The first is always fresh and very good to eat. Husband loves the hibachi grill. I love the sushi. We go as often as we can.

Overall, this place is okay if you're looking for something quick and filling. It's usually pretty busy when I've gone, which says a lot about its popularity. The food is decent, and the day I went when they were cooking fresh on the grill, it was actually really good and flavorful. That said, buffets personally aren't my favorite due to sanitation concerns, and the space itself feels a bit run down and worn. The ambience isn't really somewhere you go to relax or enjoy the atmosphere -- it's more of a grab-and-go kind of spot. Service was fine, nothing bad to note, just busy. This place is alright. It is a buffet but I believe you can also get hibachi. I ate at the buffet, and it's your fault if you leave hungry. There are not a whole lot of options, but there are things for pickier people. I liked it, I would like to go back and try other things to see if I would like it even more. read more

These boys been throwing it down for years now. I will say I always hated the food here, it always hurt my stomach and tasted mid. It's just your usual Chinese buffet food, like I went to Leavenworth, Ks one time and was talked into a Chinese buffet and it was literally the same food. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of on Fridays they get that hibachi grill fired up son and it's some of the best meat you'll ever put in your mouth. Best Chinese food I've ever had. Everything is fresh and delicious. Service is always excellent. Decent bathrooms and I'll be going there for my birthday. If it wasn't so far away from me I'd be at this place 3 to 4 times a week. Praise God for this place lol. I hope they never close. read more

My wife and I come here a lot so much that Tony our front knows our drink order. Plus he ask about my wife being pregnant which is great service. We got there around 8 in the evening so they were getting ready to close but the tables were clean and so was the floors and around the buffet. Over all i just have to say I'm very very disappointed, I took my family down here for a birthday dinner and when I arrived everything was fine I was seated, we got out of order on ordering pop that's our fault. Fast foward we got the one wrong drink out of six that's fine it happens after we got our food and just to be honest the Bluefield peekin knocks the sock if this place, the food was luke warm and even stale and soggy. We told our waitress and so she told "tony" and my response was from him, that it was a bar not everything's brought out at once to see what's brought out fresh and that if that wasn't hot enough to order something by itself and not pay for the buffet. Okay so what ever we understand that's perfectly fine and pretty normal for a buffet tbh. But when my check was brought and my fortune cookies where flopped in the table, when I went to pay Tony was slamming buttons on his cash register and was tbh rude demeanor. The waitress was fine until my stuff was just flopped on the table all in all I just won't be back,,,,, for 100 dollars and 20 dollar tip I atleast deserve to be handed my things. I ended up here because I couldn't find El Sombrero (Great reviews). No cell reception to check Yelp so I took a chance. Service was good and attentive. Great variety of choices, but quality was hit or miss and mostly miss. My first plate of food was awful, so I left it mostly untouched and tried again. Second try was better, but very inconsistent for quality. One dish would be good, but the one next to it is awful. I see other reviews where it was good. Off day or maybe quality is going down hill? Luckily it's a buffet so you can eventually find something you can eat. For that reason and good service, I give it 3 stars. If it were an order off the menu place, it's very likely you'd get a 1 star meal depending on what you order. Restaurant itself was a nice atmosphere, but food wasn't well labeled and the cook gets irritated if you ask him questions. Typical entrees with soups,bread, egg rolls, California Rolls, pork ribs, chicken skewers, double deep fried chicken wings (extra crispy), desserts, sauces, veggies, noodles, rice and a chef cooking up your special orders at a rear counter. Was very impressed with freshness, flavor and selection for such a small town. I went to Peking a lot in the summer time. The food was always amazing, especially the mandarin chicken and the kung pao chicken. I would say the food was amazing, but shockingly not the best attribute of the restaurant. The male server there was awesome. He was the best waiter I have ever witnessed. I went back recently and he was gone. The atmosphere was not the same without the greatest server there. He was incredibly polite, friendly, efficient, and handsome. He brought incredible value to that restaurant and I don't see how he can be replaced. He never took smoke breaks and had some of the funniest jokes I have ever heard. Everyone recognizes the greatness of Kevin and Tony, and deservedly so, but this guy was without a doubt the third most valuable asset in the time he was there. read more

Their buffet is good for the novice Chinese sampler (over sauced, over breaded, over sweet) with weekends seeing added steamed crab legs and shrimp at a prime price. If eating all you care is not your thing, they have a good selection of menu items to order fresh cooked meals. The volume of people eating there and the lack of servers can make the experience challenging if doing anything other than the buffet. This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life. The crab legs were in a warming pan straight out of a frozen carton. They were not cooked or thawed in any way. Straight out of the box and into a hotel pan. I approached the the owner of the restaurant and he threatened me. The food was rancid on the hot bar, RANCID. The crab legs in the shells smelled of rotten eggs and the meat inside was still frozen. As I said previously I approached the owner of the restaurant to try can get some type of litigation. I showed him the food and and was told that I could pay or he would call the police. I asked him to taste the food he was serving to people and he flat out refused. Food on the bar is kept at room temperature and is cold by the time one gets back to the table. I cannot understand why they insist on serving Luke warm or cold entrees. I would rate it much higher if my food had not gotten cold before it could be eaten. If I hear that they have addressed this problem ,I will try it again-NOT UNTIL. read more

Been going to school in Grundy for 2 years now. Been here a couple of times since there isn't much here to eat, and though the service and waitresses are great, the food here can be revolting. Chicken too breaded and the place smells of cigarettes; very stale odor. It's a really last resort option that is regretted every time. If you have other options, then don't go here. read more

Peking is so hit or miss. Sometimes you eat there and the food is delicious and sometimes it's super bland and greasy. I've found that the food tends to be better during the day on week days and at night on the weekends. I tend to stay away from the seafood there, however. read more
