The pizza is big. It reheats well. Taste great cold. Great sauce, cheese and dough. Thin crust. The cheese pizza is the best on South Shore. I recommend the 4 cheese pizza. They sell three types of slices. Cheese, Pepperoni and Bonus Slice (changes daily). The prices are high compared to corner store and pizza chains. But the trade off for quality is worth it. Limited uncomfortable seating. Expect to wait during peak times. The kitchen works their tails off, you'll see this while you're waiting. This pizza delivered warm 90 minutes after ordering, is still better than most pizzas. But, get in the car and pick it up for best quality. Grub seems to cause problems with all restaurants. Totally unimpressed! The only reason we sometimes order pizza from this place is because we don't have too many choices: Hingham area is known for its shortage of good cafes/restaurants. The waiting time is usually promised at 30 min but it's never shorter than 45 min. The only good thing about their pizza is thin crust that we like. They are very stingy about toppings: we feel they use the same amount of toppings for both a small and a large size making the latter one barely sprinkled. C'mon guys, for $21 you could throw a few more mushrooms! And put more than 4 croutons and a tiny amount of toppings on a huge bowl of greens! Very expensive foo-foo pizza. A couple of times, 45 minutes until my pie was ready turned into 90 minutes. Screwed up on orders too many times. The last order that was wrong, I called and was told that they would mark me down in their, "book of errors," and that I could pick up my correct pizza any time. When I went to cash in on that, I was told that there was no, "book of errors." I'm not a fan of gourmet pizza anyway, but did like their pepperoni pizza. But you know who says your pie will be ready in 15 to 20 minutes and it always is? And you know who has never screwed up my order? Crow Point. That's where I'll be going for now on. I would give Peel in Hingham 5 stars for the food but the guy with the red hair and beard who normally answers the phone and takes orders is absolutely horrid. The rudest person I have ever encountered in the service industry. Advice to him would be to get another job if he can't treat customers with respect. I ordered a salad and after I paid, no thank you or even an ask of whether I wanted a receipt. Just left salad on counter. Had to ask if they had plastic utensils and then if I could get a napkin. I have had nothing but great experiences during my numerous trips to Peel. The location is great, the decor is fresh and the staff has been very helpful. The pizza is fantastic and for dads, it is nice to be able to have a beer while eating and/or waiting for takeout. The lasagna was a nice surprise too. Possibly the most delicious red pizza sauce ever. Tangy, spicy, and lots of tomato chunks. Crust is on the very thin side, so it's not the most filling pizza you'll ever try, but so tasty. Gotta give this little place 5 stars due to good 80s music to go with big, tasty slices. Perhaps a little pricey, but worth it. Limited slices menu, but the pepperoni is great. Real thin crust, but excellent sauce. All tastes fresh. Even have some brews. Lasagna can be made in about 15 minutes - I'll have to try that next time. Friendly service. Really fabulous, albeit overpriced, pizza (par for the course when visiting a gourmet pizza joint). Super thin, outer crust crisps up nice, delicious tomato sauce. The single slices are massive (just not a lot of options, topping wise - cheese, pepperoni and essentially a margarita when I went). Their menu is massive and full of interesting/tasty sounding combos. I had the peel pb & j; awesome combo of spicy (really spicy!) jalapeños, sweet pineapple and salty (and crispy!) bacon bits. My husband got the buffalo blue (white pizza) and was pleased, but was surprised at the amount of spice. Would happily return to try out something different. read more

Where's the cheese? Or better - where's the cheese flavor? Granted the large pizza is larger than a normal large (18") and the cheese pizza looked like it had cheese, but eating it, all we could taste was the sauce and none of the cheese. Don't know if it's a blessing or a curse that our family works in the food business and know what brands of cheese good pizza shops use (cough, cough - Grande or Saputo) which makes us wonder what they're using here - 'cause we couldn't taste it at all. The crust is so thin - the thinnest crust we've ever had, that it almost doesn't really feel like eating pizza. $15 for a large cheese, and up to 22 for a specialty pizza, unfortunately we'll drive in the other direction to Bertucci's and get a more filling pizza. read more

So glad that I did, these wings are the bomb dot com, they are skillet cooked, they are juicy, they are tasty, they sublimely take your taste buds to another dimension. They have sauce on the side, they tell yoh the wings are so good they don't sauce them. This is true. You don't need the sauce, but it is good. You just don't need it. Peel is my favorite pizza. I do a pretty good job of eating here or the Cohasset location once a week. Recently I went to a new restaurant in Hingham which I won't name, I went for lunch and left very hungry/unsatisfied. I shamelessly went to fulfill my craving at peel where i was greeted with a delicious hot slice of pizza. They do a good job rotating the "special" slice of the day but their cheese and pepperoni take care of business even when I'm not feeling the special. My favorite pizza here is the PB&J (pineapple, bacon, jalapeño) I will always love this pizza. I have been on a recent kick to avoid (not eliminate) gluten so I sought out Peel Pizza after hearing good things about their gluten free pizza. We tried the gluten free artichoke pizza, the gluten free ricotta, sausage, and banana pepper pizza, the chicken wings, and the Greek salad. I'm sold on the gluten free pizza, the crust was a much closer rendition of 'normal' pizza crust than any other that I have ever had; it had the perfect amount of chew, crisp, and flavor. The wings were awesome actually, I'll definitely be suckered into ordering them again but I didn't love the fact that they were breaded. The salad was your run of the mill Greek salad so nothing special to note there. The one thing I was not pleased with was the price, the food I mentioned above was $50. Okay... for two pizzas, wings, and a salad that doesn't seem that bad right? Usually not. However, the gluten free pizzas are only 10" (which is a stretch ours were 8-9" max) and they're thin crust too so you definitely need one or more per person. I get that you pay a premium for craft food, especially healthier craft food, but just the size of these pizzas makes the price a little outrageous... that's dinner at $20-25 a head at a pizza place. I'll definitely be back and I would highly recommend the gluten free pizza but be prepared to shell out for tiny pies. We ordered dinner from Peel a few nights ago. We shared the chicken wings, which were delicious and perfectly cooked. We had 2 pizzas. The one with smoked mozzarella and prosciutto had room much chunky tomato on it; the flavor was fine but the texture not quite right. The second pizza was the Luau, which was quite good notwithstanding the pineapple. Also had a Cesar salad, which was a little heavy on the dressing.
