In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.

I called about a concern I had regarding a sinus issue that I wanted to address with the doctor. Nicole felt that her front desk expertise entitles her to speak for the doctor. I questioned her and voiced my concerns while she rudely spoke over me. I addressed her about her unprofessionalism, speaking for the doctor, and she then says I'm being rude. I told her when a parent calls with a complaint or concern that is for the doctor to address and not for her to go back and forth with a parent! She said the doctor would call me. I requested an office manager and she says they'll call me. Three and a half hours later I had to call them back to follow up (while my son is suffering with sinus issues). I spoke to Maria the office manager. I explained my experience and told her I never received a call and wasn't even sure if she got my message. She proceeds to tell me she was waiting to call me towards the end of the day. Which is crazy since my son is suffering! I told Maria the office manager that Nicole was being unprofessional and talking over me. She apologized for that but then proceeded to victimize her staff saying I basically was attacking them, going "back and forth" while I was advocating for my child. This office also tends to bring you in multiple times for the same thing. That way they get to charge the health insurance as much as possible. The other incident she was trying to make seem like it was multiple times was another front desk staff who was trying to force my son and I to go back for the same issue they did NOT send medication for (which is why I called). I explained to Maria the office manager that was a lie and I would not be slandered because I advocated for my son who is on the spectrum and insurance. The office manager started speaking to me like I was the villain. Mentioned "if you have a job" that I would know how to talk to people. Etc. I was flabbergasted with her unprofessionalism and response. She in no way shape or form helped nor tried to get in contact with the doctor. Nor sent me the medicine for my son. She basically said in other words that I can leave the office if I don't feel comfortable. Gave me a nonchalant attitude and was very dismissive. Kept saying things like Okay okay okay okay mami and additional snarky remarks trying to shut me up. I mentioned that maybe I should opt out of the office because I have never experienced this in a professional setting. She proceeded to say okay she'll send the exit paperwork. I thanked her for her non-help and nonchalant attitude. She says your welcome. I told her to have the day she deserves and she wished me the same. So I decided to opt out before I come out of character. P.s The discharge papers were sent within minutes. Yet nothing else was addressed. But as the office manager stated in our phone call, "they have the best staff and she's very proud of them". DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!!

Masks available if you forget. The new location is spacious and great! Easy check in and always making sure our address and number is the same so they can reach out. Telehealth is a nice touch for sure.

Easily the worst experience I have ever had in a doctor's office…read more Went for a physical, to get something to help me sleep, and for a recurring GI problem that I had been experiencing for about 6 months, at that time. The wait to see the doctor was an hour and 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The staff of very young, very pretty girls spent a large time standing around and talking, while actually twirling their hair--I kid you not. One poor girl seemed to be doing all the work, running around like the proverbial headless chicken. After being hurried in, Dr. Conte basically straight up refused to listen to anything I said about anything. He kept trying to push me on his 800 calorie a day diet that would require coming back to his office for weekly injections of vitamins and appetite suppressants. I know I have to diet, but I would have preferred more sensible suggestions, like a nutritional plan, or weight watchers, or anything. He was clearly there just to make money. When I tried to bring his focus back to my complaints--he got in my face and shouted "Don't you want to be skinny? Don't you want to be HOT!?!?!" He refused to do the blood work I wanted. He refused to give me a tetanus booster shot, even though it had been 15 years since my last one. "Oh, we don't do those anymore, unless there is a reason". He wouldn't consider a prescription for a sleep aid, or offer any advice for the panic attacks I that had been waking me up. Oh actually, he did, "You girls worry too much about your weddings". He sent me to get an ultrasound because of my GI problems. This was a sensible test, considering the symptoms. Conveniently, the place he sent me too just happened to be owned by another member of the Conte family--pretty amazing coincidence. After the ultrasound found nothing, he sent me back for an MRI. When the MRI turned up nothing, his diagnosis was, again "you're too worried about your wedding. Girls like you need to realize it's just one day--nothing to focus your life around". I guess when he has no family members to send you to, that's the end of his concern for your health. Fortunately, I later determined--on my own--that my problems were food allergies that I had apparently developed as an adult. In short, I would avoid the offices of Kenneth Conte.
