I can not say enough good about Pelvic Sanity. Honestly, they have such an incredible team. From my first call and speaking to Carrie in the front office, I knew this was the place that would finally be able to help me. Carrie knows what she's talking about, and was able to give me all the information I needed (with zero pressure) to make the decision. Be warned that they do not take insurance, but they do provide a super bill. But to me, the experience and progress is completely worth every penny. My consultation was with Sharon, who immediately put me at ease with her warm and friendly personality. She explains everything in a way that makes it easy to understand, and not once have I felt uncomfortable, even with the very hands on therapy. Other places just wanted to do some biofeedback and send me on my way. Which I found out could actually worsen my condition! At Pelvic Sanity, I get a full hour each time with the doctor, and she targets every possible angle that could be causing my symptoms. I honestly am so grateful to have found Pelvic Sanity. I was referred to Pelvic Sanity by Nancy Anderson (she is also an amazing resource for post partum moms. Look her up on insta!) after the birth of my second daughter. I was told by my OB that I had 5cm of diastasis that could not heal without surgery. After just ONE session with Amy at Pelvic Sanity, the diastasis closed to 1.5 cm. It was nothing short of a miracle. Now, after just 5 weeks, the diastasis is almost completely closed with just .5 cm remaining. I really went into PT with very little hope. After my first meeting with Amy, my hope was entirely restored. Amy is the absolute BEST. I came to Pelvic Sanity with sudden new onset symptoms that shook me to the core. I had seen many medical doctors who seemed to know what was going on with me, but all were horrible at explaining it to me, and none of their treatments work. I found Pelvic Sanity, and Dr. Nicole Cozean, after I read her book. Dr. Nicole is clearly extremely knowledgeable, sharp as a tack, and a leader in her field. I saw that she had an intensive program for out of town patients. It was a big commitment, but extremely worth it. I learned more about my condition and my body in 1 week than I did from any other practitioners or doctors. First of all, the administrative staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They really understood what I was going through, spent extensive time with me on the phone, and answered all of my questions. So I knew I was in the right place. Once at the clinic I worked with both Drs. Nicole and Dr. Laura intensely for 1 week. Their immense enthusiasm and commitment to help others is obvious in all they do. They also understand that people coming to their clinic are usually very lost and confused about their symptoms, and likely have seen many doctors and PTs without any help. I can personally say that, because I was there too. It is a maddening place to be. But Nicole and Laura did restore a sense of sanity in me. When I left I had a personalized program which has helped me start on my true path of healing. In fact I was pain free for a week after I came home. I'm going to Bonnie and she is amazing. My IBS symptoms have gotten so much better among other things. I never knew that I was tight all the time. She has done wonders for me. It has been a life changing experience. I am so much more aware of my pelvic floor. They don't accept insurance but I submit for reimbursement from my insurance. I can't say enough about PelvicSanity and specifically my therapist, Sharon. She has provided me with so many resources outside of her own therapeutic techniques. She recommends home exercises, products, alternative methods (i.e. meditation), nutritional guidance, referrals to other specialists and she gives me a swift kick in my behind when I need some motivation. She has become more like a life coach than anything else. The office is very professional and welcoming. Jesse is always friendly and goes the extra mile in trying to accommodate my tricky schedule. If you have ever experienced pelvic pain then you know that oftentimes you can be met with a perplexing diagnosis or simply written off as overly sensitive. But you know the truth. This type of pain can be crippling, catastrophic even. 5 months ago, after 6 months of confusion, I was finally diagnosed with cytolytic vaginosis and severe pelvic floor dysfunction. I was in so much pain that I couldn't walk, sit, or stand without immense pain. I didn't know what to do with myself. After Googling for a long time, I kept on getting the same answer...that pelvic floor therapy was one of the only actual proven methods to ease pelvic floor pain. Then I found Pelvic Sanity! I was really hesitant. I thought I was going to be in pain forever. I remember meeting my PT Bonnie for the first time and saying something like I don't expect miracles but I just want to be able to live somewhat normally. She immediately sympathized with me and assured me that we were going to work through it. She didn't sugar coat anything but educated me on pelvic floor dysfunction and asked me exactly what kind of pain I was in. After my initial diagnosis she worked me every week. It wasn't easy at first, and I was so negative that I wasn't going to get better. But Bonnie kept me positive. She made me keep faith. And after a month or so I finally did start getting better. It was slow at first but the pain started to ease. I started to learn my triggers and also learned how to control my pain. And after four months of work at Pelvic Sanity I was finally able to assume relations with my boyfriend again! And while the whole establishment and the PTs of Pelvic Sanity are completely amazing, I wanted to take a moment and speak about my PT Bonnie. I can't say enough wonderful things about Bonnie. Not only is she knowledgable and passionate about helping people through their pain, her unwavering kindness and humor has help me through some of my worst moments. I cannot say enough about Pelvic Sanity: they've given me hope for a pain free life again. One year ago I was finishing a three-month therapy stent with a well respected physical therapist in orange county. There came a point where he told me he just couldn't help me; he couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I was devastated as I was living with chronic pain and getting no real answers after countless attempts with various forms of therapy. I have been struggling with IC for about 5 years, and as an otherwise healthy 23 year old I went through a tough time dealing with this problem. Coming to Pelvic Sanity has been such a blessing. I have tried other pelvic PT places, especially ones that are much closer to my house, and I choose to go to Pelvic Sanity because I feel they are the true experts. Every person that works there is pleasant and friendly. The staff is very helpful with scheduling. The office is clean and nice. Most importantly my PT Sharon is awesome. She always makes the process comfortable and super informative. She has taught me so much about how to deal with my symptoms, triggers for my IC, and tools to improve my quality of life. I now have a daily routine I go through to make sure I don't have any flares. After going to Pelvic Sanity for a few months I have had a major decrease in symptoms, and I am happily not on any medications. Previous to PT I had tried various medications, instillations, and a hydrodistention procedure with minimal improvements to my pain and symptoms. Pelvic Sanity saved my vacation. I sprained my SI joint while driving to California for my family's vacation. Then I made the mistake of walking on it at Disneyland, causing even more pain, so that I couldn't even sit down or take care of myself without my husband's help. Excruciating pain followed. While at my daughter's doctor's office who we were there to see during the vacation, I asked them for help finding a pelvic PT. Luckily, they had a brochure from Pelvic Sanity. We called them and Jesse and Sharon were able to get me in right away. I was surprised that it was a pleasant place without crowds of other people, as my experience in Vegas had been the very opposite.
