Doctor Laskas got my 7 month baby sicker than he originally was by putting her unwashed finger without gloves into my baby's mouth twice in two weeks causing my baby to be sick over a whole month with diarrhea and flu. I am beyond mad. My little one stick to me since he feel so bad and all I can do is hold him. Don't she know is is around all the sick kids? How hard is it to wash that hand right in the room? Is that sink in the room ever even used at all? To hear the story please read the detail: This is what happened, my 7 month baby was having diarrhea three weeks ago, I brought him to Boca pediatric Associates after a few days waiting without improvement. Dr Laskas was nice, she did show love for my baby. When she asked me if baby was teething, I said "yes" . Then she put her figure directly into my baby's mouth without any protection gloves or anything. I was shocked. I didn't say anything because I thought maybe this was just one time thing and I also didn't want to embarrass her by saying anything. After three weeks, my baby's diarrhea wasn't serious but didn't totally clear up, and he also now has a flu with runny nose.(later, I know where that runny nose germ come from, the finger.) I brought him back and saw her again yesterday. She then did the same thing again, asking if he is teething and put her finger directly into my baby's mouth. I was really disturbed. As any mom knows how mom go through with an infant baby feeling sick, my baby is stick on me day and night. I have being waken up few times at night to soothing him to sleep, and I am super worried. I ordered cart cover, High chair cove to protect my baby from germs. I felt that I failed to protect him by watching a "Doctor" Putting her finger into his mouth. I know she didn't wash hands before waking into the room where we were since I can hear her in the next room right beside. What's worse! This time I stood up for my baby. I told the front desk lady. She said that the "Doctor" washes hands all the time and it's okay. She said that even with glove on she still may have touched every where and have germs. I was even more shocked, I said that " aren't Doctor suppose to use gloves and through out the used one" there shouldn't be any germs, I said that i feel terribly uneasy about it" She finally said something I want to hear, she said that she will tell the doctor about it. I did my research. It is not required for doctor to use gloves, but good ethical doctor do wash handy in front of the patient if they will use their handy to touch patient's mouth. I wish that I know sooner to prevent this from happening. My poor little one is so special to me and watching him sick and struggle to breath is such a torture. I hope this never happens again. As I sit here with my 2.5 year old for now going on an 2 hours just to get the required Florida forms for school...after being called this morning to be told the doctor that I was originally scheduled to see -with an appropriate made over a month ago...I can say that I will not be coming back to this practice...deplorable read more

First thing I noticed when I walked in this place for my son's appointment is that it is a high volume mill. They hoard everyone in at the front window like an amusement ride. Same thing checking out. However, that is not why I rated this one star. We brought our 5 day old son for a routine visit and explained we wanted to get a circumcision. The doctor, Dr. Maria Arreaza explained she would check to see if Pediatric Associates could do it, or refer us to a Pediatric Urologist (for our insurance) and she promised she would call us that evening. We never received her call. Nor did we get an follow-up after calling 4 times. As it turns out, if your baby doesn't get a circumcision within the first 2 weeks after they are born, it can be a very problematic experience for the baby, including extra bleeding and pain. In this case, because of Pediatric Associate's negligence by not calling us back, not providing us with a referral, we were forced to find someone on our own, By the time we were able to do this, our baby was a month old. Unfortunately, our baby had to suffer because people who we paid to do a job, and who we relied upon did not come through. Needless to say, we have changed pediatricians. It is only my hope that his review provides some helpful information to others. It is unfortunate that even the incompetent medical providers are able to survice in Florida with the large influx of people coming here. Do your own due diligence before subjecting your child to a place like this that chooses volume over valor. UPDATE: I have noticed that Pediatric Associates has filed a response. Wow! Sure you want to now offer an investigation now so you can attempt to rehabilitate yourself to Yelp readers. Where was the investigation when we tried to call 4 times with no courtesy of a return phone call? What happened to Dr. Arreaza's phone call that never came. How is your investigation going to help us? Help Yelp readers? What about the tons of other bad reviews you have received. Did you bother to look into their similar complaints, because I still see the same types of bad reviews being posted, which means you have done nothing to resolve the problems. read more

I have been taking my kids to the Boca location for over 10 years. Sometimes the wait is longer than other times, but, I will wait for quality care. It is what it is with doctors' offices, in general. We've seen several of the doctors over the years (we do have our favorites), and they have all been wonderful and attentive. The staff has also been great. Highly recommended. read more

Love this practice! Dr. David Marcus has been our family pediatrician for 21 years. We have seen all of the doctors there over the years and they are all wonderful & caring. Yes, we wait all the time, but we are treated courteously. I am not a fan of waiting but I know this will happen in this busy office. I expect this of the medical system today and my children and I bring books to read while we wait. Once we see a doctor (and all of them have been good to us), we get exceptional service. Dr. Cutler has been taking care of my boys for 14 years. He has great instincts and always gets it right!! When my youngest son was 5 months old and we just moved to Florida he had a very bad respiratory infection and Dr. Cutler knew exactly what to do to get him well quickly. My pediatrician in NY couldn't and we had to move with a sick baby. Dr. Cutler was amazing. And continues to be there for my boys. Highly recommend him and his practice. read more

We have been going to Pediatrics Associates for 16 years now. I have 3 kids (one 16, and 14 year old twins) and believe me, I have been to this office so many times over the years! But, I have never considered going anywhere else for the first line care of my children. I have seen many of the doctors over the years and do have some favorites-Papadimitriou, Chen, Marcus, Cutler, but even when you get a rotating Doctor (they work shifts in other practices) I still get the best possible care for my children. We have seen them for the basic cold/flu/sinus issues, broken bones, ADD issues, vaccine and shots, yearly physicals and health forms, bloodwork, and more. Yes, I also get frustrated with the wait -3 kids at one point all toddlers/babies and long waits in the rooms. But, I always had every and I mean every question answered when the Doctor came in. I was probably the one to hold up the process with all my questions. Of course, I take my kids to specialists for more defined issues and yes, I can now use Urgent Care if we don't have the time to make an appointment. But, this practice offers it all. Because Pediatric Associates is such a large a practice, you can visit any other office or get seen at their after hours offices (until 8:00 p.m. on nights/weekends and open all holidays) Sick kids happen at all hours and I was constantly in the Coral Springs office when they were babies for their extended hours. Kids now see their Pediatrician until they are 18- 21 so think about this practice for the long term. You start with all your baby needs, but then move into teen issues with them.
