish Tacos ($18) which were very dry and had the texture of cardboard. While the mango salsa was delicious, there was not enough moisture to save the seared fish. I also got to try the Chicken Avocado Mango Salad ($19) which had a very sweet mango dressing and some pale (possible poached?) chicken breast. I think I would have liked some color or some grill marks on it. My favorite entrée that I tried ended up being the Goat Cheese Panini ($16) which was absolutely phenomenal. It was packed with grilled seasonal vegetables like zucchini and squash with a healthy schmear of goat cheese. This is something I would definitely order again and again. Some comments from around the table included: - "This chicken is really dry" in regards to the Chicken Guacamole and Bacon Panini ($19) - "The steak is a little overcooked but I love the parm fries" in regards to the Steak Frites ($22) Overall, it's a decent place in town for some brunch but I thought the food was solidly average. The inside is super cute and makes you feel like you're walking into a different quaint era! Definitely recommend making reservations as they were completely full soon after we were seated. Great neighborhood spot on a very cute street in North Fork. While this is a solid breakfast option, I wouldn't necessarily say that it's worth a long wait unless you have some time to kill (we walked around and explored the other shops and cafes during our 45 minute wait for a table for 5) or have your heart set on a sit-down breakfast as there are some other options in the area for more of a grab-and-go type breakfast that also looked great. I had the crab cake benedict which was a daily special, and have to say I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with breakfast potatoes (I should have asked) since the table next to me had potatoes served with theirs, which they must have ordered on the side. The potatoes did look great, so I do recommend ordering some on the side. My friends gushed about the hash, but unfortunately I'm not a huge hash person.
