When I was very young, my family lived in Los Angeles, and while visiting relatives in Chicago I unfortunately came down with rotavirus. At my family's synagogue, we were referred to a pediatrician named Dr. Laurie Hochberg, and she was truly incredible. I don't remember all the details because I was so young, but I do remember how helpful, knowledgeable, and reassuring she was during a very stressful time. A few years later, when we moved to Chicago, it was an easy decision to choose Pediatric Partners as our primary care practice. They are, without a doubt, the best pediatric practice in the Chicago area. Every doctor is exceptionally knowledgeable, calm, and attentive, and we trust them completely. They are always on top of everything and make you feel confident that your child is in the best possible hands. Even though the practice is about a 25-minute drive for us, we have never considered going anywhere else. I have the utmost trust in everyone who works there and have only had positive experiences. Wow this office was so sweet and welcoming. We typically frequent the Vernon Hills location but came over to the HP office because of availability. Everyone at this office is so sweet and kind. I almost wish it was our primary office. Parking is a little tough if your not from the area. I was told there is a free parking garage if you take Laurel (sp?). This time my husband just sat in a 15 minute spot while we went in. I definitely recommend this office and all the staff! read more

Took our son in for an injury. After an emergency room visit, Pediatric Partners followed up with us to make sure he's okay and got us in for an appointment right away. They also already scheduled follow up appointments...super organized there. The new location in Port Clinton Square is gorgeous! They have parking out front and underground at Port Clinton Square. The new space is much larger than the old location in the Highland Park Hospital. The space is clean and modern, and the new waiting room is spacious and still has that new kid smell. Take note of the super duper adorable mini couch for little kids (awwwww). They are following strict Covid protocols with floor markings, plexi-shields everywhere (I mean that's pretty standard these days). What I love about the new space, is that you literally walk in the door from street level. For parents with strollers or young kids, this is much better logistically. No stairs or elevators to go up and down. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Since Covid, I feel like this office has done a great job of getting everyone in as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible. We haven't had to wait much over the year. All the doctors, nurses, and staff members are super duper friendly. We've been coming here since the boys were three. Bonus virtual appointments, if you need them. read more

My husband and I are first time parents and were recommended to see Dr. Hochberg by my OBGYN. I love my OB and figured I couldn't go wrong with her recommendation! I also love that they are affiliated with Lurie's Children's Hospital. We have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Hochberg, Dr. Dayan, and Dr. Eisenstein. All three have been wonderful. All three are very professional, friendly, and are helpful in answering all of our questions (I always have a list, haha); I never feel rushed! Being first time parents comes with a lot of nerves. Sure enough, a week after bringing our baby home, I freaked out in the middle of the night and made a call to the on-call doctor. It happened to be Dr. Dayan and she was wonderful. I was apologetic for the call and she managed to put me at ease and made sure I understood that it's ok to call anytime and it's their job to help...at any hour! I really appreciated that! The office has walk-in hours at the beginning of the day and the end of the day. The staff seems pretty friendly so far! read more

I switched pediatricians 10 years ago and I'm SO glad we did. Dr. Sirota and her team at Pediatric Partners are the most knowledgeable and caring practice in the area. In addition to providing comprehensive care--they have a therapist and nutritionist available to patients--they care about my children's overall health. I wouldn't trust my kids health to anyone else. I'm just sad that my kids are aging out soon. I wish they could see Pediatric Partners forever! read more

Pediatric Partners is the in-house pediatrician group at Highland Park Hospital. We delivered there recently, and each day we saw a different doctor from the practice. Dr. Damani was warm and kind, but subsequently the interactions with others got worse and worse. We felt exams and explanations were hasty, curt, and even rude on a couple occasions. As new parents, our engagement with this group was the most disappointing during our hospital stay. The doctors were also quite salesy trying to sell us on their practice, and it was off-putting. read more

Love love LOVE! Always available when I need an emergency appointment! We are seeing Dr Mukherjee and she is excellent ! Both of my boys are seeing her, we never feel rushed, she always asks a ton of questions about both boys and very thorough with all the information. I can actually have a conversation with her, express my concerns and ask questions. Been there for over a year and only waited once to be seen. Nurses are very friendly so is front desk staff. 6 months at this practice and I am now switching and taking my kids to Lake Forest Pediatrics. The Highland Park office is a *tad* better than the Vernon Hills location, but not by much. Vernon Hills office staff is horrible: unfriendly, ignores patients while on the phone, and has kept me waiting 10 min+ for every appointment. One of the nurses in particular at Vernon Hills just sealed the deal for me to change practices. She is unfriendly, curt, and very odd with my children. In fact, none of the staff, including the doctors, has a "pediatric vibe," None that I have encountered are warm or friendly with my kids. The nurse in question would not shut up about HOW TALL my baby was, and made a huge deal about it to the point of me wanting to scream in her face. She was extremely unprofessional and made me feel like there was something wrong with my 1 year old for being in the 100 percentile of height. The doctor was just as bad, and came in the door saying "I hear we have a tall baby!" She was weird, and distant, and unfriendly. My daughter received a lead test at her appointment, and the nurse pricked her toe for a blood sample. She left the room abruptly afterwards to get the test results and my daughter was hysterical, and her toe was bleeding like crazy all over the place. Blood all over her clothes, my clothes, the table, everywhere. I had to open the door to ask the nurse to return and help me (WTF???!!). She was totally not concerned about this at all, and was reluctant to give me a bandaid because choking hazard, and reprimanded me to remember to take it off later. OMG. You are the one that is letting my baby bleed all over the place!!!! This was literally one of the worst encounters with the medical profession that I have ever experienced. I fled out of this place and went downstairs immediately to Lake Forest pediatrics to switch practices. read more

If I were to write this review from the perspective of a 12 year old I would say it sucks, doctors suck, shots suck but they have a kick ass sticker collection that I loved when I was 5. Well I am writing it from the part time mother's kind of perspective so I think Pediatric Partners are amazing. I wouldnt exaggerate if I said I have been to this office over 100 times in the past 7 years and been happy every time. I am shocked the insurance hasnt dropped us or even PP for that matter. They are amazing about fitting us in, we rarely wait and they have a fantastic staff. I really think Dr. Sirota is not human. She is too amazing and perfect to be one. The rest of the staff is great as well. Dalia, Esmeralda Elizabeth the NP, Dr Robin. All of them are great. I havent birthed yet but when I do, I am not worried about the place I am going to bring my minions in. read more

DIVORCED PARENTS and PARENTS WORRIED about their KIDS TAKING PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS PLEASE READ - for you CHILDREN'S SAFETY and WELL BEING PLEASE AVOID the PEDIATRIC PARTNERS SC PRACTICE in HIGHLAND PARK Without speaking to me, my ex-wife decided that she was going to put our teenage daughter on Prozac (fluoxetine) for anxiety. Thankfully I found out about it before my daughter began taking the medication. I asked to speak to the physician that interviewed my daughter, diagnosed her and prescribed the Prozac. I called the number for the Pediatric Partners SC Practice in Highland Park, IL and the answering service said they would have her call me back. I received a call back from Anamarie a short while later and asked her to walk me through my daughter's assessment. As she did so and I asked a few basic questions, it became clear that Anamarie was very inexperienced and not very knowledgeable, particularly with the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety in teenagers. It turned out that Anamarie was a nurse and not a doctor. I probed further and asked the nurse why she was comfortable prescribing Prozac "off label" for anxiety when it was only FDA approved for treating depression in teenagers and has a black box warning (the strongest warning the FDA gives and signifies that medical studies indicate the drug carries a significant risk of serious or even life-threatening adverse effects) even for a depression diagnosis. She responded that it was not at all uncommon for her practice to prescribe psychotropic drugs "off label" for kids. I asked her if other treatment options were considered and exhausted before medication was decided on and she said that therapy was considered and exhausted as she believed my daughter had been seeing a therapist weekly for several months. When I explained that was incorrect and that my daughter had only seen the therapist a few times in the last several months, would she still consider this option to have been exhausted. She responded that she did. I asked her if she prescribed Prozac for teenagers for anxiety often and she said it wasn't necessarily often but it wasn't at all uncommon. I then mentioned to her that the black box FDA warning on Prozac warned of serious side effects including suicidal ideation at the beginning of a course of treatment and when dosage was modified and I asked her if in her experience she had ever seen those side effects. The nurse said she had never seen those side effects. That seemed odd so I asked her how long she had been a nurse that could prescribe Prozac and she responded "only a year." I then asked to speak with the supervising physician that the nurse said she had consulted with (but that had not examined or interviewed my daughter). Later that day I was called back by Dr. Laurie Hochberg, the supervising physician. I started off by saying that I wanted to have my daughter's records updated so that my daughter could not be prescribed psychotropic drugs without my knowledge and consent (as I have joint legal custody.) The doctor refused telling me that was my problem to workout out with my ex-wife. I asked her if she was comfortable with a nurse with only one year's worth of experience prescribing a black box warning psychotropic drug for an "off label" diagnosis to a teenager that the doctor hadn't personally interviewed. Her voice dripping with condescension Dr. Hochberg told me she was totally comfortable with it. I recounted to her that the nurse had not been careful in her conversation with my daughter's therapist and had mistakenly understood that my daughter had received 4-5x more therapy than she had actually received. I asked Dr. Hochberg if knowing that this information had been misunderstood, would that not change the doctor's level of comfort with the drug being prescribed so quickly. The doctor said it didn't change her opinion at all and that she was completely comfortable with what had been decided. Honestly, I was stunned. The level of arrogance and cavalierness Dr. Hochberg displayed was unbelievable. She went on to tell me how there simply aren't enough pediatric psychiatrists to serve the huge increase in demand so pediatricians and even nurses have to fill the void. Needless to say I am changing pediatric practices immediately so buyers beware. The level of unprofessionalism and carelessness with something so critically important was breathtaking. read more

Former patient, now an adult. Sure, they're perfectly fine when it comes to regular, easy ailments. But, for my whole childhood, they dismissed my complaints of joint pains, dislocations, etc. Often suggested mental illness. I didn't trust them then, and I sure as hell would not now, seeing as it's mostly still the same doctors there that treated me then. I have come to find that I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, type 3. Lazy and not willing to reach outside their comfort zones. Shame on you for not taking children in pain seriously. I'll give 2 stars for keeping me alive through run of the mill ailments like strep, flu, etc. but that's all. read more

Lets just say, 5 months in and we're leaving. I will say, all the nurses are awesome. They're sweet and accommodating and friendly. I can't say the same for the office staff. I had a horrible experience with the receptionist at the Vernon Hills location. She went beyond rude in to downright mean. Most importantly though I just wasn't comfortable with the doctor, her instructions and the way she made me feel. I get it that she's the doctor and I'm not, but I'm the mom and I know my baby and if I'm concerned or worried I want to be able to have a conversation about it, not just told that everything is fine don't worry... read more

Contrary to a prior negative post about the practice, I have experienced a caring, understanding and educated staff. My daughter sees Laurie and Anamarie and they both are extremely thorough and thoughtful. My daughter now says she wants to be a Dr. after our visit. WORST SERVICE EVER. Not only did I call to explain why I didn't make my 8 am appointment because I was VIOLENTLY ILL and I told the receptionist Sarah how I could reschedule and that I wasn't a "no show" but she then explained how I was going to be charged for the appointment I slept through when I told her I could come in now. She didn't even ask if I was okay or what I was sick with, she could have cared less. All she cared about was getting her $25 FUCKING co-pay. I am a single woman working two jobs to support myself, I live on my own and pay my bills myself. Nothing surprising coming from a northshore business- only caring about the money and not the customer/patient. I'm thoroughly disgusted with everyone in this office. read more
