Ordered here recently after a day full of events. I got sweet and sour chicken and he got General Tso chicken. Both were fantastic. They each had their own rice, so weren't fighting over a container. We had just discussed hating to share rice, so this was perfect. For my side I got boneless pork. It was cooked perfectly. Great flavor. No chewy fat parts. He got teriyaki beef skewers. He liked them. Portions were large and we each had some for the next day. This food is always perfect and always on time. Great spot I can't recommend enough. read more

My family ordered this as takeout for dinner one night. We ordered Vegetable Lo Mein for the kids and they really enjoyed it. I ordered General Tso's Chicken Combination Dinner and it was very good and reminds me of what I get in Virginia. My wife ordered Szechuan Shrimp and the hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was spicy and flavorful. The Szechuan Shrimp had lot of vegetables and was saucy and spicy which she liked but the rest of the family didn't. That didn't stop them from eating her food though. I also enjoyed the shrimp. My grandmother ordered the Poo Poo Plater for two and my son really enjoyed the beef on a stick. All 5 adults were fighting over the Crab Rangoon. We all enjoyed the meal and we would definitely eat here again. read more

Best we've found in the area. Very consistent, and the crab rangoons are the best around imo. I don't really care if the counter workers are 'enthusiastic' like others seem to... they've always be pleasant enough. My order is always ready quickly. I stopped in at Jade Garden for lunch. This basic Chinese takeout place is very cozy, which is order at the counter with a few tables for eating in. For lunch, I ordered the L11 Shrimp Lo Mein ($6.25 plus tax) with Pork Fried Rice and Appetizer (I got 2 beef teriyaki sticks). The food was set to go in under 10 minutes. The portion size was just right for lunch. The lo mein dish had plenty of very soft baby shrimp cleaned, mix of scallion, carrots, mushroom slices, cabbage, onion, sprouts, tossed with soft noodles, slightly greasy. The pork fried rice (gold) had a firm texture with a mix of tender roast pork cubes and chopped onions (slightly cooked). The 2 beef teriyaki sticks were slightly chewy and had a sweet flavor. First time ordering food here. We were looking for a place locally to get some basic chinese food. We were not looking for anything special. We just wanted some good fried rice, and a few other dishes. What we got was plates full of disappointment. The General Tso chicken was slimy and sweet, without a trace of heat. The fried rice was bland and might as well been 90second microwaveable rice. The Noodles we got were greasy and tasteless. The rangoons and eggrolls were quite unremarkable. And to top off the order, the chicken fingers were greasy, undercooked, and one of them had a nickel sized chunk of hard plastic in it. I am thankful that I ended up with the chicken finger with the plastic, as I am unsure how my 3 or 6 year old children would have handled it without choking. 100% never again. This review makes me sad, I was really hoping to find something worthwhile here. read more

Very good! White rice was perfectly cooked. General Tso chicken was succulent and not under or overcooked. Slight spice to it. Teriyaki steak on stick was flavorful. Dumplings were nice and full. Would visit again and recommend to a friend. read more

3 large teriyaki means that, not 3 single sticks in a bag. Our take out order wasn't discovered until we got home. With the rest of our order we didn't notice right away. Completely serviceable, production-grade Chinese. You've had better, but you've probably had worse. They don't deliver, which is a definitely drawback. Dishes tend to be heavy on the celery and onions, but you can ask them to take them out. read more

This place is pretty good as far as New Hampshire Chinese food goes. The Chinese restaurants in adjacent towns are a few grades below Jade Garden. I like their Moo Shi but most everything is good and they make the food quickly. The staff could use a little cheering up as they always seem miserable. read more

Boy, do I have a lot to say about our experience here on Christmas Eve. I grew up in Newmarket and often enjoyed eating here, didn't do it often but it was a huge treat when I did. Well this Christmas Eve we went down there and ordered food, and they told us it would be about an hour wait. Ok. So we come back an hour later, and our order's not ready. We finally went up to the counter and inquired, and they told us they gave our order to another customer--who does that, and on Christmas Eve?! Anyway, they said they could have our order ready in ten minutes, after we had to circle on the menu what we had ordered, and that was the longest ten minutes ever. Their food is delicious, but their customer service is terrible. Jade Garden won't be getting any more of our business after this incident. read more

It's your standard "take-out only" Chinese food joint that you find in every town. You can eat in, or take out. I usually take out, but sometimes you see people eating in. Don't take the empty restaurant as a bad sign, when dinner time rolls around people are constantly running in and out picking up take-out. I usually only stick to the lunch specials, because you can't really beat the price for the lunch plates you get. The food overall is good, the service is good, and they serve Coca-Cola products which is always a plus. They do ask for a minimum credit charge of $10.00, but they've let me charge less without hassle before, which is nice. The food is prepared quickly and never seems to taste poor. What an operation! We called Jade Garden on our way to a NYE party to get take out and they were totally prepared for a night of Chinese "take out"! The whole family was in the kitchen busting their butts and having fun cooking together. All the take out orders were bagged and placed on a table up front and tagged and ready to check out. We come here all the time! I would say about 80% of the time the foods great! Other times we've gotten burnt chicken fingers and other things over cooked. I've had to bring extremely burnt food that clearly should not have gone out to customers back twice. BUT when it's good it's good! read more

I think this place is under rated. You can tell as soon as you walk in that this isn't some "high end" restaurant. They crank out good Chinese food. I've eaten here a bunch of times over the past ten years and never had a complaint. It's good, quick, and reasonably priced. cant figure out whats with the bad reviews... ordered the sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and crab rangoon, and an order of pan fried dumplings on my way home. was ready when i got there 10-15 mins later. everything was hot and fresh, great flavor and great crunch to the rangoons. lady at the counter wasn't talkative and was clearly all business, so i guess if you're looking for a more personal experience then it might not measure up. as for me, i just wanted to get in, get my food, and go, so that was fine with me. good prices too. nothing to complain about here! read more

I can't figure out the negative review either. Open kitchen concept is awesome, first off. The chicken fingers were the best I've had at any Chinese place. The Lo Mein was awesome, the broccoli with garlic sauce was cooking perfectly and they gave you great, big portions. Best and maybe only chinese place in Newmarket? Pretty good chinese food. My favorite chinese is Orient Pearl which is in Epping so this beats traveling 15 minutes to and from Epping. Tough, chewy, no flavor (not hot like it should be either) and practically all batter. Pork fried rice was bland, crab rangoon was just ok, have had much better.
