We have been going here for over 5 years. We interviewed Dr. Tabel when we were expecting our first. We now have two kids and have moved further North, but are happy to make the commute because we know and trust all the Doctors. My sister brings her kids and stepson to this practice too (her stepson's mom lives pretty far away and happily makes the commute). This team is great. The Doctors always seem to remember our girls. They are super helpful. In the hospital Dr. Robertson heard a murmer on my oldest that even impressed the cardiologist from Lurie's. Our second had RSV when she was a week old, and Dr. Minciotti came by our hospital room everyday for moral support. They have upgraded their offices, so alot of the older reviews are out of date. They have an online portal these days that is really easy to access. And they are now part of Pedia Trust so there are after hour clinics you can go to, where they can access your childs records. I actually prefer the smaller rooms, as it is easier to make sure the little one's are not running around like crazy. I am also shocked that they do not have 5 stars. We judge our Doctors and their teams by the level of care they give. This team definitely deserves a five! read more

Horrible billing practices. A visit for an ear infection at an immediate care center =$100, at Pediatrust =$150. Same exact service but you charge 50% more than your competitors. I was also charged more for a visit that took less time and testing than the one a week prior. It seems they charge whatever they feel like at the time and not based on actual provided services. They charged my card BEFORE I received the bill and refuse to delete my billing information. Emphasis is placed on making as much $$ as possible and not providing care. You just lost 2 patients over $50. read more

Dr. Minciotti of Woodfield Peds was a great doctor, mellow and calm. My daughter hates the doctor (not her fault) and Dr. Minciotti took great care of her. She's also a mother and a local columnist for the Daily Herald, great credentials...:) The problem is, she's gotten very difficult to get appointments with, you have to call way in advance and if she's not available (which is often, these days), you get one of the others at this practice. With the exception of 1 (Dr. Meservey), the rest of the doctors are mediocre and condescending. One female doctor told me I was being "silly" for bringing my daughter in with a 101 temperature and respiratory issues; my momma instinct knew something was wrong, sure enough, the next morning, this same little girl was diagnosed with pnemonia, something the ER told me could have been treated the day before. Thanks for nothing, lady! Basically, the office staff is sub-par, they aren't very friendly and only two of the doctors are worth getting an appointment with. (I have no beef with the nurses, they all came across as efficient and kind) Have to agree with the other posters that mention the offices needing an upgrade. You feel like you are a puppy in a mill when you are there. Requesting records is a pain, they charge per page, so they get ya coming AND going. We've moved on to another peditrician, whose office, so far has been polite and helpful. Might be worth the time to look for a different pediatrician if you are on the market for one. read more

We selected Woodfield Pediatrics, in the beginning, b/c the location was convenient. We are very happy w/ the doctors in this practice. They give us great advice and we trust them. We're new parents, and I'm sure, not the easiest to deal with. They have also been flexible in times of emergencies and the on-call doctor usually returns our phone call within 15 minutes, which is great. The office is off of Meacham across Costco and a little further down. The one criticism is that the office does need an update. Regardless, I recommend this practice to all my close friends and relatives. Great doctors. read more

Parents BEWARE! I was recoomended to this place by an unnamed source...and I thought, hey all the parents were bringing their kids here so why not right?! Not only was the directions there confusing, but when I had called at a receptionist tried to help me, she was confusing herself! I finally made it and I was alreday 10 minutes late for the appointment. I was then guided to a room with my little girl and waited. It was more like a janitors closet type size and I felt congested just sitting and waiting. When the nurse comes in to do her preliminaries, she tells me that my daughter needs to strip down because the doctor has to do some tests. A couple minutes later, the doctor came in and I wasn't as "impressed". He asked me questions, I answered, and then here came the routine check up. Normally, a docto would ask me to have my child sit/lay on the bed there in order for them to test their breathing and other things. This doctor had her strip down to her undies and had he sit on my lap, then tested her. Then he had her lay on my lap, so her head is towards my belly and her legs wer on his legs. Tell me this is already weird! Then he tells me she's all fine and gives me his business card. Then, he tells me that if I liked his service, I could call in and request him, otherwise there were other doctors there as well. Want to know what I was thinking??? NO THANK YOU! P.S. Dr. Robertson is wonderful. I can not recommend her enough. She is very thorough with her exams and entertains any questions you may have. The nurses are wonderful as well. With as many appointments as there are in the first year for little ones, we love coming! They make everything easy for you as a patient and parent. Highly recommend! read more

I had a very bad experience start from my first call at this place first they don't have an email address as per their reception where any medical records can be forwarded next its real difficult to find this place even with gps as it's more or less shady place ... I reached 15 min late and they didn't allowed us to see and meet doctor as it's damn difficult to locate the place they were so bad and rude I mean children docs and nurse with such a bad flavor :( REALLY BAD guys try to improve .... Be courteous people are asking for your expertise for their dearest ones understand it well... read more

I am writing this hoping that Woodfield Pediatrics will listen. I have 3 kids and have been our kids dr.s for 15 years. My kids have been healthy. I don't have much experience for emergencies but as little kids we waited in their small rooms for very lengthy periods of time where my kids would spin the chair, wash their hands, check out the otoscope, get up and down the exam table- trashing the paper, want to eat, drink and generally go nuts. Then the doctor would walk in and we looked a mess and i was frustrated and exhausted. Often condescending looks passed.My kids are older and this is better but waiting with little kids or ANYONE should be a priority. The front office does a terrible job of giving you any kind of warm feeling. After 15 years they never greet me by name, say hi, say how are you. Generally, it feels like a public aid situation. I hate this and left for a year and paid the fee for copying my records. I came back for Dr. Minciotti and only see her now. As consumers we have many choices and I think they fail at making this a nice experience. The front desk will do what the bosses want and convey as important. I believe this is a failing of the top down. read more

We've been going to Woodfield Pediatrics for 7 years, have worked with all the Doctors at one point or another and have found them all to be caring and involved. My son has Autism, and every doctor has been very gentle about his needs and willing to assist us in finding appropriate care from specialists. As for his "regular" health needs, we've always been able to get appointments in a timely manner, have been able to reach doctors "on call" in the dead of night, and have been able to come in immediately for urgent needs whenever necessary - in short, they've never failed us. Woodfield Pediatrics has a good mix of older, very experienced Doctors and highly professional younger doctors, and are very good about getting patients in on short notice. If you live anywhere near Woodfield Mall, I highly recommend them for the care of your child. read more

I have no idea how this place got so little of stars. Moving from Omaha to Schaumburg with my daughter was a blessing in disguise because we found this place and such an amazing doctor. First off, yes their office is a little outdated, but as long as my daughter is getting great care, that is all that matters. It is kept cleaned and my daughter loved the books and little table that were offered. Staff was always very friendly and quick to greet us. Once we checked in, we never had to wait longer than 5 mins to have a nurse take us back. They do have your child get undressed to take all of her measurements so make sure to bring a blanket because they ask that they remain undress for the doctor. I think it's perfectly fine that way there is nothing to hide on children. If there are any kind of significant bruises on any child, I would want that Dr to be able to see and question it. Now once the nurse was done, we rarely ever had to wait more than a minute or two for Dr Minciotti to come in. She is very quick and prompt. Always had a smile and very comforting. Any questions or concerns that I have ever had, she made sure to thoroughly go over them with me. And always gave me great referrals for anything that she could not help me with. (example: my daughter had a clogged tear duct and needed surgery or when she wasn't caught up on talking like the rest of kids her age.) During the checkups, she was very thorough and went over everything on my child's body which I appreciate. My last pediatrician didn't check for anything. Like another reviewer said, they do have your child lay half on your lap and half on theirs while they do some of the joint/leg test while they are naked with a diaper. I find it completely normal and think that it's more of a comfort thing instead of having a child lay on a table, they get to be on their parent's lap. Which I know my child appreciated. Dr. Minciotti never made me feel like a bad parent or that I was ever doing anything wrong. My child is skinny for her age and doesn't like to eat much. She never blamed me, she just reassured me that what I was doing was the best situation for my child and gave me a few pointers. Point blank Dr. Minciotti is the absolute best. I never had any issues being able to get an appointment with her. She felt just like family, meaning that I was very comfortable asking her anything and being around her. We recently had to move to Denver and she is by far the thing I miss most about living in Schaumburg. Make sure to give this place a chance and see for yourself what an amazing doctor, like Dr Minciotti can do for your child. read more

Our son has been a patient of Woodfield Pediatrics since he was born 16 years ago and we've been impressed with every one of the doctors there. Doctor Boduch, Meservey, Minciotti, McLaughlin, Robertson and Goynshor have each treated our son with great care and wisdom. They've been helpful through the years, taking the time at our appointments to answer all our questions, and alleviate our concerns. We can wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent care from a Pediatric practice! read more

I've been taking my children to Woodfield Pediatrics for their entire lives (13 and 8), and would recommend this practice to anyone.

They really do nothing. If it's anything other than shots it's not worth your time because if something actually needs to be done they just send you elsewhere if their own incompetence doesn't get in the way first! I'm not a medical professional but I shouldn't consintely spot flaws in their lack of information. One "professional" told me you need to be knocked out to be concussed and cleared me to play in a football game that week even though every other symptom was present. We've been going to this practice for about a year now, and I'm not impressed at all. The wait times are ridiculous. My 3 three children and I are always shoved into a tiny room because the one doctor we always seem to get "has a aversion to the large room". The receptionists are rude, and it takes forever to get a copy of a record. The 2 front doors are awful to get through with a baby carrier or stroller. Last winter during "sick season", without even asking who we were or about the situation, the receptionist told us to just call a quick care center, since they were too busy! As an RN, I have some medical background, and I agree with a lot of what is said, but some of the doctors seem to force their opinions, regardless of whether or not they may be outdated these days... Overall it's not been a great experience, so instead of dreading it, we'll just be going somewhere else. read more

great practice. during emergencies, they get back to you really quick. for small things, you call them and they consult with the doc, and the nurse calls back. we love all the docs there, and have a good rapport with a couple of them. They don't give medicines unnecessarily, and dont order unnecessary tests.' recommended. read more

Can't speak to Mai T's experience but that sounds make believe. The doctors here have never been anything but professional to my wife, daughter, and I. Been there 12-15 times and never had a problem, male or female doctor. Small rooms, yes, looks like they are updating them a bit. What do you expect, a suite. It's a doctors office. I am a registered nurse. I chose Woodfield Pediatrics after speaking with several coworkers who worked on the peds floor. I have used this group of pediatricians for 15 years for the care of my 6 children. They have provided great care to my my kids over the years. Especially appreciated was the fact that there were always at least 2 physicians working at a time, and they would give me a second opinion right on the spot. Also, because there are both male and female physicians in the group, my teenagers were able to have a preference when they felt more comfortable with a doctor of the same sex. Dr. Minciotti is well known at the hospital for having caught subtle heart abnormalities among children of coworkers. Now my granddaughter is one of their patients. read more
