    Meatloaf Sando

Fantastic meatloaf sandwich on the best ciabatta I've had on a sandwich. The meatloaf could've been a little more lively but the entire bite with all components left me wanting to go back in. I wish they put the tomato-pepper chutney on both sides. To the restaurant, I recommend adding a few more hot options to the menu with the ingredients they have. A chipotle chicken or Southern style turkey would be rather easy to incorporate. Excellent cookies! Seating inside is rough. Plan to take it to go.

I had the chicken crunch wrap at South Street Under, and it was pretty tasty! They also whipped it up quickly, which I really appreciated. Overall, a solid choice for a quick, satisfying bite.

Breakfast sandwich with chorizo and bacon on ciabatta

I really enjoyed our breakfast stop here! I had a chorizo breakfast sandwich on ciabatta with bacon. The chorizo was cooked well, and neither overly greasy nor dry. I really liked the texture and flavor on the bread, and was tempted to get an extra roll. The atmosphere of the place was neat, it felt tucked away and hidden. There were a few other tables of folks with the comfortable atmosphere of regulars, which is never a bad thing to see. I definitely recommend this place!

South Street Under is a part of a cute area in downtown Leesburg. I ordered their South Street Hoagie and had to force myself not to buy one of their homemade baked goods. I guess I can't say too much about a sandwich, but their bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. I don't like too much cheese, so I found the meat-cheese-lettuce ratio perfect.

South Street Under is a small cafe of sorts in the bottom level of Market Station - a mixed use retail complex. They serve a variety of breakfast and lunch items. I stopped in for breakfast: A Sesame Seed Ciabatta Bagel as the foundation for a Lox & Bagel: Smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, tomato, and onion (I did not see an option for fresh dill - which is a bummer). I wanted to order a cold brew - but the closest they currently offer is iced coffee - which as cold brew afficionados know - is not even close to being the same thing. So I ordered an iced latte. I waited inside for my order - there are several small tables inside - and a ton of seating outside - most of which is under cover - so if it's raining out - you can sit outside but not be impacted by precipitation. The Lox & Bagel was tasty and filling - nothing out of the ordinary here. I wish that it had been adorned with fresh dill. The iced latte was okay. Served its purpose of caffeinating my brain cells. Service was good! #SouthStreetUnder

I love these kinds of places--small town, reliable menu, good bakery, etc. It came recommended by AI (that's a whole other thing--I have a travel blog and it was for that) and I'm glad I went. Had the quiche of the day, a lemon bar (I just can't resist them), and sat outside. Quiche and lemon bar were great, "salad" left a bit to be desired, and the setting was perfect on a nice summer day. Plenty of other things on the menu I'd like to try, so I'll be back.

South Street Under is my favorite coffee shop in Leesburg. I come here most mornings, and have yet to have a bad experience. I always get a hazelnut latte or cold brew. Their punch card system is a nice reward for customer loyalty. Jack is our favorite barista here. He is always very friendly! The patio is very pleasant, and we enjoy sipping our coffees out here on nice mornings. They are also dog friendly! Their Tuscan Chicken sandwich is my favorite lunch item, as well as their vegetable soup.

    Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad

South Street Under is a sandwich shop where they bake their own bread. I love ciabatta bread in general, when it's made freshly so it's still warm is extra satisfying. This establishment is pretty small, we were lucky there was a table for us. There's plenty of outdoor seating available, but not so much for the winter. We got a Chicken Ciapini sandwich, and a Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad to share. The salad came prepackaged, in a very tiny container for $4.75. Our sandwich was ready pretty quickly. It was so, so delicious! This bread is crazy good, the chicken breast in it was finely cut, so it wasn't at all dry. There was havarti cheese, spinach, tomato and zesty pepper mayo, for a light seasoning. This sounds pretty basic, but it was juicy, fresh and melty. All of these ingredients work so well together. The salad was also very good, the cranberries and the pecans added the perfect amount of texture to a lot of chicken. If you're in Leesburg, I'd for sure stop by South Street Under, and try their ciabatta bread.

Can you find a two slices of dry corned beef in this picture? Extremely disappointed for a $12 sandwich.

The farm‑to‑table food is consistently high‑quality, the employees are friendly, and the whole place has such a charming, cozy ambiance. It's truly one of the cutest spaces in town. The food is on the pricier side, but honestly, everything is these days and the quality here usually makes it worth it. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining, which I've always appreciated. My only real concern is the current indoor seating setup. The dining area is now limited to one very small room inside the house with tightly packed tables, and it's noticeably uncomfortable compared to how it used to be. In the past, seating was spread throughout the connected house on the property, which made the experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Now, most of those rooms seem to be used for gift‑shop retail space instead. While the shop is lovely, I can't help but feel that expanding indoor dining again would serve customers and the business far better than the retail rooms. People who buy high‑quality, fairly pricey food want a comfortable place to sit and enjoy it. I truly love this place and hope they consider bringing back more indoor seating. It's a gem in Leesburg, and with a few adjustments, it could be even better.

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!
