They also push their providers for different services on you no matter how much you say you don't want/need to see said specialist. They'll call you endlessly. They just want your copay. Save your money just use a public healthcare provider. They started to answer via chat while I was still on hold. Telephones never picked up. When asked they said "staff was busy" when I asked why chat was being answered they replied because they have designated people to answer chat. Make that make sense.

From check in to pre op prep, and physically going into the OR all the staff were extremely pleasant. My pre op nurse Beverly was awesome. She was patient and walked me through the whole process as I was nervous for this was my first colonoscopy. My anesthesiologist was great too and I was in and out from 730am and done in recovery by 1030am. The care was great and when the nurse called the following day to check up on me she took the time to listen to my symptoms and worries and I did not feel rushed at all.

After multiple delayed callbacks, the physician eventually spoke with me by phone. When I asked reasonable follow-up questions about medication side effects, the conversation escalated. The physician became verbally aggressive, stated there was nothing further the urgent care could do, and originally refused to provide her name. The call was then handed over to the manager, who immediately raised her voice, spoke over me, accused me of demanding medications, and continued escalating the interaction. When I stated that the call was being recorded, she incorrectly claimed this was illegal in New Jersey, used profanity, and abruptly ended the call. I was calling as a sick patient trying to discuss side effects and treatment options. The way this situation was handled was unprofessional and disappointing. The fact that this is how they treat sick patients who are just asking a few questions is very telling about the "care" they provide.

Everything from start to finish went fine, and I was very happy with the level of service I received from this facility. In the week leading up to my surgery, I received several calls from both Englewood ENT and the Surgery Center to ensure everything was set for my procedure - from paperwork to schedule changes and beyond. I prefer more information than less, so I was happy to receive even a quick phone call or text to update me on even the slightest change. The hardest part about this center is the location - it's really tucked in to a bizarre neighborhood in Fort Lee. However, the location sent me a direct pin to the front door which really helped. (When looking it up on Google Maps, the ETA was slightly different. The listed location on Google Maps is not as accurate at the pin they provide, so use the location that the text message sends out.) I was also grateful for the message about the parking they sent beforehand - the place is undergoing construction and they gave us a head's up about how it may be different to find parking. Obviously, for a surgical procedure, one can expect to be there early to make sure everything runs smoothly. I arrived 90 minutes before my scheduled time (7:30am). The gentleman at the front desk was kind and informative. You basically submit everything before you go, so you only need to sign some paperwork before you go in. The waiting room is also very chill and comfortable, with a TV screen that gives you up-to-date patient information so your guest can know what's going on. Upon entering pre-opt, every person was lovely, kind, and informative. Shout out to Elmer who took my pre-opt notes while I was getting ready! I am a talker (especially when I'm nervous) and the nurses were very happy to engage in conversation with me. While I was finished and waiting to wake up from anesthesia, the Center and doctor called my dad to let them know how I was doing. Upon waking, AJ took care of me - she's awesome! I was out and ready by 11am. I really could not have asked for a better experience!

I discovered I needed to allow lots of time for traffic, especially in the morning. They called me pre-op to get all the necessary information and answered all my questions about my transportation. I was having local anesthesia, so I was able to drive myself home. When I arrived I was greeted and made comfortable in the waiting room. It is very clean! Pre op nurse Elmer did everything correct. Thank you to Josephine, RN who visited me in pre-op. It truly helps when you are a little nervous to have kind and considerate people speaking to you! They informed me of exactly what would happen. Or Nurses Cristina and Karen and Dr. Ekstein spoke with me pre op and during procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. Everything went according to plan. My recovery room nurse Lorraine gave me written and verbal instruction, offered nourishment and assistance, answered all my questions and saw me safely out of the building. I was very impressed with the center, the staff, the kindness and professionalism. I am a nurse and it's pretty hard to please us! A+ in every way.

His gentle care and absolute altruism with Mom was remarkable as many doctors today rush the elderly and virtually dismiss their concerns. Doc was able to diagnose her posing problem and prescribe a regimen to remediate her pain. But not only was he so very benevolent to her, he took me into his office to explain her condition and the detailed treatment to follow, ensuring that we both understood the prognosis. It is indeed appalling to find a woman's bizarre complaint about the formation of a keloid after her surgery and staple removal. Had she conducted the appropriate medical research, she would have noted that this was the sole response of her own body's production. This would be akin to my placing blame on my breast surgeon for the axillary web syndrome (cording), a result of scar tissue forming a painful cord after cancer surgery. Mom is now changing gynecologists to continue with this extraordinary man and medical expert!

Having worked in the medical field for many years, I know that staples are typically used for geriatric or obese patients, not for someone in their 30s with no medical indication. I never imagined a doctor would choose this option for me without any explanation or consent. The result was devastating. The scar left behind by these staples was horrific, barbaric, and completely unnecessary. My surgery alone cost over $18,000, and yet the care I received fell far below basic expectations. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor. Please ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't assume every provider will choose the best or most appropriate method for you. My experience left me with a permanent reminder of a decision I was never informed about.

The team may seem not too chatty, but that's because if they see all is good and they sense it from afar, they won't waste anyone's time. My daughter was born out of state which was a bummer but they still took care of me throughout my pregnancy knowing that I am from NY and could be going into labor in my home state. I have been going here now for about 5 years and although I still just work in NJ and haven't moved here, I will keep going to them no matter what. The team is very competent without much fakeness of being supper interested about your life and so on like some others. I rather keep appts short and sweet and hear more talk about the real things. Everytime I feel funny about something, whether it was me being paranoid about not being to get pregnant again, or something else. One of them would say nonesence, you are fine, and fine I was. Lol anyway, we need more of that in our lives, so that's my take on this practice. Also, I have recommended this practice to a friend of mine and she had both of her kids with them as well, so I am glad her experience was just as great as mine.

The metal speculum hurts insanely for people not used to things inside them. At my previous OBGYN, she used a lidocaine gel to help with sensitivity on the cervix. They only had a spray which is effective for less time and they didn't want to use it when my IUD was removed, only for the re-insertion. I think the staff was nice and caring, but it's honestly disappoint that lidocaine gel isn't the standard and all we're supposed to take is pain relievers for having a rod shoved up our cervix!
