We did not eat inside so this review has to be mainly about the pizza. We did pick it up, so I can say the inside has seating and seems comfortable and clean. We got the special. The seasoning was good and the crust had a good crunch. I would have like the toppings more evenly distributed I wasn't sure if it had any sausage at first. And some slices had a few mushrooms and others it appeared all the toppings. It was done really really fast so maybe that is why. read more

Another win for a south of Boston pizza parlor. Pie was cooked perfectly! No flop, beautiful undercarriage and perfect cheese to sauce ratio. I was worried about this one - Dave gave it a high score but it was an old video and sometimes those scores are inflated - but Rosie's may have been one of the best normal pizzeria slices I've had. Typically, Dave's top places are wood/coal oven pizza places - rarely does a normal pizzeria style pizza receive such an elite score. Despite burning my face off on my first bite, the crisp was spectacular - no flop and a nice crunch - and the sauce and cheese worked perfectly together. It's a bit of a drive from Boston, but well, well worth it. Excellent pizza! read more

My partner and I got a large cheese pizza and small house special pizza - TASTE: 4/5 - enjoyed the sauce on the cheese pizza, and the saltiness of the pepperoni and sausage on the house special TEXTURE: 4/5 - the dough was thin and crisp, and the crust wasn't dry. Pizza was honestly really disappointing. I called in and ordered for pickup and they said 15 mins. I was shocked because I never thought pizza could be done so early so I figured it was super thin. Anyway $22-$26 for large pies so that's pretty standard in Boston area and I got the meat lover and Buffalo chicken. Both did not taste good... the Buffalo chicken was better but really bad. Honestly good pizza but they have the best wraps in Braintree. The chicken Cesar wrap and the buffalo chicken wrap are to die for. I highly recommend asking for the chicken they use in the buffalo chicken wrap in the Cesar wrap. You won't regret it. The vibe is local pizza joint so it's nothing to eye popping. The service is always friendly and accommodating. They also have very good subs. read more

Based on my friend's recommendation, I decided to try this pizza place. I got a small mushroom pizza. Parking was convenient since there was a parking lot on the side of the pizza place. The pizza itself was rather disappointing. There was hardly more than 2 mushrooms on each pizza slice and the pizza crust was very chewy. I felt it was a bit undercooked. read more

I first heard about this place through a review by Portnoy. I've tried other pizza spots he's reviewed, including the bar pizza place in Lynn, which he rated higher than Lynwood's in Randolph. I strongly disagreed with both of his ratings--the Lynn spot was terrible, and Lynwood's was far superior. Since Rosie's is nearby, I decided to give it a try instead of my usual go-to places, Papa Gino's in Quincy Center and Montilio's in Braintree. From the first bite to the last, I completely agreed with Portnoy's high rating. Rosie's is now my new go-to spot--unless I have a coupon for Papa Gino's, as it can be a bit pricey. The service is excellent. The owner (at least, I assume he's the owner based on how he interacts with customers) is very friendly, and the cashiers are as well. There's plenty of seating, and the space looks cozy and inviting for dining in, though I usually get my orders to go. read more

My favorite food in Braintree!! I grew up in this town and even though I don't live here anymore, I still make the drive to get their food. I honestly prefer this "sub shop" food over any restaurant in town. The tuna club has the best tuna I've found anywhere! The flavor is very unique and addicting. The pizza is as delicious as people say it is and lives up to the hype; foldable slices of thin crispy crust with a sweet sauce and lots of cheese. And omg the buffalo chicken!! They make their own unique creamy buffalo sauce that you can buy by the bottle, which says a lot about the cult-following this sauce has. Definitely check this place out! read more

On our last stop of our pizza tour, Junior and I decided to go to Rosies. We came here because of a monster review that we saw on YouTube from a very well known pizza reviewer. We got there, the place is hot as hell but very cool looking And you could tell they been doing this a long time. We ordered a plain cheese pie and it was sent to our table promptly. The cheese and the sauce were very tasty and at first bite, I absolutely loved it. When I got towards the crust though, I noticed a grainy substance all over the bottom of the pie. It could've been cornmeal, or semolina, but it was a little bit much for me. The crust was light, I wish I had a little more crisp, but it was very good. Let's getting recommendations to come here from other south shore moms. Stopped by here the other day for a pick up. I ordered a simple small cheese pizza. Very decent size and good for $9. I'm more than a bit preggo and have been craving for very specific cheese pizza... super crispy dough. Thin crust. Cheesy. And not hard. The only place I found this classic kind of pizza that is cooked perfectly was at a small hole in the wall in Newport. Boy am I so glad I found one close to me!!! I drive by rosies almost everyday and have never thought to stop in. I was soooo happy. And my cravings were super satisfied!! I wish I took a picture. The customer service was also amazing. My 2 year old fell asleep during the ride there. I called and ask one of the girls to bring it to my car for me. She did it with no hesitation. This will be my new go to place. I'm so excited to find a new regular. Ohh in case you guys didn't know yet. I'm not even a fan of pizzas . But when I have cravings I know where I'm going. You have to understand; I am from New Jersey and consider New Jersey pizza to be the pinnacle of all pizza (eh throw in New York too) Rosie's is the closest to NJ-style pizza i have found in the state of Massachusetts. From me, that's a big compliment. We got a half pepperoni half plain well done. The fulled the instructions to the letter, achieving the right firmness without sacrificing the full flavor. The pizzeria was not full but I still appreciated the quick turn-around to boot. I am upset I had not discovered Rosie's before! Called in an order for half pepperoni, half mushroom and a small Buffalo chicken fingers. Starting with highlights I will agree that the Buffalo chicken fingers are different and in a good way. The batter was crispy and I liked how they made it. The flavor is very unique and my husband even enjoyed it when he is not a fan of Buffalo sauce. The staff was very friendly and efficient as well. However, when I got home my half pepperoni, half mushroom turned out to be a mushroomless pizza. Additionally it was soggy and soaking with oil. I'm not sure if it would be any better if I asked for it well done because some of the pepperoni were already burnt. I wouldn't come back for pizza but if you like Buffalo chicken I'd say this is your place! read more

take out order- got the order all wrong. asked for a white pizza with broccoli and tomato. apparently white pizza does not signify white sauce. instead i got a no sauce pizza with barely any cheese broccoli and tomato. i ordered an egg wrap with eggs cheese veggies no meat. instead i got a western which included ham. i'm allergic to meat and took my first bite realizing ham was in the wrap. when i called to ask for help. they informed me they were closed even though it was before their closing. after asking for a refund i was told they can't do it over the phone. i asked for a new order then to be delivered and they said all their drivers left. i was informed i had to go back to rosie's for any help. truly disappointed. used to order from her very regularly however ill be taking all my business forever elsewhere. read more

Was I skeptical? A little. Was I wrong? Completely. Five coworkers told me about this place- let me be the first to tell you, anything below four stars here is wrong. This place is a goddamned institution, packed full of people from all walks of life, and it's full of generous portions, fresh food, and perfect sandwiches. PERFECT SANDWICHES. Mine was buffalo chicken on a sub roll with pickles, cheese, and bacon. Half breakfast, half bar food. Oh my god. It came with a side of fresh bread and fries for a little over $8. I'm stuffed from half and I already want to lie to my partner and tell her it was stolen by a seagull. I'm so happy I'm close by, and I want to try everything on the menu. read more

By far one of the best subs and burgers I've ever had in Boston. The food is fresh and made to order and is so inexpensive that I'm not sure how they stay in business. The people are great. Stopped by here for lunch with some coworkers. Not familiar with the area but they assured me to try the buffalo chicken; it's unlike any other I've had. Let me say now that I've had buffalo chicken or wings at basically any restaurant that I've ever been to that serves it. It's my go to, my favorite. That being said, I was not disappointed. The sauce they make is creamy but surprisingly still had great spiciness. It's consistency of the sauce was unlike any other buffalo sauce I've encountered. It's much thicker then the traditional vinegar based hot sauce. I learned after my visit that they bottle and sell the sauce. Definitely going to need to pick some up next time I'm in the area. read more

Got 2 large pizzas last nite. First was the Philly cheese steak (shaved steak, roasted red peppers and a few onions). It was good- not amazing but good. The second was a large with chicken, eggplant, feta and garlic. It tasted good but was way too soggy. The pieces were falling apart while we tried to eat them. You definitely needed a plate and silverware. Overall the pizza was ok. Rosie's does help the Braintree little league baseball by selling them pizza at big discount for them to sell at games and make money for the league and fields. read more

Best pizza place around! I've known about this place for years! I used to go to the high school near by so I would always go here after school. It's deli meats so can be salty for some, but they also come with a wide variety of other toppings. Staff were very friendly. Definitely a space where they have their regulars but everyone is made to feel welcome.

So when we were driving past this place in Milton, we gave it a shot. They are lovely and will load firewood into your car for you. I went on my way home while wearing a suit, heels and formal coat, and the gentleman helping us out would not let me touch a log. Their wood burns very nicely and is the perfect size. There are very few pops and the wood is high quality. We recently relocated to the Boston area, and had purchased wood from another source in NY. This wood is far superior to what we had previously ordered and we plan to order it in bulk next year. Bonus points, this quaint store has nice freshly baked bread, flowers and gourmet goods as well as some staples. Only thing I would recommend is adding some Iggy's baguettes. Cute store with excellent service!

We used to order directly from Thatcher Farms but stopped getting delivery a few years ago. I still like to grab a few from here or the Fruit Center Marketplace in the square every so often. I really enjoy their chocolate milk (they sell Hatchland Farms NH & Thatcher Farms), but today I saw that they had coffee milk too! Thought that was interesting but didn't end up grabbing... I must try it next time ;) Aside from the milks, they also carry popular beverage brands like Polar Seltzer cans, Oatly! Oatmilk, Welch's juices, Newman's Own, Tropicana, etc. They also sell bread, sandwiches, snacks such as cookies and candy, and fresh flowers that are displayed outside! In the fall, they have a bunch of pumpkins for sale & in the winter time, they usually have some Christmas trees you can buy! Very cute place & highly recommend if you're in the area.
