First time in my life I ever had a bug in my food. Don't go here. Open the container for the first time and took a couple of bites when I saw this dark looking piece in the lo mein. I thought it was burnt cabbage or something but no it was steamed roach. I spent $18 on wings and lo mein got the roach for free

Food here is great and I wanted to see if it was still great after almost 20 years. It was. Some places that I've went back to after a long hiatus, I can't say that for. Customer service was not great! They were not friendly ( well the man is not) I heard that the woman who usually runs the register is from regulars. Boneless ribs and lomein....

Peking Gourmet on Maybank Highway on John's Island is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Everything here is very delicious and flavorful. The location is convenient and easy to access when you are hungry. The service here makes everything easy and is very friendly. I enjoy coming here.

Inside didn't smell too great. The food was not good and I got sick immediately after eating it.

Descent food with good prices. Take out only. Place could be organized and more presentable to patrons. First timer will be back.

We use them for takeout all the time and are never disappointed. Just your basic take out Chinese.

Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Food is bland and greasy. The place looks and feels dirty.

Small hole-in-the-wall spot. Best Chinese I've had since moving to the area. Would highly recommend.

I had the hot tea pot to go with which was refreshing. The dumplings were delicious and I was so happy. We did come in on a busy Saturday night at prime dinner time so we had to wait about 40 mins, but I knew there would be a wait so that's fine. Also, once you sit down, you don't wait for anything. Every time we ordered, the food came out in a few minutes or less. For our first round, we started with the a pot of jasmine tea, cucumber salad and the crab rangoon. The cucumber salad seems like such a simple dish, but the mix of flavor they add makes it a refreshing bite between each course... this is a must have. The crag rangoon was some of the best we've ever had and we loved it so much that we ordered a second plate. There are only three per plate so order accordingly. The tea was great but let it steep longer than you think you need to for maximum flavor. Next we did a round fo dumplings. Obviously we had the pork soup dumplings which were fantastic. I wanted to get more, but we had also ordered the sichuan chili wonton and the pan seared pork dumpling. While I enjoyed both of these, I would probably try some of the others on the menu next time. We finished with two entrees. One was the udon noodles with chicken and the other was the beef and broccoli. I love udon noodles for their bouncy texture and this portion was plentiful. The beef and broccoli was so tender and delicious. This would also be a must order item and make sure to get a side of white rice to go with it. While the robot didn't come anywhere near our table, the human servers were all amazing and made sure we had everything we need at a moments notice. They really run a tight ship here and can turn tables while providing excellent service all at once. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

You can always grab a bite here and then head next door for some live jazz! That being said, the food was phenomenal. Everything is unapologetically spicy, so be prepared! We had the biang biang noodles, the lamb dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and the fried green beans. Everything was delicious but my favorite were the Biang Biang noodles. Honestly wish I had discovered this spot a day earlier as there were probably 6 other items that I wanted to try! lol I'd highly recommend it if you're in town.

The ambiance is very charming, making it a great spot for a casual yet elevated dinner. The Drink: We tried the traditional infused Baijiu for the first time. It's a concentrated liquor that packs a serious punch! It's served in a vessel smaller than a shot glass and meant to be sipped. One of the staff members shared the history and craft behind it, which made the experience feel like a genuine cultural exchange The Food: The Hot and Sour Mushrooms are the unsung heroes of the menu. They were earthy, tangy, and the perfect palate cleanser between bites of the fiery Cumin Lamb Noodles. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!

Upon entering you will notice the VERY clean floors. The lady behind the counter did a great job explaining the difference between Chow Mein, Chow Fun and Lo Mein. I went with the Schezuan Chicken with Onion fried rice. We also got chicken Lo Mein and Sesame Chicken. They cook the food to order so you can tell them how spicy you like like it. They were pretty accurate with how long it would take and it was ready after we took a short visit to the supermarket. There are maybe like 8 spots for people to sit down and dine. It is definitely more of a takeout spot than a dine in spot. My cousin used the restroom and raved about how clean it was. I'm guessing that this may be the best Chinese Food spot in rural South Carolina!! My cousin and I gobbled our food down in the car and enjoyed it very much!! If I'm ever back in the area, I'd certainly return! Again, my five star rating is not that it is the best restaurant in the world. Rather, it is because it is the great at what it is supposed to be - a quick service, Chinese, take out spot!!
