I also gave them a new loop (taken off another purse) to replace it with. They told me to come back in 2 days. I did. After looking everywhere for it it had not been fixed. Come back in 2 more days. I did. Purse still not fixed. They're apologizing profusely and PROMISING to get it done later that day. Come back tomorrow. I did. It still had not been touched. I say this is getting a bit ridiculous, they are soooo sorry. They swear it will be done. Come back again. I did (you guessed it...never touched). This happened 7 times. We are talking replacing 1 loop. The 7th time they tell me they'll fix it now. Come back in a little while. I did...and this is what they gave me (see photos). They did use the new loop I gave them...and somehow they actually RIPPED IT, TOO!!! I stood there, mouth agape in disbelief as he tried to convince me that "the new strap will hold just fine" (as he's yanking on the new loop now making the rip even larger). I tell him this just won't do. He finds another piece of leather to make a new-new loop and tells me to come back tomorrow. Now exhausted...I did. Still nothing had been done. As he was again apologizing saying to come back again I took the purse and told him I really did not want them to have it yet another time...and that I would not be coming back. I'm sorry I gave them so many chances. I won't be giving them any more. Do yourself, and Marelli Brothers, a favor...take your business somewhere else.

Brought 3 pairs of suede shoes for cleaning. When I arrived to pick them up, one pair was ruined - all discolored plus suede was treated incorrectly with water, so it all shrunk. When I pointed it out, I was not met with an apology, but instead, and I'll quote: - "they are supposed to be this color" - "no, they are supposed to be all white" *shows a photo* -"they were already like that, otherwise you wouldn't have brought them here!" -"they were only dirty next to the sole, now they are entirely discolored. Also, this pair was over $1k - how do you suggest we resolve this?" -"are you seriously making drama over a pair of shoes? People are dying in the world! And there are better ways to spend a thousand dollars than on a pair of shoes! You can just take them but you will pay me for the other 2 pairs!" The man clearly didn't know how to clean suede, and I would have really appreciated it if he would have been honest and not accepted the job. Instead, he decided to attempt it, which resulted in permanent damage. The craziest part, still, is how aggressively defensive he got, refusing to take any responsibility and making inappropriate comments. For that last part of the conversation he was even kind of yelling at me already. I was frankly just a little intimidated by this man, so I gave him whatever payment he was demanding and quickly left. Nuts!

He recovered a small leather ottoman-like stool, and he rebuilt the cushions on a vintage mohair sofa. The sofa was miserably uncomfortable as the down cushions had lost all support, but the "bones" of the piece were good. He figured out how to rebuild the cushions w/ a solid foam core surrounded by down, particularly tricky as the cushions are not rectangular but quite curved. It totally renovated this piece of furniture, so now it's a very comfy couch and even serves as an occasional guest bed. And his price was about 1/2 of what I was quoted at the local foam shop. His work reflects true "old world craftsmanship," and he is so easy to work with!

While the material source screwed up on my leather color, the chairs looked great. Ehsan offered to happily redo the chairs but I declined as the color variation ended being cool. After a few days the leather started puckering and upon letting Ehsan know, he came to pick them up personally and is sourcing a more aggressive adhesive. All in all, while encountering a few issues, some out of his control and some within his control, Ehsan was very professional and totally stood by his work.

I wish I had a before and after picture to show how bad the coffee table was when I brought it to him originally. I understand that retail stores need to make a profit BUT when I shop at other stores and they ask me if I am a resident and they give a discount without me even asking for one. I purchase items from Barcelino that are over a minimum of $1,000 each time I shop. When I ask about a discount, even a small amount (since I shop there a few times a year) I'm told the owner won't approve it. You would think he would be open to even a small discount instead of risking a loyal customer not to shop there again which is what I may do.
