Obviously it was a relatively minor infarction ($10-$15), but I'm a 21 yo woman, already fairly apprehensive of going to a repair shop on my own. I was let down. Not sure what bike repair etiquette is, but performing a service without asking the customer and then charging them for it seems pretty inappropriate to me, no matter the SOP. He also never hesitates when it comes down to pricing and breaks it down for you so you know he's super honest and trying to provide you with the best service possible. He also sent us texts when our bikes were done, threw in adjusting my brakes, and updated us on any information over bike adjustments. He also verified before moving ahead with anything else and never did something we didn't want/ charged us something other than what we agreed on. The bad? I asked if they sold dropper posts. The staff said, "I could order you one but it's $300". I asked what brand it was and he said, "Transx". Bloody rude and a total rip off. I'd take a RS reverb for $300. Lol. Or a Fox transfer. But really? Quoting me $300 even before asking what size, routing, travel, etc I needed? Bottom line: go only if you are in a desperate need to pick something off the shelf and don't even bother talking to the staff.

I am happy to say however they still easily get five-star status from me. Though a smallish shop, the people are absolutely aces. First off, Dawson is awesome. He's the young mechanic and has worked on my bike twice and done a stunningly good job--and fast!--both times. Indeed, everyone here is awesome: when I damaged my Stumpjumper on a jump, they offered me several options for its repair, one being upgrading a part but they never tried to press me on that (it's what I chose anyways) and they were very matter-of-fact about every way it could be remedied. I never, ever, have felt like they're trying to upsale me anything here which is a big deal with bike shops. I have two good but not top-of-the-range mountain bikes: many stores may look at that type of person as a customer they'd try to get to trade or buy a new, even higher-end, bike because they see he's serious but doesn't have the very best. Not here. They are just decent, forthright, and honest in trying to get me what I want and get it done quickly as possible. If I do decide to upgrade to something like an S-Works bike, this would be where I'd come because they'd done right by me thus far and their skills in fixing things are also superb.

They still have all of it and more.. Everything I have grown to expect from them. From quick fixes to tune ups, they do it rite and quickly... A great assortment of parts, clothes and bikes... And still the best beer selection in Ocala... Want to ride Santos Trails but don't have a bike??? No problem.. Rent a quality bike here.. Camping at Santos park???
