I have been trying to come here for years now. Remember, I live in Mineola and LLK is an 1+ drive for me. We met our friend who live just a short walk away on Love Lane. There is a very very calming comfortanble-warm atmosphere here. Just was just a lovely place to sit and spend some time. Again, This was a perfect spot to meet, catchup and do a slide of pie. Our very nice server asked what we wanted and to just fill time before dinner, we went with a coffee and some sweets. We definitely sat for a while whle catching up. We never felt like we needed to order more or we were here too long. I like the vibe here which is why you hear so many people speaking about this place. Ambiance (5/5): Their indoor section was bustling on the weekend. There are a couple countertop seats as well. There's a covered outdoor section where we sat since they were dog friendly! Service (5/5): The establishment was very busy with every table basically full by 10:30am. However, they were attentive throughout the whole dining experience. The staff were super warm and friendly. Hot drip coffee is self-serve! The specials for the day were written on a chalk board in the outdoor dining area. We opted to try their: Lemon Ricotta Pancake (5/5): So so so good! Today my boyfriend and I drove through Mattituck and stumbled on Love Lane right off of the Main Street. Since it was lunch time - we were driving around trying to choose a place to eat and decided on Love Lane Kitchen, honestly very randomly. Right when you come in, you will notice that the place is filled with loads of corny but cute signs about love. There are couple of tables, a communal table in the middle and a bar you can sit at. The whole place had a very homely feeling to it. We were seated at the communal table since all the little tables were taken. We were serviced in a reasonable amount of time and were checked on often but not excessively. It is a small small space with lots of workers, so I imagine it wasn't hard to get someone's attention if you needed anything. Workers were pleasant and made small talk. The menu isn't very diverse in items, but definitely reasonably priced. We ended up spending less then $60 (before tip) for two meals and 3 drinks. I ordered the Goat Cheese Panini ($16) and my boyfriend decided to have Sliced Steak Sandwich ($22). My goodness my panini was delicious! It definitely qualifies as one of the best meals I had so far this year. The ingredients and bread chosen complimented each other very well. I definitely enjoyed it and would love to come back for seconds whenever I find myself in the area. As for my boyfriends steak sandwich - he gave it a 8/10. He told me the steak was cooked well and the sandwich tasted average. He is a hard man to please and an 8 is quite a high score from him. Super cute and busy restaurant on the main street of Mattituck! Came here with some family on a Saturday afternoon and were quoted a 20-30 minute wait for a table for 6. Unfortunately, we did have to be seated on the patio because there was no table large enough inside and it was pretty hot outside. I would really love if they could add some fans to the outdoor seating area for next year! I ordered the Pretty Bitter ($7) mocktail which was aptly named. If you are a grapefruit lover, this is the perfect choice for you. I also ordered the Baja Fish Tacos ($18) which were very dry and had the texture of cardboard. While the mango salsa was delicious, there was not enough moisture to save the seared fish. I also got to try the Chicken Avocado Mango Salad ($19) which had a very sweet mango dressing and some pale (possible poached?) chicken breast. I think I would have liked some color or some grill marks on it. My favorite entrée that I tried ended up being the Goat Cheese Panini ($16) which was absolutely phenomenal. It was packed with grilled seasonal vegetables like zucchini and squash with a healthy schmear of goat cheese. This is something I would definitely order again and again. Some comments from around the table included: - "This chicken is really dry" in regards to the Chicken Guacamole and Bacon Panini ($19) - "The steak is a little overcooked but I love the parm fries" in regards to the Steak Frites ($22) Overall, it's a decent place in town for some brunch but I thought the food was solidly average. Cute local spot! We came here for a super early dinner on a Sunday evening after a day of apple picking at the Orchards nearby. The inside is super cute and makes you feel like you're walking into a different quaint era! Definitely recommend making reservations as they were completely full soon after we were seated. On Sundays, they have a pasta special that's a great deal for salad, bread, rolls, and delicious pasta! Highly recommend the mushroom pasta if they have it available, as that was definitely the stand out. Five starts, especially for service. It was such a nice day out yesterday that my husband and I wanted to take out food to-go rather than eat inside the restaurant. I've wanted to come here for quite some time. Being that it's a 40 minute drive I put it off. I was going to be in the area today so I decided to stop in for breakfast. It was only me, so I opted to sit at the counter and not take a table. I was given menus and advised where the coffee was as it is "serve yourself." Anytime we come back from Connecticut after taking the Ferry from New London to Orient Point we stop here. For over 8 years we have been coming to Love Lane Kitchen, the meals have always been delicious, never a bad breakfast, brunch or lunch option. One of my favorite places on Long Island with a very unique atmosphere! Today they had gingerbread pancakes, my picky child ate them up as if they were gonna walk off the plate! This has become our yearly stop after visiting the Christmas tree farms. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a try. Great neighborhood spot on a very cute street in North Fork. While this is a solid breakfast option, I wouldn't necessarily say that it's worth a long wait unless you have some time to kill (we walked around and explored the other shops and cafes during our 45 minute wait for a table for 5) or have your heart set on a sit-down breakfast as there are some other options in the area for more of a grab-and-go type breakfast that also looked great. I had the crab cake benedict which was a daily special, and have to say I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with breakfast potatoes (I should have asked) since the table next to me had potatoes served with theirs, which they must have ordered on the side. The potatoes did look great, so I do recommend ordering some on the side. My friends gushed about the hash, but unfortunately I'm not a huge hash person. We went for Father's Day this past Sunday. The experience was disappointing. Reasons being: 1. 3 out of the 7 orders were wrong. 2. The waiter forgot to put in one of the orders and that person had to wait en extra 40min for his meal. 3. He also forgot out drinks. 4.We tried getting a different staff members attention when he dropped off a plate but he complete ignored us and walked away. I understand it was a busy morning but the way he handled the situation was wrong. I will make sure everyone I know in town knows about my experience and how unpleasant it was. read more

I was recommended to come to this place, so finally I did. Came here with the boyfriend. The wait for a Sunday afternoon was about 15 minutes - pretty good for the crowd that was waiting. They did have outside seating - which we looked it was actually a tent like side of the building that was covered and had walls. We sat inside at a small table. This place is so crowded, you're sitting on top of each other. If I can stretch my arms out and touch the people beside me, we're too close - and I'm 5'3". Our waitress was NOT friendly. She had black hair and she was short, and didn't say her name, so she was probably smart to not do that or else I would have listed her name. Anyway, she couldnt refill any drinks, didn't smile, and when we gave her cash - normal waiters ask if we need change - she up and took it, and never came back to us. Seriously? You just assume like that? Anyway, this place only has one bathroom. So if there's a line - good luck to you. We had to wait a while, too. Next I wanna point out is the prices. I figured this place was probably expensive because the store beside it called "Mint" is EXTREMELY expensive. So my sandwich cost $18. I got 4 plantains, and a small sandwich - that was IT. It was called "The Cuban". The food came out quickly, shockingly, but the amount of food on my plate and looking at the cost - oh, no mam. This will be a once and done for me.
