Owners are very friendly, kind and really want you to enjoy your day. My experience did not feel like a transaction. There were other customers waiting in line but the owner did not rush us, he carefully explained how to use the ebike to each of my 4 family members and even showed us maps on where to go. There was a slight problem with my ebike, kept shutting off toward the end of my ride, but these things will happen as they are rentals. There are multiple e-bike rental locations in Pismo Beach, but they are the only one that had a two-seater e-trike available. This allowed us to take my 78 year old mother along on a long family bike ride up to spyglass drive, the dinosaur park, palisades park, and through the Bob Jones trail to Avila Beach. Their prices were comparable to, but slightly lower than the other locations we checked out online. The trike was a clean and well-maintained, with a large cargo area that we used to pack a picnic lunch to eat at Avila Beach. It was easy to ride, and the pedal assist that was able to tackle the hills on the route with no issues. The battery was solid, and was still on full charge at the end of the round trip. It was a ton of fun, and there is no way we would have been been able to do it if this option were not available. And the customer service was excellent. Although they are a small local business, not a big box store, they supported rentals with reservation even on Christmas Day. The owner helped "unstick" the quick release on one of the cruisers we had borrowed from our vacation rental, and told us the route to get to Avila Beach. Since we were the only reservation for the day, he also encouraged us to contact him if we had any issues!! We didn't end up needing any support, but it was great peace of mind to know that we had support if we needed it. I hope they keep the rentals-by-reservation option available on future holidays as well - it's a great way to burn off calories before or after holiday feasts :) read more

He was very informative and helpful in selecting the e-bikes that would best suit our family adventure. We rented the Happyrun bike for me and the Addmotor trike for my wife and daughter and Mike encouraged using the cargo basket to take the pup with us as well (she was, however, a coward and wanted no part of the adventure). He allows you to take the bikes on the sand and has an informative video on how to access the portion of the beach where you can ride. Was on my way to another bike rental spot recommended by Yelp, when I came across this place. I went in and the owners were there, super friendly and helpful. I had a shopping bag with me and was hoping for a bike with a basket, but they were all rented out so they offered to store the item. The bike I rented was in great condition and the rental fee was great in my opinion -- $10/hour or $35/half day. I rented for two hours and had a blast. When I brought the bike back they were super sweet and provided dining recommendations. Can't compare this to any other rental places but these new owners (4 months or so) are super sweet, super helpful, and I think you should check them out! read more

I have to admit I was scared to ride a bike in the street with lots of cars trying to find parking. The store owners convinced me that drivers respect bicyclists here and I should be fine. Also if you're over 18 a helmet is not required. Whaaat? In LA you're given a ticket if you don't wear one. Anyway, I rented the silver bike, I don't remember what it's called but it was surprisingly easy to lift onto the Pismo dock. The seatis low enough so my legs can touch the ground and the seat felt wide to hold my butt comfortably. As I kicked off I felt a sea breeze through my air and memories of my childhood came rushing back. I forgot how fun it is to ride a bike and would absolutely do it again! read more
