RUN! Go online and read the reviews... After they replaced 15 windows, the first hurricane came leaving me with $12,000 in damages. While two employees said there was an error in install, they said they were not responsible for damages. (I had four other contractors tell me they did not measure windows correctly- but they say differently). Pella's installer used warped wood for the trim and used wood and caulk on the outside that just ruined in Houston weather - when the contract called for AZEK. (There were other issues I won't get into). All my other windows installed by my remodeler four years earlier are fine. I used Pella because they were supposed to be the best. They are NOT.... I am now replacing all of their windows (after six years) and cannot wait to throw them in the trash where they belong. If you do use them - READ THE CONTRACT. DO NOT agree to Arbitration or the Class Action clause. Get educated BEFORE spending money with them. I did so after and regret it - $28,000 later + $12,000 in damages. Use a contractor or a local company who answers the phone and have to provide good customer service to survive. read more

I am blown away by everything Pella does and stands for, start to finish. We wanted to modify an existing exterior window into a sliding patio door and talked to several people about the job- most of whom made it sound daunting and more difficult than I thought it should be. Then Fernando from Pella came and sat with me in my kitchen for an hour or so really talking me through my options, and choosing this company was a no-brainer. Financing and scheduling was easy, and install was faster than I anticipated. I can't tell you how happy I am! Everything looks perfect, the door looks like it's always been here, and I swear my home is cleaner now than when the guys got here! The stain matches my existing trim perfectly. read more

I am very impressed with our Pella Houston salesperson and the quality of the windows. I was less impressed with the installer contractor that Pella used. The contractor removed the glass in my old windows by shattering the glass with hammers. As a result my front and back yards were covered with broken glass which the contractor partially removed. For many months I have been picking up many small pieces of glass from my back and back yards. When I mentioned this problem to a Pella representative she stated that Pella Houston no longer uses that contractor. read more

I would never, ever, install Pella windows again. In 2004 we built a house and installed 45 Pella windows (double hung, wood with aluminum clad). Within ten years we started to experience wood rot. The seals on the aluminum cladding failed and allowed water to penetrate where it was trapped and rotted out the wood sash frame. We have replaced at least half of the sashes and the cost is exorbitant. A recent quote from Pella was $650 to $3,500 per sash, just to buy them. Delivery and installation costs extra. The process of obtaining replacement sashes is ridiculous. Pella requires a serial number, and has no record of it from the original order nor previous replacements. They require measurements for which they also do not keep records. They require photos because apparently they have no idea what the windows they manufacture look like. Once you have jumped though those hoops they will take 3 weeks to get you a quote. Once you've accepted and paid they will take two to three months to manufacture the sashes. So it takes roughly four months, during which time, your existing sash is allowing water to penetrate the frame around your sash and is ruining the entire window. So yeah, overall just a miserable and expensive experience. read more

I have replaced all of the windows in my home with Pella Windows. They are much more energy efficient and easy to operate than my original windows. As far as style, they have completely transformed my home. My new windows have become the "wow" factor that everyone notices when they come over. They have also helped with sound reduction. As a homeowner and since Pella windows were installed in my new TH ( all of 34 windows) I only had problems from day one. Constantly we had to replace windows beause of leaks. Pella is not made for Houston Humid weather. HUGE MISTAKE. ONE advice; Stay awy from Pella. Plus, follow up service is unreliable and lousy . It is impossible to trust Pella's Service . They always find a reason to not repair under warranty and coming up with excuses. Sadly I regret my Pella decuision which had cost me thousands when purchased and all services. read more

I am writing this review as a general contractor. This review is directed to the two delivery personnel. Byron and Roy were early; They alerted me approximately 30 minutes before arrival. Upon arrival I notified them that I unfortunately did not have a crew to unload the 150 windows that were being delivered. Byron and Roy didn't even bat an eye! They jumped directly into action and began unloading the windows! They were quick, efficient, and very professional. I would welcome them and their team back to my jobsites any time! *** Pella*** Whatever you can do to recognize them, please do it! Pay raises, bonuses, recognition, etc! Braden and Roy are worth it! I signed contract with Pella Rep in May 2025 it is now 6/27/25. On today 6/27/25 Pella contractors was scheduled to come and replace my front door and French doors between 9-11am. It is now 11:45 am. First of all I had to call to Pella to check when was anyone going to call me to give me a schedule date, because 3 weeks had passed and no called. I have called them 3 times this morning to see if anyone is coming out. I called Corporate office to speak with a manager and of course no one answered left message and within seconds (Rep) calls and give me an excuse that she called but the call didn't go through. Bottom line they are not coming today and Rep's vocal intonation was not apologetic at all more like it was no big deal voice. So if I had not called I would have been sitting here waiting on them. I have issues before the installation I'm really nervous. Hopefully the installers know what they are doing, and I won't have to recall them with any problems. It was reschedule on Monday, July 21, 2025 I will give an updated on this (Hopefully they will call me before date and confirm the schedule date is on) Customer Service sucks they are not professional and they don't care about the customers at all. I wish I would have read the reviews before I paid the deposit. I pray that I will be able to give them 4 stars on July 21, 2025......I'll keep you posted read more

So far I'm going on almost 3 months of waiting on doors that where supposed to take max 4 weeks. Its a constant blame on manufacturing and I've yet to get a call from management. I was clear from the beginning that I had to place my home up for rent because I would be closing on another home. Now I'm stuck paying two house notes because of their delay and lack of communication. I have asked for a refund and I haven't received a clear answer. Every manager seems to be too busy to reach out. I need some type of action to take place. I need my refund. read more

Had a crack in a upper Sash of a double hung window. So I went on their online store, and ordered a replacement. The next day, I checked to see if it would fit my older series window, and it would not. They said no problem, they would cancel, and get me the right one. They needed information like sizes, etched serial number on glass, etc. I also ordered a seal for one of my doors. I said will that seal be sent or cancelled, they said order it again, because the whole ordered was cancelled. A few weeks later, 2 seals show up, then the Sash. I compared the Sash to the old one, and totally different. I called up, and that is when the problems began. They said I ordered 2 seals and could not be returned, and the Sash was rapidly produced, so I could not return that. What? one day, and you said it was cancelled? Then the one they sent was not complete, it was missing provisions for the cam locks. So I said, since I have to eat this Sash, I want it right, so I can sell it. So I tried to send back, so it could be completed, and they said it was right, and they would do nothing. I have never had such a problem with a large company before. So much money spent on windows and doors, and zero support afterwards. I would definitely go to a another manufacturer. read more

We had windows replaced in our home. We looked at several different companies to do the work. Pella was not the most expensive, but they certainly were not inexpensive. The project went great. We have had our windows for about a month and can't say enough good things about the entire project. We would definitely recommend Pella to anyone who is replacing windows. read more

Already replaced 11 of my 34 windows with Pella. I specifically asked if the Almond color was a standard color and would always be available in the fiberglass windows. I was assured that it would be. Being a national company, I decided to go with them. Shortly after a few of the windows were replaced... I was informed that Almond was discontinued and would not be offered again in the future. Here I am 1/3 of the way through replacing all my windows... and I would have to choose another color (such as white). The original color of my windows is Almond. I don't want mismatched windows in my house. I also worry if one of the existing 11 ever gets damaged... that I will have a similar problem then. This is not what I would expect from this company. These are expensive to begin with. Now I am faced with having mismatched (either color or a different brand) windows in my house or having to replace windows that I just bought from them with a different brand or style. read more

Jaime did an excellent job replacing a sash on one of my Pella windows. He also replaced the rollers on my sliding glass door. The door has never been so smooth when opening. I am thrilled! If no stars was an option, that would be what I would choose. After excellent service early on, that has soon turned very sour. My sliding patio door has been falling apart for well over a year. I had an initial visit, which was to be followed up with a quote to fix... never received. Many months later I followed up, another visit was required since there were no discoverable notes. It took 3 MONTHS to get another appointment. Finally, when they were able to come back, more damage was noticed as the door is falling deeper into repair issues. Also promised a quote at that time. Never received quote the second time. I call again, this time I was told that I would be called within a week to get resolution. Cut to a month later, still no call. So I call AGAIN, at which point I was told that the notes didn't exist and it would take a few weeks for them to resolve a "communication issue". Meanwhile my door is ROTTING in place. This is a very expensive system that could have been repaired long ago, and now the problems are INCREASING due to negligence by Pella of Houston. I am a paying customer - happy to spend what I need to in order to have a properly functioning door and sealed home, but at this point, I am likely going to have to move to a full replacement for negligence by Pella. Exceptionally disappointed and will not recommend to my contacts in the architectural and construction community. read more

We shopped several suppliers for windows for a major remodel. In the end we decided to go with Pella for our vinyl windows. Our salesman Tom was extremely patient, professional and courteous. The extra time he spent to get various samples to us and to go over the order until we were satisfied with all selections and changes is really appreciated. read more

Ordered a new front door and sidelights on July 28th. They scheduled my installation for September 21st. Two days before installation, I received an email letting me know that the door hadn't yet come in, and they needed to reschedule. The soonest they could get me down for was late October. So I waited another four weeks. The installers showed up, and unboxed a door with the wrong color threshold. The sales rep I had placed my order though acknowledged the error but tried to convince me to let them put the door in anyway and paint the threshold black. I said I wasn't comfortable with painted metal being in such a high traffic area, because it seemed like the paint would wear off very quickly. He responded that even the black thresholds that they order correctly are painted black in the factory, rather than being anodized aluminum (which is much more durable). I was disappointed to find out that they don't use higher quality materials (I know from experience what happens to painted metal over time!) but responded that I at least want the factory finish paint job if it must be painted, vs. a post-installation paint job using who knows what kind of paint. Figured I'd wait another couple of weeks and at least get what I ordered, finally. Nope. They put me on the schedule for December 13th (almost two months later), and after waiting all that time, THE MORNING OF the day the were supposed to install it, they emailed me to let me know they NEVER ORDERED A NEW DOOR and would need to reschedule the installation AGAIN. At that point I texted my sales rep, Fernando, and told him I would like to cancel the contract and get my deposit back, because I didn't want to risk a fourth delay. HE NEVER SAID A WORD BACK. Just didn't bother to respond at all. I finally reached a manager named Matthew who was the first person at Pella who handled the situation in a moderately professional way. He offered me the first sincere apology for my experience that anyone had given me throughout the ordeal. But he was either unable or unwilling to offer me the door I ordered at enough of a discount to make up for how much of my time they had wasted. He's in the process of cancelling the contract now. Which means I invested almost 5 months into this project and ended up with nothing. It's unfortunate that no one at Pella tried to make things right, and I would caution anyone to avoid them if they value their time. read more

Completely overrated windows. Still feel immense cold coming through despite assurances it wouldn't happen. I have no doubt we will have to deal with heat once summer rolls around. Fiberglass windows are better than the plastic/vinyl garbage out there but still nowhere near who we should have gone with. Renewal by Andersen's windows were the best we ever saw tested. Our mistake for trying to save a few dollars. Now we know. read more

Pella has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. We ordered windows for our new build October of 2021 and were given a delivery date of March 17, 2022. Started work on the house and were ready for windows by the 17th. Pella called us the day before and told us the windows were not in and they needed another 10 days before they could deliver. When the windows were delivered, we were missing 3 windows and they did not deliver nail fins (you cannot install windows without these). Pella promised The remaining windows and nail fins would be delivered by April 18, and they showed up a week late. Nail fins were not delivered, but were promised on May 5. May 5th comes, no nail fins. At this point Pella has stopped all communication, no returned e-mails, calls, nobody would answer a phone. We left many messages that all went ignored. I was finally so fed up that I drove to the business (2.5hr drive) to try to talk to someone. When I met Kara, our salesperson, I asked why she stopped returning phone calls and where our nail fins were. At this point we are 2 months delayed. Her response? "Oh, they're in our warehouse if you want them." HOW ANNOYING!!! I drove around to the warehouse and loaded them in my car. The delivery date on the box said Pella received my nail fins on April 21. The nail fins had been sitting in the warehouse for THREE weeks. Who knows how long they would have sat there had I not driven down to find out what was going on. Not one "I'm sorry" "our mistake" NOTHING! Horrible. I will never use Pella again. read more
