I've been a die-hard Starbucks Refreshers girl for a long time, but with the new year I thought I'd branch out a bit. I prefer non-caffeinated fruity drinks so I can drink it anytime of day, and I was looking for an alternative to the Refresher. I've tried the Peet's Hibiscus Infusion several times and am in love! I've noticed that different Peet's make their Infusion stronger than others but the ones from this location was perfect! Had a customer service issue awhile back. Peet's customer service contacted me immediately, not that I expected that and gave me a coupon for two drinks. Now that is customer service, the lady I had complained about has been so nice to me in recent days, I kinda feel bad now, she could of just been having a bad day. It's a shame, I really wanted to love this place. Happy Valley Town Center is such a pretty little strip mall. In general, the stores are cool, it's a nice neighborhood, good people, clean and quiet. It also happens to be in my neck of the woods, so that's a definite plus. My first experience with Peet's was a delectable White Chocolate Mocha, but that was in Vancouver, and i was excited to try out the one closer to home. As someone who relied on tip income in the past, I have relatively high standards for customer service. I was very disappointed when I walked in was completely ignored by the girl at the counter. I figured out later on that she was scooping coffee beans into a container for the customer before me, but that was no reason she couldn't have greeted me, as opposed to just having me standing there wondering if she was mute. After she ignored me for a couple minutes, another girl came to the register and upon receiving my payment, she realized she didn't have a till, so she needed to call for assistance, duh. I had heard excellent things about their Masala Chai Latte, so I decided to try it. A little while after I ordered it, the barista called me to the counter to let me know she was brewing the Chai, so it'd be a few more minutes. The coffee shop is charming, but that doesn't mean I want to wait a whole 10-15 minutes for my drink, especially when they are not at all busy! The drinks I've had from there are decent, but not worth the crappy service I've received every time I've been in there. I won't give up on Peet's but in the future, I'll get my fix when I'm shopping at Fred Meyer! read more

i used to be a starbucks lover but had gotten a peets gift card and tried them out... took literally one visit to convert me to a die-hard peets fan! my go-to order is a matcha latte with oat milk. i love having the option of having it either unsweetened or lightly sweetened as well as having oat milk as a dairy alternative. service has always been fantastic as well, which i highly appreciate. read more

I got an iced soy caramel latte, I had to repeat myself twice because the cashier kept forgetting soy. The coffee was very bitter, likely the worst I've ever had. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a chai with almond milk (they don't have coconut milk). I was hoping for some breakfast sandwiches, too, but they only have pastries. While coffee is good and people are nice, Peet's wireless access procedure sucks. I emailed Peet's corporate and they said: "I am very sorry that our policy on requesting a wifi-access code is inconvenient for you. That was certainly not our intention in offering our wifi service. After giving our internet program a couple of years to settle in ( prior to having a code ), the overwhelming feedback we received from our stores and our customers was that more control was needed. The addition of the service made most people very happy, but what wasn't so nice was the space sharing issues it created in many stores. Hence, we decided that we issue access codes and 'restrict' the Wi-Fi usage to one hour for every customer." I've decided that their wifi access code is too cumbersome. I am going to Coffees On around 1.5 miles west to get my coffee. read more

Peet's has delicious coffee. But, a good, strong decaf is hard to come by, and Peet's has the best decaf around (along with Tully's). I know, I know, decaf isn't really coffee - but I love coffee, I just can't handle the caffeine. This place is clean, friendly, and convenient to home. Staff is kind of scandalous, i came in with a coupon twice ( the ones you get when you spend/put 25+ on your peets card , you get a coupon free medium beverage of YOUR choice) and both times the staff was so rude. I came in and made my order and this nice girl starts taking to me full of smile, she rings me up and i give her the coupon . Her facial expression after seeing the coupon was " i just wasted my energy with someone with a coupon" . She stopped smiling and talking and seemed kind of annoyed. Whatever right maybe she's having a bad day. Next time i come in, like a month later i had another coupon. I came in and ordered and gave my coupon to another employee that was working , she takes the coupon and reads it and says " your total is $3.00 " I'm just like what are you saying that coupon says free medium drink of your choice . It just went in one ear and out the other with her she told me my price again and i was just like give me my coupon back im going. She did not want to give it back , so i just left . Really i don't know what is wrong with store, staff is unbelievably rude . Coupons are like holy water to them. I guess i will have to go out of my way to the peets coffee on ne Broadway because they know what they are doing. I work by them but since i live in clackamas is still out of my way too go to this one but i want to support peets because there customer service is usually what get me coming back . There is a Starbucks right around the corner from me if peets doesn't step up there game i will just go back to starbucks . As an ex-Starbucks'er I love this Peets location. The people are especially friendly and it's a great place to hang out and get some work done or just enjoy a a drink. I come here almost every morning for an iced or hot coffee and always enjoy seeing the baristas. If your one of those people who can't be patient for two seconds while they make you a quality cup of coffee then head down the street, the green lady will happily serve you up a dirty cup of water quicker. I have patronized this Peet's since they came into the neighborhood, and I find it warm and cozy with generally plenty of seating. And if there aren't enough seats, there is usually a frequenter willing to share their table for a spell. The baristas are friendly, funny, and learn names (and your fave drink) quickly. I typically order a caramel latte and occasionally a treat from the pastry case, although I currently have an affinity to their oatmeal, which is yummy on a cold, wintry day. I wish at times they had some other non-sweet food items. Overall, great coffee, tea, and fantastic employees.
