I found Lam's Garden when I moved to Goose Creek years ago and while living in the area we would order food from them on a regular basis. It's one of the only restaurants that I have found to be consistent with their food. It is absolutely delicious each and every time. Awesome food but terrible service and apathetic owners. Online Delivery orders take 2 plus hours to deliver and you never get your sweet and sour sauce. Very disappointed!!!! Things were getting better when an older gentleman was delivering for them. We usually order 1-2 times per month since moving to Goose Creek 2 years ago but it's becoming more and more challenging to deal with incomplete orders and long delivery times. Today at 5pm, I ordered the Shrimp and Snow peas for me and the Sweet and Sour Chicken for my husband. Everything came but the sauce that makes the dish!!!. Our delivery came about 6:30pm...immediately my husband noticed that his sauce was not in the bag, he runs to the front door and the driver was gone. We called 3 times in the past hour asking for his sauce and nothing yet. His food is cold and they will not replace his dinner for their mistake! I am no longer supporting this business and it's sad because Goose Creek is in need of Restaurants. Lam's Garden's lack of responsibility (every order that's wrong we are told we are getting 10% off our next order and they never apply it. It is now 7:35pm. I am so done! All I can say is YES! Absolutely amazing. The staff is incredibly kind, I cannot stress that enough. And the food is was delicious, all around. Not only great tasting, but terrific portions as well. Just the dumplings alone were huge! Twice the size of an average dumpling. Also, rice was exquisite. We've had ordered from Lam's Garden before and it wasn't all that. But with the current situation with all the closing of business's and etc, I wanted to help out these restaurants, but also I LOVE CHINESE Food!!! So takeout or delivery were the options. I called them after I left work (west Ashley) to place my order. So the first time we ordered sweet and sour chicken (good), general Tsos chicken (good), and shrimp with garlic sauce (good but not spicy). Everything tasted good and we weren't disappointed. The second time I placed another carry out order, I ordered beef with broccoli (awesome), egg foo young shrimp( loved it) and sweet and sour chicken ( good). So twice they didn't disappoint. Reliable Chinese food. Not great but they bring it to you. The Singapore Mei Fun, Orange Chicken, and Beef Lo Mein are always good. Edit: I failed to mention the lumpia. Order it! It's like a delicate fried Philly Cheesesteak. It will blow your mind. You want 10. I want 30. I have to add a star to this review for the lumpia! It is the star of this restaurant. The dumplings and sauce are also always decent, I have only gotten watery sauce from them once in about 2000 orders. Nice delivery people, food always hot as hell. I've ordered from this place quite a few times. The food is always great. I ordered on line and once the food arrived incorrect. I called and they replaced the order correctly. The drivers are extremely pleasant, though delivery does take a bit of time. It is one of my favorite places to order from. The lunch specials are filling with plenty of extras and space to add items to your dish such as eggs to the rice. I love the egg foo young, vegetable fried rice with fresh mushrooms and broccoli! Worst experience ever. The delivery driver was super nice but the food is another story. I placed my order and over an hour and a half later it showed up. They forgot the soy sauce, hot mustard, sweet and sour and my drink to start and when I called was told it's be over half an hour before someone would bring it to me. On a Monday... I tried a bite of my fried shrimp while waiting only to be faced with a nasty black poop chute in the shrimp. When I called to tell them, the girl said "oh we don't clean our shrimp here".. what restaurant doesn't clean shrimp before cooking it? Gross. The rice was on the hard side and the chow neon was mediocre at best. I've never been so disappointed in a Chinese restaurant and will never EVER be returning. There are too many good places to eat around Charleston to be wasting your time with terrible restaurants like this. Want fast Chinese? Go to Panda Express, at least they clean their shrimp. Your typical take out Chinese restaurant. They do crab (or Krab!) Rangoon very well and its one of my wife's favorite Chinese places for strictly the rangoon. I am the one who gets the chicken dishes and it is not my favorite. The General Tso's has an incredible amount of breading and fat on the chicken pieces although the flavor of the dish is what you would expect. This place is right on par with a typical take out joint but is one of my last choices in the area. read more

Awesome food!! And you can order online.. win win :-) The steamed or fried dumplings are amazing. The fried rice is always perfect! I don't think I've had anything I didn't like so far. My kids love the Chicken Lo Mein. We haven't been inside the restaurant. The delivery is always quick and they've never got our order wrong. The delivery drivers usually have to call the main store to run the credit or debit card, even after you've paid online. They don't charge twice, just something seems to get messed up during that online ordering payment process. The delivery drivers are always incredibly sweet and very apologetic, even though it's not at all their fault. I only give it 4 stars because it'd be nice if that part could get worked out in the near future. Don't let that small detail hold you back though! It's still worth it!! read more

Call to place a order at 7:59pm. At 9:00pm my order still was not receive. I call the location and Kayla stated that the driver and herself text me about my order. I never receive a text message in regards to my order. Which being a professional business a call should have been sent out. Kayla then inform me that the driver now has to go to four other houses before me. Never did she apologize about the situation. I will just stick with my regular place I order from. I came to order with my friend and of course due to the current situation we are under with the virus, we were told their lobby was closed and we could call and they would bring the food to our car. We called and were greeted very rudely and the employee who picked up the phone kept interrupting me when I asked her if she could repeat the order to me and I tried to correct her on something she got wrong on my order and she did not listen to me anyway. I wanted to leave them with my 66$ order and just cook at home but I'm really hungry and tired. Order rice noodle but received wheat noodles extremely allergic to wheat was sick from the food explain to the manager and his response was "I'm not sure what made you sick but we use the same noodles every time". Their delivery takes too long, it is true that the food ends up coming home warm but lately it hasn't been tasting good.

Ordered online and put a pick up time of 8:15 because I didn't get off work til 8:00. They called me at 8 and said my food had been ready since 6:30 and thought I had forgotten I ordered. I told them I put in a pick up time of 8:15 and she said I didnt. I got there to pick it up, showed my email confirmation and asked how long my food had sat there. The guy said "Like 5 minutes". Okay, I'm a little over enthused because I just had lo mein and spring rolls for the first time ever and I'm wondering why nobody told me how delicious it is?! So, so good! Great food, I am always ordering the hot and sour soup and either beef and broccoli or chicken in garlic sauce. My wife always gets chicken fried rice and some other items. Food tastes wonderful. Gets delivered quickly and is usually hot to at least still warm. Only issue is it always causes my wife to feel sick afterwords tho that may just be her sensitive stomach to greese and other fried foods but it happens every time we have tried here. I have eaten 3 or 4 times and only once was my stomach effected by the crab meat lo mein. Still I will eat there again :) read more
