On a recent Whole Foods visit, we decided to give Peets in the same shopping center a visit rather than our usual Starbucks/Dunkin. Spacious inside with lots of seats, a decent menu. I had a White Mocha and my wife a decaf with a chocolate croissant. Service was great and e admired the artwork.

ordered for pickup and my drink came with almost a quarter of it missing. idk why they couldnt have taken the time to make it full??? very odd.

A non Starbucks chain; I have the vibe that it doesn't want to be Starbucks which is great; yet there's a few things that reminds me of Starbucks. They have their own rewards program and sell coffee to go which are both a plus. Their coffee/tea selections are drinkable and have caffeine or no caffeine (DUH). Taste-wise it's got robustness and homeyness to them which is fine for a cold day. Food could be a bit better. While their pastures are ok, some items like their egg sand on whole grain could just use work; it's just an egg with American cheese slapped in between two pieces of whole grain bread that's hardly toasted with a boring taste. May have to switch it up to a different item next time I roll up. Interior has a good amount of sitting space and areas for conversation and bonding. The back room has a long table to do work or hold meetings; the sound does bounce of the walls so you may need headphones to block the noise out. Independent coffee shops are more my thing but this is a decent addition to the Ashburn area.

Only a few people in line when I arrived Sunday morning, but felt very busy. It seemed like there was only one guy making drinks, one at register, and one helping with food. I got the Havana cappuccino which was good and the chicken chorizo breakfast flatbread. I probably should have just gotten a croissant cause it took 10 mins to get my food. Drink was ready pretty quickly. Everyone was very friendly and this location is decorated nicely.

I love Peet's! This location in particular is always clean, quiet, and the baristas are always very friendly. I got a latte, and had no complaints- plus, I was super grateful they offer simple stuff syrup, so when I have iced drinnks I don't have to worry about the sugar just sinking it the bottom. My latte was hot and delicious- definitely coming back!

Love the new development of shops and restaurants anchoring Whole Foods here. Peet's is bright and airy, a welcome alternative to Starbucks.

This roast is not the darker, slightly acidic/burnt flavor I am used to with s-bux.

They also had an osmanthus flower drink and a signature drink with grapes that was very tasty as well. The hands on part was my favorite. They walked us through how to properly whisk our own matcha and let us practice the technique ourselves. On top of that, we got to sample a variety of their teas throughout the class. The owner clearly knows their craft. Their in-store matcha has actually won awards, and you can taste the quality difference. The space itself is beautifully curated too, with a whole shelf of adorable teaware and gifts to buy afterward. Such a fun, educational experience for a group. Highly recommend if you want to actually learn about matcha rather than just drink it!!!

There are also a bunch of tea accessories which I find very adorable however could be a bit pricey. The drink selection is pretty big. The drink I got however wasn't my favorite. I got the lime guava strawberry oolong. When I tasted the sample it was very yummy. However when I ordered it the drink came with so much stuff inside, it made the drink experience kinda disappointing. The sample was strained so I didn't think the drink was going to have guava seeds inside of it. While drinking it the seeds were impossible to ignore as they were hard and small. It's like a choking hazard really. I wish they had strained it before serving. So just be warned about some of the drinks you order.

I wish they'd put more meat in their sandwhiches, but the quiche brought a smile to my father's face so it made up for it. The coffee was amazing too. The sandwich was at least overflowing and the bread tasty, sort of a cheddar jalapeño bread but..something was definitely missing in the chicken. At least it was reasonably priced at $9.50 but they will nickel and dime for anything else on it. The kids menu is Expensive! For the price of a PB&J, you could buy a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a jar of jelly and make 10 of them. I think they tried to price kids items like adult meals. It was crowded at lunch time, some inside seating, looked like more outside. Parking is in a lot nearby but can fill up. Plenty of drinks and such. Kind of an ordinary deli with comparatively good prices for adult meals when held up against other places in the area.
