Came here with my buddy after a rip rip sesh. Liked the vibe in here a lot. Still like them and it's the (morning after). First thing I'll say - if you like funnel cake, get the coconut chicken. Our Christmas tradition is eating Chinese food. I searched for a good place online and this location came up. Ordered the food, along with it being repeated back to me to be sure it was right. We did not receive the correct food. Paid for pricier options only to come home and find out we had items we didn't order, that cost less. Since it was a 30 min drive to get the food, we decided to just eat it. The food itself was subpar. The chicken tasted like boiled chicken that was shredded and thrown in last min. No flavor at all. This is my favorite fast Chinese food near James Island. They are closed on Saturdays, which is sad, but we really like going when we can. There's always a kid watching TV in the front which means you know its going to be yummy! We like the general too and the orange chicken the best. The sesame is good, but pretty sweet. The white rice is a good sticky consistency which I like. I prefer the noodles to the friend rice in regards to flavor. We've never seen anyone else sit inside and eat, but we usually do. Decent little Chinese place near Folly Beach. Typical menu you see at every Chinese to-go restaurant. They had fans going and the front door open; no A/C it seemed. Expect to pay under $10 per person, which in today's world is hard to find outside of fast food joints. Food was about the same as you'd find at these places; good food, not great. I had the sesame chicken with pork fried rice, egg roll and spring roll. The egg roll and soda were $2 extra. After getting my food I went back to the counter to ask for a little sweet & sour sauce for the rolls. Usually I'd dip them in the sesame sauce, but the sauce was a little light. The lady running the place was cooking so she sent her six-year-old (give or take) daughter up to help me. She was not a happy camper! She asked why I wanted it. I said I was just asking for a small amount for the egg and spring rolls. I know they keep it in the back ready to go, so not a big ask. She looked at my food and said "your meal doesn't come with sweet & sour" and then told me it would be $1. I told her never mind and went back to my table. A couple minutes later her mother brought me a small cup of sweet & sour (nice save). I guess customer service isn't dead...unless you're expecting it from a six year old kid who'd rather be playing than helping her mother at work! read more

We ate here while we were staying on Folly. It's only a five minute drive and it has classic Chinese food. We originally got it as an easy meal upon arriving at our vacation, but were so impressed, we are here again on the third night, over all the other closer restaurants on folly. We got the general tso chicken, pad Thai, shrimp rolls and some other noodle dishes. They were all fantastic and even the kids loved everything. One thing to note, is that all the dishes we got were pretty spicy, which is good for us, but the kids we're having a tough time. If you can't stand spicy make sure to especially ask. read more

This is the best shitty Chinese food on James Island. 5 stars if I have to compare it to the other ones around town. When we moved from st louis 7 years ago we tried all of the to go Chinese shops on James Island and this is the best of them. It's "hung over" food or "can't bring myself to cook" type of place. I was presently surprised at the quality of food for a takeout restaurant. I ordered shrimp and garlic sauce. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. We also had sesame chicken and the chicken was tender. Honestly very picky about Chinese takeout because esssentially all of them have pretty much the same menu but it's the way each dish is made that makes it or breaks it. Evverything is done so well the beef is not super chewy like a lot of places the crab rangoons are done perfectly, the service is always great they're so freaking polite and the mom and pops feel is definitely an energy like no other. When we found ourselves craving some Chinese takeout, I decided to try Pan Garden based on the good reviews. It did not disappoint and as others have noted, the food is delicious, tastes fresh and was prepared on the spot. Singapore Mei Fun was delicious and the chicken with mixed veg was light and not overly salted or cooked. A young husband and wife run the operation and their charming children were there peppering them with questions, while mom was giving me my order. I hope they stick around but I think they will as they're perfectly located midway to Folly beach and next to Harris Teeter so you can pick up groceries etc while you wait. What a great place. I typically frequent another local establishment, but they close on Sunday and I wanted hangover food. I was surprised to walk in and see a very young girl behind the counter to greet me and ring up my order (like 8yo young). She was very polite, and got everything put together quickly while mom n dad were cooking up a storm. I LOVED IT, seeing a family work together like that. The food was fantastic, and that's not just the hangover talking. Portion size was great and the price was fair as well. I will be going back soon. read more
