I've been taking my children to Woodfield Pediatrics for their entire lives (13 and 8), and would recommend this practice to anyone.

Now once the nurse was done, we rarely ever had to wait more than a minute or two for Dr Minciotti to come in.

We had our first visit this week after leaving another god-awful practice. Our appointment was with…read moreSteven Schraiber who had a great personality and good bedside manner. There is nothing worse than being a first time mom and asking a few thought out questions only to be made to feel like in idiot. He did not do that at all! He took his time and answered each one thoughtfully. The nurse who took the vitals and introductory information was great as well. Super sweet woman. Random thing to like... but I love that they give you a piece of paper with all your kids info on it and notes from the doctor at the end to take home. My only feedback would be that the receptionists seem like overwhelmed or tired or something. Upon entry and exit both of the ladies that handled me were grumpy and seemed cold. I'm sure it's hard when you deal with so many people so whatever. I can deal with that though for a great doctor, good nurses, a patient portal, clean office and a separate sick waiting room. *I'm still going here two years later and we still see Schraiber for both of my boys. He's my favorite and the front staff still has bad manners. I try to cut people a break, but it's like they all hate their job. I was just in the other week for my second son's monthly check up. I was walking him around a full waiting room with no seats and the receptionist yells very loudly "Lady lady lady who can't sit down and has bad handwriting what's your baby's name?!? I can't read your chicken scratch and I'm too busy to figure it out!!" So I just very meekly say "it's pretty hard to write with a baby on your hip." Two minutes later a new mom and her baby come out and this same receptionist just steam rolls her. I don't get it. How do the doctors keep people like this who are their director of first impressions?!

Because of that, we were especially disappointed by the way we were treated. We recently received a call informing us that our insurance was no longer accepted, even though we are in the middle of the year. To better understand the situation, we did a three-way call with BlueCross Blue Shield and a representative from Sander's. Unfortunately, the Sander's representative, Jennifer, was extremely rude throughout the conversation - not only to us, but also to the BlueCross representative. She repeatedly interrupted us while we were trying to ask questions and, numerous times during the call, announced that she was "leaving the call" even though we were still trying to understand what was happening and had unanswered questions. It felt like she was more interested in ending the conversation than helping us. To make matters even more unprofessional, she answered another phone call while she was still on the line with us. We could hear her entire conversation, making it obvious that she was no longer listening to us or focused on resolving our concerns. We were honestly shocked by how dismissive and unprofessional the entire interaction was. We completely understand that insurance contracts and coverage can change. What is not acceptable is treating patients with disrespect when they are simply trying to understand their options for their children. Families deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, and unfortunately that was completely lacking in our experience. Based on this experience, we would absolutely not recommend Sander's Court Pediatrics to any family looking for a pediatric practice that values its patients.

It's the only pediatricians office I've ever taken my kids to. I absolutely love the staff, they greet you at the door they help you carry things to your car if you don't have enough hands. And I think the doctors at this office are more than understanding and they go above and beyond to take care of their patients kids. I see Dr. Michael O'Donnell and he is absolutely fabulous. He takes the time with each patient to make them feel special and takes their needs into consideration. One of my sons's a little bit below the spectrum, Dr. O'Donnell well demonstrate things to his stuffed animal before he does them to him. Extremely sweet and caring, I wouldn't want to take my kids anywhere else. I read all the nasty reviews of this place but like I said I'm pretty positive this place did a complete 180. Please don't let the negative reviews turn you away. We live all the way in Woodstock we drive to Schaumburg whenever we need to go to the doctors office. And for the negative reviews saying that sometimes they have to sit on hold when they call that happens everywhere. But I've never had to sit on hold for longer than 10 minutes and that's only when they are extremely packed usually around vaccination time.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this pediatric clinic…read more At my newborn's first appointment, just two days after being discharged from the hospital, Dr. Michael O'Donnell examined my baby. My baby had been delivered with vacuum assistance after a difficult labor lasting more than two hours, which resulted in a small scalp abrasion and some temporary head molding. Every doctor and nurse at the hospital had reassured us that the injury was healing normally and that everything looked fine. However, Dr. O'Donnell told us that our baby needed to go to the emergency room immediately and suggested the situation could be very serious. As new parents, this caused enormous stress and panic. We dropped everything, rushed to the ER, and after a full evaluation, we were told that there was nothing seriously wrong with our baby. The entire ordeal felt unnecessary and created significant anxiety during an already difficult postpartum period. What was even more frustrating was the behavior of the front desk staff. When we brought our newborn in for an early pediatric visit, the staff refused to allow the appointment because our baby did not yet have insurance (she did not have Social Security Number as she was not even a month old baby at that time). Any parent of a newborn knows that obtaining a Social Security Number takes time. Despite this, the staff insisted that our baby could not be seen. Only after escalating the situation did a doctor step in and confirm that the appointment could proceed normally. This experience made me feel that the staff either lacked proper training or did not understand standard newborn insurance procedures. The doctors may be knowledgeable, but the unnecessary emergency referral and the extremely poor handling by the front desk left me with little confidence in this clinic. New parents deserve accurate guidance, professionalism, and compassion! NOT confusion, stress, and obstacles to receiving care.
