I went and ordered two combo dinners tonight, we ALWAYS order the same exact order, sweet and sour chicken combo and bones spare rib combo. We've gone here for years! We live at the top of peenpack trail so I picked up our order that was nearly $40, when I got home they had the sweet and sour chicken WAAYYYYY WRONG and had given me sweet and sour shrimp combo. I can't eat shell fish, so I called and told them what had happened. I made it very clear we live 15 minutes away and the guy on the phone told me he'd wait for me to bring back the shrimp combo and replace it for the sweet and sour chicken combo and didn't want to compensate me for my time or gas to go back down there. Finally he said bring back the shrimp and he'd give me the chicken and compensate me a free combo next time we order from there which is about once a week. I felt that was fair so, back down to port jervis we go only to get there to a dark, closed restaurant. So he had just told me to bring it back, was well aware how long it would take to get there yet they closed KNOWING we were on our way back to fix the issue. So, not only did it cost me $40 for food I can't eat, it also cost I'd say no less than $5 in gas, and more money to buy dinner from Ben's Fresh, thank God for them! Their food is amazing, their very fair and I don't believe they'd tell me to bring back a meal they messed up only to close KNOWING I was on my way to fix it. I never bad mouth local businesses, but when they deserve to be bad mouthed I'm going to let people know! Like I said, we eat there about once a week and have never had any issues until now. In my personal opinion they just wanted to close and didn't care that they screwed my food up, then told me to come back that he'd wait for me and I believe they hung up the phone with me and walked out and closed for the night. And what restaurant closes at 9:00pm on a Friday night?!?! I'm taking this back to them tomorrow and for all the s**t they just put us through they better make it right! He knew when he was in the phone with me that he had zero intention on waiting and fixing their mistake!!! Food is good and the service is fast. The prices are very reasonable. I come here maybe once a week or every two weeks. The people are friendly but I will say that customers are so rude here. Port Jervis has some very racist people who treat these workers bad. Every time I've come here it's always some dirty person talking down to them but they handle it well and professionally. We have always ordered from them and we order tonight and 1 hour later we called and asked where our food was they said it was on the way so about 10 minutes later our food got here and we paid and we got billed about 32$ and we asked if this is the correct order and he said they billed us for 4 combo platters and we only wanted 2 plus a pint of fried rice and we didn't get the food we wanted, we sent the food back and went to get food else where, and we pull in to the fast food place and we get a call from them which is about 20 Minutes later and we hung up then they keep calling non stop with different numbers and blocked numbers which we never answered. This place is really lucky that I don't call the health inspector. I ordered our dinner I got chicken & broccoli combo and my husband got boneless spare rib combo. As we just start to eat my 1st bite was I felt something hard I thought it was a bone (no big deal) well I was wrong I bite into a piece of METAL. YES METAL! So I called them and a RUDE GIRL (won't say lady cause she was anything but that) answered the phone an I told her what happened she proceeded to tell me my order , then asked me again what I found I told her again so she goes "well let me talk to the cooks cause sometimes that happens with their pans that they cook with" (what is there to check?i know what I found )so then she puts the phone down while I can hear every little rude remark she's saying while I'm on "hold for the manager" I ended up on hold for 5mins and had enough so I hung up the phone an drove there. Really didn't want to make a scene but if she didn't treat me the way she did on the phone then I wouldn't have gone. So I spoke with to men and showed them my plate with the piece metal they gave me back the money for the meal. I told them I want all my money back , and they gave it all back. Anyway a woman and a tall man pull up in a gold car the man proceeds to my door I pay the guy for my 20 dollar order and give him a 50 dollar bill next thing I know he just turns around and leaves not giving me my 30 dollars change !!
