My how times have changed in the Cadillac service department. Three weeks ago I took my 2008 Cadillac SRX in to install a new instrument panel since my lights went out on my dash. Since this is an older model (no longer make parts for this classic) they replaced it with a used part from the "junk" yard with only a 90 day guarantee. In repairing the dash they broke part of my classic dash and had to shop around for repair pairs to fix the damage they caused. It's been three weeks and they finally found a part a week ago in Indiana, and I am still waiting for the part and completion of the service. It makes you wonder whether keeping your "classic car" is beneficial considering the wait time for parts, service and repair. Gee, I long for the good old fashion service days when repair was much simpler.

Two months later, the weather dipped into below zero temps, we smelled gas fumes and the smell only appears when you're warming up the car and when it's really cold. Found out, Willis did not run the VIN number or fix the recall on it and will not work with us to our satisfaction. After 2 months, Willis told us the car depreciated $6500 which is 1/3 of what we initially financed since we now have to eat that money. We went across the street to Mercedes to fix the recall issue. Obviously, Willis did not complete a multi-point inspection on this used vehicle as they initially stated. I just found out $2000 more needs to be done to this car to pass inspection. I believe Willis knew this car had issues which was not disclosed, and passed it off to the next unsuspecting customer. We were told Mike Thomas would call my husband to discuss further. That was 2 weeks ago. They are no longer a reputable company if they continue to treat their customers with disrespect and lack of integrity. Since Mike doesn't feel necessary to speak to us, we just went to a competitor of theirs and purchased a new vehicle for our daughter. I will not return to Willis due to their poor customer service.

Steve came highly recommended by our friends, Jim and Darcey Widmann, and now we know why. After shopping all over Des Moines for a truck, we encountered dealerships that either patronized us, hassled us, or made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. Some even tried to convince us that we couldn't get what we wanted. But when we walked into Toyota of Des Moines, it was a completely different experience. From the moment we were greeted, we felt welcomed and respected. Steve allowed us to choose the vehicle we wanted without any hassle. Every incentive was explained upfront, and the level of transparency was refreshing. What truly set them apart was their willingness to meet our needs on the trade-in. We were told by a Ford dealer (who originally sold us the Bronco) that we could never get the trade-in value we wanted, but Toyota gave us exactly what we asked for--no questions asked. Steve and the entire team at Toyota of Des Moines worked with urgency, respect, and professionalism to finalize the deal in a way that left us completely satisfied. This level of customer care and attention to our needs is what made us feel valued. Toyota of Des Moines embodies what it means to be a true car dealership. We are now proud Toyota brand loyalists and look forward to a lifetime of Toyota ownership, provided the company continues to deliver on its promise of quality in both manufacturing and sales. If you're out there shopping for a vehicle and struggling to find a dealership that truly listens and puts the customer first, look no further than Toyota of Des Moines. Thank you, Steve Henigan, and the entire team--you have earned our loyalty!

I stopped in to pick it up around 3:30 earlier this week. I appreciated his effort to make things right. Unfortunately, my experience at the cashier counter was not as polite. When I came in to pick up the loaner, the cashier (the woman with darker hair whose desk sits against the back wall) was rude. I thanked her for helping get a temporary solution in place. She made a point to tell me that the vehicle had been pulled from another customer to be given to me. Her tone made it seem as though I had demanded to take a car from someone else, which was not the case. I was told I was receiving an "emergency loaner," and I had no knowledge it was originally set aside for anyone else. If there was an internal issue or last-minute adjustment, that is not something a customer should be made to feel guilty about. I understand that end of day situations can be stressful, and I even considered that she may have just been having a bad day. However, speaking down to a customer and placing blame on them for an internal decision is inappropriate. I should have addressed it with a manager while I was there, but I chose to reflect on it first. Again, the advisor's service was excellent, the interaction at the cashier counter, unfortunately, was not. I was hesitant to leave a review as I have never left one before and I would like to believe she was just having a bad day, but I have not yet returned the loaner as my vehicle still is not completed. I should not have left feeling guilty about taking a vehicle that was offered to me and for keeping it longer than expected. It is unfortunate that I felt the need to create an account to leave a review, that's how much this interaction has bothered me. I hope something was lined up for the other customer who is also without a vehicle. I was hoping me taking this would've been an overnight fix.

We purchased a $4000+ warranty with the vehicle but the only item they will cover is the oil leak. Not sure how I feel about the "certified" vehicle any longer. I feel they should have taken care of the shocks within such a short amount of miles driven? Live and learn. On a high note the staff is very nice and friendly. I am hoping the financing/sales team with set this straight with the shock. Seems it is out of the hands of service team. The Expedition is in the shop at this time. They did fix some items on this vehicle a few days after we purchased it after we pointed them out so that was good. Best of luck if you purchase a certified vehicle. I suggest you take it to another shop within 3 months to have everything looked over and catch these things early. We didn't and are now paying the price. Maybe you will have better luck.

When I approved the estimate, they called me to let me know I could bring it in so they could start repairs. One of the most obvious things that needed to be replaced was the grill, we had hit a deer, oddly enough the grill was on backorder and was the last thing they were waiting on to complete the repairs.

We found a car, a 2008 Ford Escape at another dealership for $7000 that was a year newer than what what we had to trade. Kia offered us a 2012 Ford Escape that had everything I would hope for in the next car I would own. It was $13,500. It was more or less accepting where we were in life and settle for the old car or strive for a life where we would feel comfortable driving a car such as we purchased from Kia. The experience was one of optimism or failure for us and buying from KIA allowed us to gain confidence to face the future in a sensible, realistic way. The payment will be managable to our ability to pay and I think my wife will be pleased to drive this car to a good job once she finds the one that fits her abilities. This isn't much of an endorsement for KIA itself, but as a decision to work for what we want and we are glad to have that option in our lives. At the time, I was rebuilding my credit, my vehicle couldn't wait that process out, though. I needed a vehicle, and tried multiple places with no one willing to work with me. I walked into Deery with low expectations. I told them what I needed and what my situation was up front. I filled out some paperwork after selecting a vehicle at the suggestion of the salesman (this isn't bad. He listened and his suggestion was perfect and in-budget!), and left thinking, "well, nice thought, probably a waste of time". I got a call the next day. He said "We got you approved! Come pick your car up!". I was amazed. No one else was willing to do anything for me. Not any small dealers, not any other big ones. Deery was able to do it, and they did so without making me feel awkward about my situation or simply shuffling me out the door like the others. Which is good for them, as they're now my first choice now that my credit is great, and I have a bigger budget. Sucks to be the guys that turned me down. When I asked about fixing the sunroof, I was told the $250 discount covered that and to take it to a Mercedes dealer if I wanted it working. Overall, it felt like we were doing them a favor by buying. The salesman didn't bother to figure out how to adjust the seats and acted like our time was up, quickly moving on to bigger buyers.
