After trying a few model e-bikes,we were introduced to the JOY model. It is lower to the ground, although it can accommodate up to a 6ft tall person. It is also carbon fiber, so it is lightweight in comparison to other e-bikes. We purchased side mirrors and a more comfortable seat. The sales team at this store is not pushy, but friendly and totally informative. We enjoyed this bike for two weeks and we went back and bought a second one!! The store offers several styles of electric bicycles at mid-range to high prices for pro and novice riders. Deep discounted pricing on consignment (gently used) bicycles which gave an option to purchase a high-end bike at decent price. My favorite bicycle was a three wheel behemoth with a front and rear carry boxes reasonably priced at $1,900. The owner, Kyle, made our non-pressure shopping experience simple with all my answers provided in laymen terms, which I appreciated. As a person that has never used an electric bicycle, the store provides a trial option to experience an electric bike for three hours at $50.00, which is a great tool to make a big somewhat pricey decision. I Brought them in my Electric Co. Bike for intermittent throttle failure. All three guys there were great. The intake was quick. Troubleshooting an intermittent issue is difficult and they did it in a timely manner. The bike was repaired properly and in a reasonably amount of time. I highly recommend them. I really Wish I had come to their shop to buy my bike. They have a great selection and it's best to test ride and see how a bike fits. Plus they are great at repair! Excellent shop and crew! Rented e bikes for my mother in laws birthday. Super friendly, very easy check in. User directions were explained in a very simple, understandable way. My mother in laws bike tire popped after 5 minutes of cruising. I arrived in Florida a few weeks ago with my 2 year old Pedego bike (2018). I called around to places to see if anyone could package my bike up to send to Tulum Mexico (where I'm moving too). No one could help me. I didn't realize there were actual Pedego stores. So when I called and talked to Kyle, he told me he had a shipment of bikes coming in and would have a box he could pack my city commuter in. I had no way to get my bike to him, he offered a very reasonable fee to come pick up my bike AND package it for it's safe trip to Mexico. If I get a bike for my mom in Mexico, I would literally come back here to purchase a bike. Kyle and his father who I have also talked to are extremely kind, generous, and the type of people anyone would want to do business with. I trust them implicitly. I HATE bike riding! I rode bikes as a form of transportation in my younger years and never enjoyed it. I then got a knee injury and many friends said the best way to help it would be to ride a bike. Finally I tried electric bikes, watched review videos and the research was quite extensive. I'm 55 so I didn't want a mountain bike style and wanted to sit up on an ice fat comfy seat. Mind you, I get exercise while riding the bike, I just don't get that, ugh I'm going against the wind struggle with an Ebike. Needless to say, I LOVE riding like I've never loved it before. I am so so happy with my bike and I would highly recommend an EBike. Things to consider when purchasing an Ebike. You cannot put it on a regular bike rack. It has to be a heavy duty rack acceptable for ebikes. I had considered one that folds. Do that if you have a small car and don't want to buy a very expensive bike rack, I mean expensive. I also bought a GPS tracker alarm through Boomerang to help protect it. Also another tidbit I learned was to have at least 2 bike locks with a minimum of 15mm thick. This will discourage thieves. Bolt cutters get very very large when having to cut that thickness and also two locks will discourage someone because it will take too long to deal with stealing it. Whatever you do! Kyle, one of the owners, was quick to relieve us of any anxiety of getting on something with an engine. Went to the Pedego Boca store after looking at eBikes online. Nice clean store with very friendly staff. Got information and a test ride and within a few days we had purchased two bikes and have been riding regularly since. Great bikes with good exercise. The amount of exercise with each ride is decided by us both with the length if the ride and the amount of peddle assist we choose. Today got a piece of glass in the tire and took the bike toe the store and they were quick to meet us at the curb and take the bike inside and replace the damaged tire and tube. Had the bike back an hour later. The service was friendly and top notch. Their Saturday group rides are a lot of fun and open to all either renting or owning a Pedego bike. What a pleasant experience. Friendly, socially conscious staff that took great care to explain the nuances of the simple "electric bikes". As a family we bike frequently but this was my "teenage" families first experience with E-bikes. We logged 25 miles on a windy day and had a great time. As a group, we ran the gamut of battery usage; I never turned mine on and I don't think my daughter pedaled once LOL. They supplied us with helmets, bottles of water and bike locks. A short tutorial, a few iPad signed waivers and we were on our way. If you are a bike enthusiast and are with those who'd rather use a car, considered renting E-bikes!
