Pleasantly surprised by the general tsos chicken combo meal (with fried rice and egg roll). The chicken was saucy and fried rice was flavorful. I also tried the hot and sour soup, which hit the spot. Egg rolls are exactly what you would expect. Pickup time was super quick, only 10 minutes. Portion was large enough to eat over 2 meals. There is actually a lot of seating inside. I would consider dining in to eat food fresh out of the kitchen rather than taking it to go. There is a station where you can take as many sauce packets as you like, as well as utensils and fortune cookies. read more

One star cause they made me put at least one. Food was as bad as this pic. Spent over $80 for the family meal... garbage can ate 90% of it. My family was very disappointed. I do like to give a second chance, but with prices as they are the Peking Garden will remain a stomach churning memory. read more

The food was delicious, it was very quiet, This was the first time I've had food from the place. I ordered the boneless spareribs combination and I asked for extra sauce and it was very good! Your typical take out spot. The food was fresh and typical for what it is. They were very busy when I stopped in to grab some dinner to go, but still putting out orders quickly. Stopped in here while passing through. The food was all perfect. We are a family of 5 with picky kids. We got Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, General Toas Chicken and an Egg Roll. All amazing food! The service was great, friendly and quick and brought it to our table and helped us make room for all of us. The dining area is pretty standard, and the kitchen and signage look like they've been here a while which I think is a good thing. Definitely would recommend. read more

So sad because I have been so happy with this place for 25 plus years. I went today after a year and first off it was filthy disgusting. Second there was no emotion, no sizzle in the back and counter person was impossible to hear. Food order was missing stuff , one dish wrong and a beef and Noodle dish lacking in beef. Taste was awful all around. Something happened, someone new is in charge. Someone who doesn't care. Well I can stick closer to home now that they stink. read more

Thought I would give this place another try. Had General Taos chicken. Was not cooked to order. Tasted tough and dry like it was cooked 2 hours ago. Save your money and eat somewhere else. In fact if you want good Chinese food find another town. Re really do not have good Chinese food here. read more

Wow what a difference 2 years make I work at a summer camp and usually go 2 or 3 times during the summer with a van of staff. I got here early this summer and went tonight with my wife. Ordered combo plates and have never been more disappointed. Food was tasteless and 3/4 rice. The lady that took our orders was rude. We ordered 2 combination plates and asked for two mustards. She said she could only give us one. When my wife persisted she gave us a second mustard. When I got home I noticed she changed my $.50 cents extra for the second mustard.if you look to the left of the receipt you will see a piece of rubber I found in my egg roll. If you're looking for classic New York Chinese food, this is the place to be. My family and I have been going to this restaurant since we moved to the area in 2008 and it has been consistently delicious. It's a shame and confusing that this location has so many 1-star reviews when I have only had wonderful experiences there. read more

Person taking orders always short and rude. Kids always doing homework in dining area. Good I'd generally overpriced. Crab Rangoon is just okay. There are several different Chinese restaurants that are much better at customer service and food is much better as well as priced reasonable. read more

I went there for a quick lunch break, as soon as I walked in the door, all you can smell is grease, the table was coated in grease, the bathroom was locked and had to be opened with a knife, nothing looked very clean and did not smell clean at all. I ordered an eggroll, tasted burned, even if it did not look like it was burned, worst eggroll I have ever had...EVER!!!!!!. Ordered fried dumplings, the grease was just dripping from them, yes I know they are fried but this was ridicules!!! The General Tso Chicken was ok, the fried rice that came with it had no flavor whatsoever. I was told 5 minutes for lunch to come out, 15 minutes later, I finally got my food, thankfully my lunch break was not timed. I would no recommend this place at all, I would not be surprised if they were not shut down in the near future because of the cleanliness. Just my opinion, to each his own. Sesame chicken so salty I couldn't even eat it all in 2 days. It was unedited and could only be eaten when I mixed it with a lot of plain rice to thin out the salt flavor. The food was good, a little extra salty, but good. Just be sure to check your receipt. I was given two receipts with different totals on them. Apparently, they decided to tip themselves generously when I picked up food for takeout. This was my first & last visit there as this did not leave a good impression. read more

Not only did they get our complete (and pretty complicated) order correct, but all the food was delicious!! Because we ordered so much food, they also gave us a free 2-liter bottle of soda! Thought I found cleaned upstanding Chinese restaurant I was wrong. They so quick to get you off the fone you just hope they have your order right and guess what they don't...Ordered chicken wings not chicken parts. Chicken wings are from the wings of a chicken not a drum stick or other unknown poultry...And so over-fried they were like rocks...Pork fried rice was rather tasteless...like they threw it together hoping us customer wouldn't figure it out...Taking them off my list. Worst food EVER. We were brought here for take out by some people who said it was good but it was so so bad. We got wonton soup and general chicken with lo main. The wonton soup looked like it was in dish water literal dish water and kind of tasted like it too. The wontons had nothing in it and really no taste. Moving on. The general chicken did NOT taste like chicken I literally ate one piece and then tore another one open the meat was GREY. My lomain had no taste to it. We threw it all away didn't even want to save it wasn't worth it. It was so bad. I honestly feel for anyone who's eaten the food. read more

Always busy. Consistent, good quality Chinese. Best in the area. Don't be fooled by negative reviews, try it yourself. This place is a hidden gem in quite literally the middle of nowhere. Matamoras is the last town nestled against the Delaware River that divides Pennsylvania from New York. On the other side of Matamoras is the barren land of Lake Wallenpaupack, so after driving 40 miles from Scranton already hungry, this was a welcomed stop on our way back to CT. My wife and youngest daughter stopped for food at Wendy's, but being road-trip tired of fast-food, my youngest daughter and I explored the other dining options in the the plaza. The sushi place was pass because of the bad reviews, and Yanni's didn't strike my fancy having Tikka Masala, Caesar Salad, and a Turkey Burger on the same menu. Hidden deep in the back of the park lot was Peking Garden and it was my last salvation before heading back to Wendy's. I decided to jump in with both feet. 10 minutes later I walked out with a pu-pu platter and some crab rangoon for my daughter and I to split while trekking the last 200 miles home. some of the BEST chinese food i've had. Shrimp Toast, Fried Wontons, Egg Rolls, BBQ Ribs, Teriyaki Beef & Chicken were all delicious. The teriyaki chicken was the highlight. The crab rangoons were flavorful and creamy. I would come back if I was in the area, and might find myself making a special 200 mile trip just to come back here! read more

The restaurant is hidden in a mall-like complex, and Kmart is the one that pops out as it is right ahead. But this place is In between GameStop and Dollar tree. I always love their fresh food and care when you eat in, take out is really good too BUT you get a bigger plate if you eat in. They bring it to your table; and thus more food hint hint. (Some will argue that they cram the same amount in those small chinese box things but I can be a skeptic of that.) read more

The managers/owners (?) will argue with you about the way you request your dish made and that was only the beginning of this visit. The food made me sick. Cheesy ambiance. Never could truly understand which variation of Chinese they were cooking. Did I mention overpriced for a Moonie holdout of gun-toting white supremacists? Stay safe. Best Chinese take out food in area by far. The dumplings , soup, entrees, sides are all tasty. Staff is super friendly...I always ask to add egg to rice and they never give me a problem like some places. Typical Chinese take out vibes from when you walk in. read more
