UPDATE (August 2026): After escalating this issue to management (Ron Bryza), Peerless sent a representative to inspect the bowed panel and gate. He visually declared that the posts were leaning and needed to be dug out and reset--however, he conducted this assessment without using a level or any diagnostic tools on site. After the visit, I measured the house-side posts using a 2-axis level and provided photographic proof to Peerless showing that the posts read dead-center plumb on both axes. The issue is strictly isolated to failed, unreinforced horizontal rails. Despite receiving clear physical proof that the existing posts are straight, Ron and management refused to remove $1,680 in unnecessary post replacements ($1,440 of which was labor to set posts that are already level), stating they "cannot work for free." Management defended the $2,764+ final price tag for a single 10-foot section repair by citing internal quoting software errors and "small job" labor surcharges to cover contractor piece rates, while dismissing realistic trade material pricing as "box store" rates. Volume buying doesn't explain a 400% markup on standard post sleeves or charging $1,440 in labor to replace plumb posts. Because Peerless refused to adjust their scope to reflect actual site conditions, I have officially closed out this ticket and am taking my business to another local contractor. I had the absolute worst experience with Peerless Fence that I've ever had with any company ever. Poor workmanship, a salesman that stole $6k from me and a corporate office that doesn't care for their customers or quality of work Let's start with the sales process. I contracted peerless fence to build my fence based on a very strict time line I had. The salesman john promised me this deadline would be met. He reassured me many times over the next few weeks that this deadline would be met. There was thousands of dollars on the line on my end for this deadline. Peerless was 40% higher than every other quote I received but I went with them only because they assured my time line would be met. I paid $6,000 cash for the half down payment. Two days before the deadline Julie had not come out and John would not give me anything other than "don't worry it's happening." So I call the office and it turns out that John never recorded my deposit OR put me on the schedule. He had pocketed my money and was trying to do my fence on the side. The office claimed I was lying when I told them I was promised this date and I had paid cash until I sent dozens of text messages to them including a deposit receipt. They got the fence done but way over my timeline and it cost me a lot of money and I was never offered anything more than a "yeah sorry not our problem anymore". They fired the salesman and filed felony theft charges against him but I was never informed of any of this or offered any kind of apology. When I brought it up, the project manager Tarik Rana just dismissed it "that's not here nor there anymore please just pay me the rest of the balance". This timeline issue cost me over $4000 and they didn't care. Now for the quality of work. The fence itself, is awful. I was told "ultra premium materials and high quality hardware.". They use Home Depot wood that (by their own admission) sits outside uncovered for months or years at a time before going on a job. The hardware is the cheapest, bottom of the barrel junk you can buy. I had to have them come out not even 3 months later and replace almost half of my fence posts because they were bent so bad the posts curled up and pulled my fence line back. Now I need to pay someone else to come out and replace the other half because they're also bent and curling up. They did a horrible job, and they use the lowest quality materials they possibly can. The fence is touching the ground in some places and not even close in other places. My small gate is sagging. They couldn't even line up my double gate straight. The company has offered me absolutely nothing beyond a half baked "apology" when I have a $13k fence that looks absolutely awful. I'm shocked they even put their name tag on it. Avoid them at all costs. Find a good small business fence company that doesn't hire criminals. Worst experience ever. They sent three different technicians to repair our gate, and it is still falling apart. The workmanship is extremely poor. Instead of using proper wood screws, they relied almost entirely on a nail gun, and the nails are already causing staining and bleeding down the boards. To make matters worse, the fence posts are splitting in multiple places, raising serious concerns about the quality of the materials and installation. We spent over $12,000 on this project and ended up with a fence that looks unfinished and poorly constructed, covered in visible nails and defects. For the amount of money we paid, we expected professional craftsmanship and a durable product. Our experience with Peerless Fence was frustrating from start to finish. After placing our deposit, our project didn't even begin until over two months later, and during that time, we constantly had to chase them down just to get updates. Communication was nearly nonexistent unless we reached out first, and when we did, we were often met with unkind and dismissive attitudes. To make matters worse, when we made a change order that both parties agreed to in writing, the refund process confusing and unprofessional. Different team members gave conflicting information, and it felt like no one wanted to speak with us. We tried to resolve things respectfully and directly, but the lack of courtesy and transparency was discouraging. Typical. The young, polite sales person shows up on time , says the right things, promises to do a great job on a fence. Impressed we agree and of course pay a handsome downstroke IN ADVANCE. All set for the job to be done in about 3 weeks. After a month we tried text, voice msg. , emails to reach the sales guy......no response. Tried to call corporate and never could reach a person by phone despite being "the next person in line" on hold. Adios muchacho, no fence sale for you. I'll get the deposit back. read more

We hired Peerless for a large, very expensive residential fence installation job. The installation was outsourced to a company that charged us a couple hundred extra to do a smaller task that wasn't included on the work order, but was supposed to be included. We asked that they leave any extra materials for future repairs and nothing was left so we have zero replacement boards to use. I have contacted Peerless 10+ times regarding needed repairs, emailed photos like they requested (multiple times), sent follow-up emails, and no one has responded to me after contacting multiple people. The problems with the fence include: 1) Three gates - that are very difficult to latch/unlatch, and/or are sagging, and/or have large gaps when closed completely, and/or have cracked posts. 2) Splintering and cracking boards and boards with holes through them due to using subpar boards. Our wood fencing is a treated pine called Copperwood from Ozark Timber that only Peerless sells. It's "supposed to" be treated to help prevent insect damage, decay, and rot. But after 2.5 years, so many boards are wearing through and looking shabby. As of 2024, the fence comes with a 15 year warranty to replace rotted boards, but we bought ours in 2022. And since we never received any of the overage materials we requested, we HAVE TO use Peerless to do the fence repairs since the timber used is exclusively sold to them. read more

I wish I would have read reviews for PEERLESS FENCE before signing any contracts with them. Over one year and 3 separate crews to "fix" the fence and it still isn't right. The people in the office say they will fix the problem, but never do. They don't let the crews bring enough material to fix any issues. The first crew that originally put up my fence attached the fence to my neighbors garage. So many boards are out of plumb and so many are spaced unevenly. You don't even need a level to check it. It is so far off you can see it from the street. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I went to Home Depot and PEERLESS FENCE is the company that they use. I have done several other projects with Home Depot and have been happy. If I ever do any other fencing, I will not be using them again. PEERLESS FENCE does not care about their customers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! If I could give this place a ZERO, that would give them a better rating than they should receive. Cecil the rep came to my mom's home and gave her a quote on a fence at the end of March. My mom decided to move forward with the fence since they are the fence company that works with Home Depot. On April 7, 2023 Cecil called my cell and let me know he lost her quote/specification and asked if I could send him a pic of it....... red flag one...... I did. After a month and a half, my mom started calling; the "company's" excuse is they are waiting for the permit. After two months and no word, I called our city's permit department and they informed me it takes about 24-48 hours...... SO I decided to take matters into my own hands..... PS- because the fence was charged on a Home Depot card, my mom is making payments for a fence she does not have and YES they charge you for services they have not rendered.....ILLEGAL.......and yes I am taking those matters into other hands..... They started to give me the runaround,....sent me an email twice asking for me, THE CUSTOMER, to upload the permit. I was told this issue was brought to the manager Scott Bradley's attention (who just returned from vacation) and given his assistant's name, Ramon. I was also given their direct lines in case of any issues. After another phone call and no resolution, I called Scott Bradley's line and left a voicemail, I am still waiting on that return phone call. Management at its finest. On June 28, 2023, I called AGAIN, this time pretty upset, and rightfully so. The Rep told me that she would escalate this to her manager and that she should call me back on June 29....and to my surprise she did. She explained that the fees for the permit had changed for our city which they were unaware of and that they had paid them and everything should be ready to go within 24-48 hours. Being July 4th weekend. I knew things would take a couple of days longer. I waited until July 7th to call, THREE MONTHS TO THE DAY SINCE CECIL CALLED ME ASKING FOR THE SPECS...... You guessed it right, NOTHING DONE....... the Rep told me the same sob story about the permit and BLAH BLAH BLAH........ I have no idea how this company is in business....... read more

I ordered a fence through Home Depot and this is the company that came and installed it. The fence looks like a roller coaster and the gate is crooked. They broke off my gutter and did a choppy job reinstalling it. Getting a person to speak to about the issues was not easy at all. Completely dissatisfied with the fence and paid someone else to come fix it after multiple calls to Home Depot and asking the laborers to have Kyle call me back. My experience with Peerless Fence was horrible. My sales rep, Mike Levitzke, lied to me the entire time. He was very unprofessional and his main concern was making the sale and moving on to the next job. The communication between Peerless fence and myself was a disgrace and came home to a fence and yard that was completely unacceptable. The driveway was covered with mud and dirt. My backyard was covered with 35 flags laying around, mud and gravel everywhere, 23 cracked boards that were installed, the entire back portion of the fence was installed incorrectly, the lock was placed on the wrong side of the gate and multiple nails sticking out which were accessible to my puppies getting hurt with. The District Manager, Alan Holcomb, was very unsympathetic to my situation and I am still dealing with this company to rectify all of it. NO apology or any other means to compensate me for all of my time and troubles with them. I would NEVER recommend this dishonest company! Peerless Fence should be ashamed of their work and lies.
