Pedal Pub is THE BEST day drinking event you can do! I have done one so far and hope to continue to do more! You arrive at the stadium bar and can have a drink while you wait for your driver. You can bring on any beer or seltzer but no hard alcohol. They allow you to go to 2 bars and stop in. The staff is so fun and so kind, and the process is seamless! Honestly it was such a fun event to do with friends and i hope to do another soon! In terms of parking it is right in north loop so there is street parking, as well as a few ramps in the area! read more

This is a fun activity (especially when you can't reach the pedal and therefore can sit on the bench or one of the seats that don't have pedals! And just drink! Woohoo! Shorties United!) I would recommend the strongest guys (or gals) sit and pedal in the front as that's where most of the pedaling happens lol. You can tell when those individuals are drenched in sweat at every stop hahaha. The driver is someone with the company but you provide your own bartender. You cannot bring anything with glass (no wine or beer bottles). But we were still able to start off with mimosas because I found that Sofia by Coppola Blanc de Blancs (sparkling wine) minis that come on a can! Most of the group was sweaty and drunk by the time the ride was over. Lol We even passed a strip club on the way with the tag line "100s of Beautiful Girls and 3 Ugly Ones". :-D read more

We had the pedal pub experience while in Minneapolis for a friend's wedding, and it was totally worth the trip. I've found in the last few days, that it's nearly impossible to describe the experience, other than as a cross between a parade float, a tour bus, an exercise bike (with 15 of your friends) and a beach bar. It's BYOB (essentially cans of beer only, no glass), but there are plenty of opportunities for pub stops along the way. And not only that, but you get to be the star of the show, as all pedestrians you pass are amazed at the site, and going up Nicollet Mall, you get lots of cheers from patio-side diners. We started out in St. Anthony Main, and our route took us into downtown. Our guide, Ross "the boss" was friendly, took his job seriously but not too seriously, and enhanced the experience with some great pub recommendations. It was an awesome experience for we tourists, and i imagine it would be great for locals as well. It's not very cheap, but the price point is similar to a standard hop-on, hop-off tour bus, and if you fill the "pub", it winds up costing about $30 per person for two hours (including tip), which is somewhat made up by the savings of bringing your own 12-packs. read more

You really owe it to yourself to experience this at least once. I got to go along with some friends that purchased this and our driver Jenelle was really a personable and fun lady. We were on a mixed pub which I really enjoy mixing and meeting others. I like that we can crank the music up and people love heckling the peddlers. I think it would have been better had we actually scouted and asked to stop certain places but we were a flexible and easy going crowd so we just went with the flow. I got to experience two new places in the heart of downtown. I am not 5 ft 3 so I did the bartending and sat in the back seat as I did not want to struggle to reach the pedals. I wish there was not a rule about not having hard liquor on the thing because hard liquor is my jam. I was happy to have the stops for certain. I also would opt for having a little motor on the thing so you can hit up more bars. read more

I love the idea of this but my bum was sore the next day. We had the best driver EVER!! Ask for Steve. It's BYOB as others have said, its only beer or things in cans. However you can bring a keg if you're so inclined. The amount of stops depends on the amount of time you spend on each place and how fast you pedal! I couldn't wait to ride the PedalPub when I first saw them around town. For various reasons, I've partaken in it a few times over the past 3 years now, and have come to the conclusion that it's not really fun. My friends make it fun....but a bus would be a better option for the cost and time and effort involved. I love biking, and I love drinking....but this is pretty much a tourist trap to some degree. There are a lot of rules, you have to commit to the date and only they can decide if the weather warrants re-booking, the bars it stops at are ok ( but could be walked to almost just as quickly), and it's hard to drink and pedal at the same time. I have done many pedal pubs for bachelorettes and special events in other cities, and they are normally a GREAT time. Unfortunately, our experience with this company did not live up to our expectations. Having a fun, personable driver can really make or break the entire experience. But our driver Destiny was rude and negative to us from the moment we arrived at the location and completely ruined the experience. She seemed bothered to have to drive us and even spent most of the trip texting and driving-- a serious safety concern. Maybe Pedal Pub Twin Cities would be fun if we had gotten a different driver, but based on our experience with Destiny, I do NOT recommend it. read more

The Pedal Pub is such a goofy idea, you have to try it at least once. We joined one of the single mixers ($25/ticket) with a pair of friends on a perfectly warm Saturday night. There were three groups of strangers on our ride and we all started out sitting by those we already knew but by the end we had all made friends and were shifting seats between bar stops so that we could get to know everyone else. It made for a great experience. You really can't help but smile when you see the Pedal Pub cruising by you on the street and it's equally hard not to smile when you're on it. A word of warning though - they 5'3 height requirement to pedal is no joke. I'm 5'2 and pedaling was a challenge. Thankfully, there are five seats that have no pedals - seek those out if you're a shortie like me. The only complaint we had was that our pilot was a bit of a buzz kill. I get that he's in charge of keeping the peace but I think we were a pretty good rule-abiding group and that didn't stop him from sniping at us from time to time. We all wanted to have fun and include him in the mix and he was not having any of it. Boo to you, pilot man! read more

I've been on 3 pedal pubs now and, while I think they're a fun twist on going out with friends, I've started to shy away from them as a night out. Cons: It's quick - two hours. While that may seem like plenty of time, when you factor in biking to and stopping into bars (most of which are busy already), you're really cutting down on the time. PLUS you always feel a little rushed, like you should get back out to the pedal pub and hurry onto the next stop. The Northeast route doesn't start / stop at a bar. This means that you and your pedal pub peers are driving to a remote parking lot and then have to be sober enough to drive away from it after the pedal pub. You can't cab it away - cars get towed if they're in the parking lot overnight. Pros: It's a mobile drinking adventure. For those looking for a fun group activity, this is definitely it. It's a nice switch up to the normal bar outings and I can guarantee that you'll be laughing for most of the trip (watching your friends trying to pedal and drink at the same time is fairly hilarious - though I'm sure those watching me were treated to a similar show). It's pretty cheap - if you fit the allowed 16 on the pedal pub, it works out to be around $25 per person (and that's if you don't do a Groupon or Living Social, which they have all the time!) In Summary: This being my third time, the novelty is wearing off somewhat. I wouldn't discourage those who haven't done it but I would caution them against making a habit of it. There's a reason hanging in your favorite bar has been a staple of the human experience - it's simplicity and comfort are very hard to beat. read more

After two hours and trip to Downtown and back to St. Anthony Main, I was swasted. Our group took the time slot of 8-10pm. Pedal Pub altered their original Yelp response including eliminating a free ride, while placing even more "blame" on the customer. Mind boggling. Seems as if they tried to make it appear they addressed the issue, while then altering their response weeks after, hoping their customer would forget. It's unfortunate; however, going forward, I will certainly call into questioning their ethics. Sincerely encourage management to address. read more

I will encourage anyone considering a pedal pub tour to reconsider. I was very excited to go on my first tour, but now I regret it. Think first about the ramifications of 16 drunk, noisy patrons in a residential neighborhood. It is VERY inconsiderate to those who live in or commute through the area of your "tour". We were honked at. Many times. At first, I thought that they were just egging us on, and we all responded with an enthusiastic cheer. But it soon became apparent that these were not honks of approval, but frustration. Although the "pilot" made every attempt to make room to accommodate the drivers on the road, we still were an obstruction. I couldn't help but feel like I was contributing to a very unnecessary road block. My pedal pub experience was an enjoyable one at first, but now I feel great shame. read more

Sometimes words just can't describe! There is nothing finer than pedaling a giant Viennese rickshaw at full speed (5 mph) with 15 bellowing pub companions. Northeast Minneapolis is the best route by far - the bars and patrons cheer you on. It's like your own beer-laden Macy's Parade! We booked 2 pedal pubs for a group of young sales reps for our company and took the downtown Minneapolis route as a fun weekend activity to help people network and get to know the city. We had so much fun pedaling down Nicollet Mall and around First Avenue and made stops at Brits Pub and Cowboy Jacks. Although the weather was a bit chilly around 8PM the pedaling and the beverages helped keep us warm. Jim was an excellent driver and he made us feel safe the entire time - he also put up with our rowdy cheering over the two hour route. We will definitely be back next year! read more

The Pedal Pub is a pretty ridiculous good time. The rules cut into the fun a little. I understand no glass, but not allowing "hard" alcohol can be annoying for some. Our Driver, Ross was a very great addition to the whole experience. He was a straight forward guy that seemed to really enjoy his job. I would say my one complaint is that I think it's WAY too expensive. I understand the Pedal Pub may have to deal with things like a liquor license or something but $200 bones an hour + tip is a little steep in my thrifty opinion. Cool concept & had a great time with my friends however our driver, Steve, was rude, disrespectful & a complete jerk. We were having a great time singing having fun(the is the pedal PUB, right?) he Slammed on the brakes & yelled at me to sit down. (i was not even standing- he was just in a horrible mood) Most dangerous part of the trip. We all had to grab on to not fall off!! I have never been spoken to that way. It was humiliating & completely unnecessary. I'm from the South and this was our first Minneapolis trip. Steve was a terrible representation of your city & company. I would have given 5 stars purely for the novelty and fun factor. But the driver who was assigned to our June 2 bachelorette party in St. Paul was a complete disappointment. While I saw another PedalPub in NE Minneapolis whooping it up and cheering raucously as they made a fast-rolling left turn, the St Paul ride had to obey a don't-be-loud rule, according to our driver named Mike. After 2 hours of bar-hopping and beer drinking-while-pedaling, our group got festive when we tried to sing "Going to the Chapel of Love" in honor of the bride. Driver Mike was not pleased with this. He braked suddenly, causing all of us to jerk in our seats, nearly sending the bride onto the road. "I told you to be quiet!" he yelled at us. We were shocked at his unprofessionalism, disregard of safety and lack of tact. Fortunately, we were 3 minutes away from our final destination. Unfortunately, we didn't leave him a tip and won't be seeking him as a driver again. read more

Took the tour on Friday and our driver, Robert, nearly ruined the evening for our group. He was rude, conflictual, and even refused to call people by the name the wanted to be called and used their formal name from our drivers license just to be obnoxious. He called people out in front of the group by their given names and tried to use humiliation to get our attention, which ironically we wanted to give him. We were responding to his rude, controlling behavior. He made the reading of the rules such a power trip one of group actually said "I really don't like conflict, can you please stop doing what you are doing?" Which he did not do. As the group began pushing back on his behavior he doubled down on making us wait until everyone did what he said before we could go. Our group was very pleasant, fun and cooperative right from the start and he was standoffish and cold to the point that I felt the need to express sympathy to our host, whose birthday party it was, for such a bad vibe at his celebration. The pedal pub itself was really fun and we tried to ignore the driver, but I'm not sure I would risk taking one again. read more

Exercising and drinking together? Yes please! We went on an office pedal pub in Nordeast, and had a blast, despite the fact that it was unseasonably humid and raining. We blared some Madonna tunes (thanks, Pandora!) and pedaled the night away. Contrary to what I originally thought, there is NO engine on this thing - it's powered by the drinkers. It is a little pricey, but as a one-time thing it's definitely worth it. Bonus: you worked off all those booze calories before you even got to the bar. read more

The Pedal Pub operates in my neighborhood. When I am trying to sleep on a weeknight, they blast bad music so loud I can hear it with my windows closed. As a pedestrian in the neighborhood, I've seen the Pedal Pub showing difficulty stopping and turning, and yet they go so slow that I can't imagine the drivers sitting behind them could possibly be pleased. I know that if I was in the passenger seat of a car with an open bottle of beer, I'd get arrested. I'm not sure why people who are actually OPERATING THE VEHICLE can legally be imbibing while doing so. I have written to my city councilman to illegalize the Pedal Pub, but so far no response. I suspect he is a part owner. read more

No one was retaliating against any rules; obviously there was a misunderstanding, but the fact that Robert was so rude and unprofessional is embarrassing and tarnishing your company's image. I don't think Robert arguing with a group of guests for over 15 min after the pub is what I would call acting in a 'cooperative manner.'
