A friend recommended Peluso's and we were glad he did. Our timing was bad - a walk-in group of about 30 arrived just before we did and the restaurant was staffed for a light-load Thursday night. The staff pulled together and managed to get us all fed and feel taken care of, although probably not as quickly as they would have liked. We had a couple of pizzas, one of which was the house special (think supreme on steroids) on thin crust. Could very well be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Crust just right and literally overflowing with everything. Would order it again today. And tomorrow. And be thinking about it again in three days. And the prices were very good! Gonna bring my ground 30 back - but I have warned them and they'll be staffed and ready. Looking forward to it! read more

My wife and I have not been here for years. We wanted some Italian food and were in the area so we stopped in. Not crowded, one other group was there. Had not changed from what I recalled. Wife got rainbow tortellini, Mom got spaghetti and daughter and I got hoagies. Not a fast food place, a good 30 minute wait for the food. It was hot out of the oven when it arrived. Food was okay, pretty good overall. It all tasted fine, no complaints but just not spectacular or anything. The pasta dishes came with a little salad and a cup of soup. Upon walking into the establishment, the first thoughts were dark, gloomy, and unpleasant smells. There was no one at the register to talk to us or greet us, and one lady was working with another couple working with their order I believe we stood there, waiting for someone to come talk to us for a few minutes. When we finally were able to get spoken to the lady rudely asked, what do we want? I stated in return we are here for a pick up order. She then said how dare you use Grubhub if you just call it's actually cheaper I responded thank you for the future advice. We're just here to pick up our order, we got our order and opened it to see if the items were correct, which they were. We tried a slice of the spinach tomato pizza first, the crust was almost nonexistent and completely hard and brittle. It fell off part in the little flakes as soon as you picked up a slice, the pizza was cold, and the worst part of it all it smells sour like it was made with rotten cheese, or something was definitely spoiled on the pizza. It even tasted sour. The pizza was cold as you can tell none of the cheese polled it just clump together and fell off the pizza crust. The half-and-half pizza was pretty decent, but the same issues of the crust being so thin and brittle it could hardly be eaten as well as being cold, but that particular pizza did not smell, sour or taste as sour as the other pizza, the garlic cheese bread was very bland and the sauce that came with. It was absolutely god awful. The two stars of this place was the desserts we ordered. The plain cheesecake was amazingly flavored, but for the price it was absolutely tiny. The lemonade pie was amazing flavor. However, the crust was so hard it literally broke the plastic forks you couldn't stab into it, we paid as much as you would for a steak dinner somewhere for two kindergarten rated pizzas and two mediocre desserts. I was looking for a neighborhood Italian restaurant for quick pasta. Peluso's was an average find. Since I only had pasta and salad that is all I will speak to this go around. The meat sauce had a great flavor. If you are not a fan of ricotta, this is the place to go..:they don't use it in their lasagna. The salad was basic but relatively fresh. We came on a Tuesday night and the place was not busy. However, even though two staff members were standing right there, we were never greeted nor sat at a table. After standing there for a few minutes, we ended up just sitting down at a table. After sitting at the table for a while, a waiter came over and dropped off a menu. Still sitting there, no one came over to get our drink order or even acknowledge that we were sitting there. After I heard the waiter tell the kitchen staff to put the meatballs back in the microwave and add cheese- we were done. We ended up walking out without anyone acknowledging us still to this point. Again, there was about 3 seated tables and no one else waiting. We didn't get to try the food so I can't speak on that, but we don't plan on being back. read more

Past by this establishment many times and always thought about giving it a try. Today I got the chicken parmesan, soup, and salad. The red meat sauce used for the chicken parmesan is very bland, maybe even straight out of a can with loads of oregano seasoning. I asked for chicken noodle soup but received a veggie noodle kind with grease and seasoning floating at the top! I did not try it, the look of it was enough for me. For almost 6 years, my wife and I have been driving by this restaurant and commenting that we needed to try it. Well, we finally did and we are sorry we hadn't tried this gem earlier! My wife had the Manicotti and I had the large Lasagna. The meal came with soup, salad, bread along with the entre'. We both had the chicken noodle soup, served piping hot and it was delicious! My wife enjoyed her Manacotti and could not finish it all. There was four on the plate covered with marinara sauce and topped with cheese. Likewise the Lasagna was exquisite! Not dry like a lot of restaurant lasagna. The service was attentive, while remaining unobtrusive! My wife ordered the plain cheesecake for desert and said it was good. My stomach was too full to confirm her assessment. In fact, the only complaint voiced by both of us regarded the lack of tomato in the salad! This place is an absolute gem tucked in the corner of a crowded shopping center, with plenty of parking, friendly attentive staff and GREAT food at a reasonable price. This food was just bad. I ordered deliver through WaitR. Delivery was quick and the WaitR driver was great. But the food was awful. I ordered rainbow tortellini, which comes with soup, salad, and garlic bread, a coke zero, and a cannoli. The soup looked and tasted like it was the oof brand of campbell's in a can, super watery, the very few vegetables were mushy, and it was bland. The salad was just lettuce and a few shredded carrots, so it was fine, but the ranch dressing tasted like cheap bottled dressing, a little sour. The garlic bread tasted slightly burnt. The tortellini looked and tasted like it was frozen and heated in the microwave with a generic spaghetti sauce and ground beef thrown on top, and a little cheese melted over it. The cannoli was thrown away after one bite, and I LOVE cannoli! It was way too hard, th she'll part tasted burnt, and the stuff inside tasted weird. Even the coke zero tasted watered down! I ordered take out from this restaurant, and after eating some of the food I have decided to write this review. I Ordered a pasta dish that had spaghetti, lasagna and some other type of pasta. The negatives were as follows the food had little to no flavor and the veggies in the spaghetti "green peppers" were not cooked and just thrown on top. The presentation what also poor at best. Positives were there was a large amount of food and it was ready within 20 minutes of playing the order. Finally I would not recommend the pasta if you plan to eat there. read more

I had been wanting fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and asked my daughter to bring some to my job for my lunch. The closest Italian was Peluso's. About 45 minutes later, she arrived with my lunch. In the salad container was a super small salad and in the center was a weird pile greasy herbs, oregano being the overwhelming scent. Disgusted, I took a snapshot, closed that container and went to the entree box. Instantly, my nose was overpowered again by the smell of oregano, and a mass of confusion thrown into a three-celled divided styrofoam container. There was a nice amount of chicken, but when I tasted a piece of it, the chicken was cold, and little seasoning flavor was noted except for the oregano. The white gunk on top can't be called a sauce, not if you can pick it up with your fork and it not flow through the tines, but just sits there. Goop. Thick, heavy, cold goop! The taste of their Alfredo stuff was as sad as its appearance. I didn't taste the pasta, nor did I bother to look at the soup. I bagged it back up, and a couple of hours later, went to return their meal and retrieve my daughter's money. When I arrived the cashier looked and acted more annoyed than concerned. I told her that I really wanted to enjoy it, but at first glance it did not look or smell appetizing, and that it was cold, even though they are a little less than 10 minutes from my job. (Side note: my daughter placed the order over the phone, was told it would be 10 minutes. When she got there, she waited for another 20 minutes, and because of a lack of communication among the staff, the order had been ready, and to apologize for their oversight in having her wait, they gave her some peanut butter dessert stuff.). I opened the salad for her, which had spilled over inside the container during the transport back to them, then I showed her the pasta, and the uneaten hard bread. The worker tells me that she has to call the manager to see what SHE wanted to do. (Uh, she has to give me my money back, duh!). She walked away, made the call, came back, wrote $10 on a slip and handed me $10. She half-heartedly apologized, and I left. I called my daughter to tell her I had her $10, and she stated, "Mom, I gave them $16.15. The pasta was $12.95, and to add chicken was $2.00." Still in the parking lot, I turned my car around, went back with the money in my hand. The worker really looked annoyed to see me again. I told her I wanted the full refund of $16.15, and she had the audacity to tell me her manager told her to give me $10 since I ate the salad. I told her I didn't touch as much as a tomato seed in that salad and that I had explained earlier to her that it fell over inside the container while traveling back to them. She huffed that she had to call her manager again. She then hands me $3.00. I told her, nope, full refund is $16.15. Oh boy!!! She is HOT, but hands the remaining money owed to me. In an apologetic, reasoning way, I told her that I don't like to complain, but I needed for them to make this right. ( I mean, it was Valentines Day, they could have been super busy (they weren't), etc. I could have probably accepted any excuse from her. I really didn't want hard feelings, and I wasn't trying to wreck her day. ) Instead of apologizing, she snarkily spewed, "Yeah, well okay! I'm busy now!" Shocked and taken aback, I told her that I have other things to do than to have to come back TWICE to get a refund for the substandard food which should be their specialty. Yes, I could have thrown the food away and vowed to never return, as $16 doesn't break us. However, my decision to take the time after a busy, long day to return to them and share my concerns was to give feedback about my experience. By my requiring the full refund was to remind them that if they don't want to experience losses from low traffic and the demands for refunds because of dissatisfaction in their product, then they have to ensure positive customer interactions and pride themselves in selling a quality product that fosters return visits and glowing recommendations. I guess that my situational inference was not received. The fact that she and the manager-via-telephone weren't even slightly more concerned with my satisfaction is very telling to me. I am ALL for supporting small businesses, because I don't want national and international chains to be our only option. I LOVE authentic restaurants, but honestly, Peluso's made me feel small and AS IF I DID something wrong. It has already been a few days since this occurred, and it still bothers me. Not impressed. First time I tried it I got pizza. Not a fan of the cracker-type crust. Recently went again as it was convenient and we got meatball subs. They are small for the price, and they slice the meatballs, so you have a small-ish meatball sub with not a lot of meat. Deorio's meatball subs and pizza are so much better! This place was a real let.down for my family and I. We were invited to eat there with friends and was told that the place was amazing for.just about any pasta dish. Well the first thing I noticed was that all of our dishes had overcooked pasta which was drowned in.sauces of different consistencies. It looked like something you would possibly of pre frozen a meal at home.and then zapped.it in the microwave for.a quick no.mess dinner. This is the ONLY Place for me to eat spaghetti. I love it. My family and I come here often the service is always great. The lunch special is also great and fresh gives you plenty of food for your money. I think it is great, the interior is very dated but its some kind of sports theme in the back dining area. read more

Best pizza in town; hands down. The crust is so thin and crispy and never greasy. And the toppings are not rationed. When you order "extra cheese", be prepared for a pound of it on your pizza. I would give this place a zero if I could. This is hands down the worst meal i've ever had, and I ate a candle on a dare once. When my boyfriend and I sat down, we had no expectations. We ordered a half pitcher of beer because it was a good price. The beer was completely flat, like they hadn't changed the keg since it was put there when the store was first opened. We got a cheese bread appetizer -- it was a quarter of a hoagie roll with cheese melted on it, cut into four tiny pieces. We both ordered pasta with alfredo sauce and it came with salads and minestrone soup. The salad could have been better but it's salad, what more could I ask for. The soup came to the table less than luke-warm and tasted like it came from a can. Once the entree came I was already disappointed, but I couldn't see how it could get any worse. Then I tried my pasta. Boy was I wrong about not getting any more disappointed - I'm almost positive that the sauce was made from a powder.
