I'm honestly still shocked by this experience. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by roaches at the door not just one, but multiple crawling around the entrance and across the floor. It immediately made the place feel extremely unsanitary. What made it worse was that employees noticed the roaches and did nothing. Some workers were on break just standing there, watching roaches crawl around, instead of addressing the issue. On top of that, staff handling food weren't wearing gloves, which is very concerning given the visible pest problem. Cleanliness and food safety should be a bare minimum for any restaurant, and this place completely missed the mark. I couldn't feel comfortable eating here at all. You feel like you're at home when you walk in...and the waitresses are so friendly and will make you feel at home even if you've never eaten there before. * Came on a Saturday night to pick up a large Deluxe pizza to go. This place was absolutely disgusting!! Today my friends and I went to lunch. The first thing I noticed was that the establishment was not very clean. I had ordered the spaghetti lunch special which also came with a side salad. The lettuce was very old. Then while they were "cooking" our food, I looked over and they literally were putting all the food in the microwave!!! I've been looking for good pizza that isn't from a chain. So I decided to order from here. The pizza reminded me of a Tony's frozen pizza with an overkill of Oregano. The crust was definitely. Or hand done or made in-house. I also ordered a hoagie. Definitely didn't expect it to be as small as it was, but it did taste pretty good. I X'd the mustard and added lettuce and tomato. The place looks dirty (splatter on walls, dirt on sills, grime on vents, empty fish tank, business paperwork on countertop) but displays a 100% Health Rating. The staff is quite friendly and the place is quaint; resembles something from a mafia movie. The pizza was spectacular! The salad seemed fresh but the minestrone soup tasted canned; salty & soggy ingredients. We got the Peluso's Pasta Platter which wasn't bad but also didn't have fresh ingredients. I have traveled all over the country and have not found a thin or thick crust pizza that is as good as Peluso's thin and crispy, slap yo momma down, just rockin' great pizza!!! Lou Malnati's in Chicago, has a deep dish pizza that uses a thin crust similar to this that pull up on the sides and put the deep dish ingredients in and it is easily the best in Chicago and that I've had. The pizza is the best! So, good. It's tastes good enough I order pizza to go... but, their downfall.. The inside. If it wasn't for the great pizza, it would be a no go. I get to go, because I'd rather not know what goes on, inside. If I sat inside, I would be too disturbed, to eat. I'm 42... been going since I was 5-10. Same everything! Booths and Menus have a sticky residue. Old everything. Stuff caked in dust, probably...never been touched. They even have old TVs (not mounted) on a high, make-shift triangle board shelf/ not, safe. Considering someone has to touch it to turn on or change channels (I don't think the kind with knobs use remotes.) Anyway... OLD, ancient old, no updates, not clean. That's what I mean... when I say... if inside dining area is that bad, I'm better off not knowing what the kitchen looks like. I have been here a few times now for dinner. This is a very cozy restaurant almost hidden away in the corner of a fairly large shopping center. While the dining area is small, the atmosphere is very welcoming. I have received excellent service and very good food every time I have enjoyed dinner here. Bread arrived cold. Salad was subpar with wilted lettuce and two tiny pieces of tomato but grossly enough the container of dressing was in my salad. Great way to get sick. I ordered minestrone soup but it was cold and greasy. The manacoti was slightly above room temperature and noodle portion was sticky and heavy. My mom order raveoli. Ugh. Never seen anything like it. Heavy handed with the herbs. The pasta is disgusting. It is sticky and heavy. The sauce was cold. Her salad was no better than mine. We paid close to $30 bucks to eat cold garlic bread and crackers. We decided to give this place a try again after a bad experience over a year ago. This trip confirmed why we hadn't been back in so long. Here are the details: The young lady who waited in us was not rude but, she certainly wasn't welcoming and nice either. We sat down and she took our drink orders and then stood there and stared at us and said "are you ready to order"? We said "can we have a minutes?" She came back and said are you ready to order now ? My wife asked if they "had calzone", her immediate reply was "no". I asked if they have Stromboli, again she snapped "no, is there anything else"? We settled on a chef salad, chicken parmesan, 10" pizza and an order of wings as an appetizer. Nothing came out at the same time so we watched my son eat, then my wife eat and I finished up the meal (of yeah, the appetizer aka: wings, came out in the middle). Chef Salad: it was ok and I guess we should have expected canned mushrooms and pizza ingredients but we didn't. The pizza was ok too but the ingredients are nearly as fresh as papa johns and that's sad because this is a small family restaurant. Chicken Parm: again, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. The sauce was some kind of pizza hybrid and the chicken was just a lump with melted cheese. Bottom line for us we will never come back. Got a large 4 topping pizza for my family to test out. I usually like thick crust and my wife likes thin crust. The toppings are pretty good, but the dough and sauce is where this pizza lost points with me. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good by any means. No flavor at all. The sauce is a little too runny to start with so when you pizza is cooked the crust in the middle remains a bit soggy even when the pizza is fully cooked. Pizza is oven baked and not a brick oven and for the style of pizza they are going for it should be brick oven. Overall I think you can get a $20 pizza of better quality at a few other pizza places in Columbus. I won't be going back, but it's still better then cici's or Little C. read more

I had been having a hankering for fresh spinach fettuccine with chicken and carbonara sauce, but just hadn't had the time to make it myself. I thought about an old Italian standard, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and asked my daughter to bring some to my job for my lunch. The closest Italian restaurant was Peluso's. About 45 minutes later, she arrived with my lunch. When I opened the salad container, the lettuce and tomato of this super small salad looked fresh enough, but in the center was a weird pile greasy herbs, oregano being the overwhelming scent. Disgusted at first sight, I took a snapshot, I closed that container and went to the entree box. I simply could not believe that any self-respecting restaurant would let anything leave their establishment looking like what I received. Instantly, my nose was overpowered again by the smell of excessive oregano, and what I saw was a mass of confusion thrown into a three-celled divided styrofoam container. There was a nice amount of chicken, I'll admit, but when I tasted a piece of it, the chicken was hardly warm, and little seasoning flavor was noted except for the oregano. The white gunk on top can't be called a sauce, not if you can pick it up with your fork and it not flow through the tines, but just sits there. Goop. Thick, heavy, cold goop! The taste of their Alfredo stuff was as sad as its appearance. I don't know what to even say about the pasta-didn't taste it, nor did I bother to look at the soup. Thoroughly disappointed, I bagged it back up, and noticed about a tablespoon or two of some liquid in the bottom of the bag, probably from that salad, so I added paper towel to absorb it, and a couple of hours later, went to return their meal and retrieve my daughter's money. read more

The food isn't bad but could be better. Pizza was fresh, hot and tasty with an adequate amount of toppings. Lasagna is good but dry for my taste. They only had two kinds of draft beer! TWO! Not somewhere I will be eating again. Was in a rush and this place happened to be in the same plaza I was in. I like to try new restaurants when possible so I thought I would give it a shot. The owner suggested the lunch menu. When my waitress arrived, nothing wrong with the waitress, the only choice of drinks were 2 types of soda or tea. I could have tap water or a bottle of water if I paid extra. I ordered a salad and 7" pizza with 2 toppings off of the lunch menu. My salad was approx 5 ounces and consisted of all lettuce with 3 pieces of a carrot that were no bigger than a piece of piece of fuzz. Serious! It was COVERED with at least a half cup of "dressing". The pizza crust was so thin that the edges were hard crispy but the middle was soft, not doughy, just soft. Very thin layer of sauce and cheese and the onions and mushrooms weren't even cooked. I believe you get what you pay for. In this case, it wasn't even worth the $9. Will not be eating there or suggesting anyone else to. read more

I truly feel sorry for anybody that would visit this restaurant. The lasagna that I ordered obviously was a microwave version that might have come out of an aluminum pan, that was previously frozen. The minestrone soup is definitely not made there on site my guess is it was made at a soup factory, as I could taste the familiar taste of canned soup. My dear waiters could not tell me if the blue cheese dressing was chunky or creamy I was told it was made right there obviously it was not. I believe that if anybody rates this over a quarter of a star has never eaten any decent food.
