The bar area was nice, but skip the backroom "Cabaret" - I found it to be pretty awful and over priced.

There are no more 3 for $6. Other bars have cheaper prices and food options for happy hour.

Ask the Community - Camp Bar

Is Camp Bar accessible to mobility scooters?

Yes! It's right off the street and the car area is quite open, with walking paths on all 4 sides. Also the back room with the theater/stage is on the same level so you should have no problem with your scooter.

The only bright spot of the evening was our server at Stix, who was friendly, attentive, and did a good job. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The chicken was overcooked and unseasoned, and the meal was not worth the price. The comedy show was far worse. Tim Slagle's act included offensive jokes about women, LGBTQ+ people, and Somalis that were misogynistic, racist, and homophobic. Instead of being entertaining, the performance was mean-spirited and uncomfortable. We got up and left before the show ended, and we weren't alone. Hearing from staff on the way out that this is how he performs every time was especially concerning. Since Acme continues to book him, it's fair to assume they are comfortable associating their brand with that type of material. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last.

I've now seen a couple of different comedy shows at the Acme Comedy Club. I like how intimate the…read morevenue is, but some of the seats/rows are very close together. The lighting and sound has always been decent as well (not too loud or too bright). You don't get to pick your seat. It gets assigned after you pick up your ticket and check in. They will take in your preference on how close you want to be to the stage (remember those in the front couple row may be picked on lol). I haven't eaten at Acme before, but I've always gotten a drink. Servers walk around during the show, so there is no need to get up and go to the bar. Which is good, because you can't get served at the bar window inside of the venue. They have brought in some comedians I've heard of before and seek out to attend and others I've never heard of before, but went to anyways and I've enjoyed both equally.

Seems a missed opportunity for revenue. I know we would have imbibed beyond the first round we bought ourselves on the way in. Then there was the show, "Hypocralypse Now", which was amusing in spots but never exceeded expectations. Good, not great. I would compare the place to Second City in Chicago, in terms of ambiance and atmosphere, and Second City doesn't always hit a home run either. This was fun, and we loved all the taunts of the current vile administration, but perhaps MAGA is too easy a target.

Oh, it felt good to laugh ... and laugh ... and laugh some more. The theater is on Hennepin Avenue, a black room with seats and tables surrounding the stage. There is an elevator, a large staircase bathrooms for men and women, and a small bar before you enter the theater. A lovely space for a show and relatively easy to navigate for food, parking, etc., even with a stroller (this is NOT a kids' show) or a person using a walker or wheelchair.

The deal did not work out as I thought so this is a review from last November. ‐------------- It was a rough night we purchased tickets for the event in saint paul at the double tree and we decided into turning it into an evening. We booked a room at the double tree hotel where the event was and upon arrival we were told they were overbooked and had no rooms available. There will be another bad review coming soon for that catastrophe. But sat Nov 5th we had 2 tickets for one of thier events and after the hotel catastrophe we were like its all good we will enjoy the show then get another non hilton hotel. We wait in line with our tickets in hand that we purchased on eventbrite and we go to check in they could not find record of us. Talk about bad luck we showed them the tickets and after 10 minutes of interrogation like we were thieves trying to sneak into their show they told us they can setup a small table basically isolating us like the black sheep of the event. We were then told there was no food available because it was all pre ordered but we can watch the shoe and basically watch others eat from a far like if we were in the Christmas Caroll movie. After a while they were like we can get you guys a chicken meal. They must of called the chefs to see what scraps were available to throw something together for us. We requested a manager and well none were magically available. We asked for a refund and well because it's via eventbrite we need to request it from there. Well on eventbrite because it specifies there are no refunds now we have to fill out some sort of form and hope that the message was relayed from management to eventbrite to refund us. It was a very uneventful evening and this will cause lots of back and forth and phone calls to resolve this issue even though we were told it be simple. I doubt that this was even brought up to management and we were told anything just to get us to leave. Lesson learned ..stay away from shady hokey establishments that sell snake oil.

The GM came out to address us not abiding to the 2 item limit - very unprofessional (PARKER - wrote his name so sloppy was probably drunk as well) very rude and condescending, he made several excuses for his under the influence employee ignoring us.. but stood on having to buy 2 items or leave. Mind you the kitchen was closed at this point. We are almost an hour into the show. I told him i'm not buying anything after being ignored for an hr and also asked if he wanted us to chug 2 drinks w/ less than an hr left of the show and having to drive home. He suggested we buy 2 bottles of water - each. ABSOLUTELY NOT SPENDING A DIME.. or penny here. After some back and forth about it he said he can offer comp tickets to any other show - WHY THE F would we come back again?! Definitely putting the wrong people in management. The point was we were ignored over an hour, there's nothing you can do for me at that point. I'd never sit at a restaurant over an hr with no service and still spend my money there. It did escalate to security coming to kick us out. Thats where the employees showed their true colors. Just trashed. Yelling despite a show going on. Going back and forth OVER the GM. Just disgusting behavior from GM to drunk servers to drunk host. Hard pass on any show being hosted here.

I'm new to discovering The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Regional Park, but believe me when I say I'll be back many more time. In the winter, they offer cross-country skiing and lessons. They also have à la carte options for cheaper if you only need poles or boots, etc.) Besides skiing, outdoor winter activities also include snow tubing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.... You name it. Inside The Trailhead, there's food and drink concessions, ample seating, lockers, bathrooms, and even rooms for rent.
