When we did our final walk through, we noticed some minor cosmetic problems and quite a few other…read moreproblems which were added to a repair list. Most noticeable was that it looked like a child had painted the entire house. There were drips, runs, and smears in every room along with paint on the floors and cabinets. As for our list, well, if it couldn't be fixed using caulking, it didn't get fixed. The real problems started just a month after moving in which is also when we started noticing all the poor quality of work. Windows which no longer open, cabinet doors that fall off in your hand, roof leaks which have continued to leak despite their attempt at repairs, cracked wood which had been thickly painted over in an attempt to hide, every door in the house makes a noise, floorboards which are lifting already... I could go on. Although we love our floor plan and location, in the year we've lived here, we've come to regret buying this house and will never buy from this builder again. Especially since WE are now in the process of having our house, which we share with our baby, tested for black mold.

They replaced the…read morefacia and later the roof sub contractor replaced the roof and in the process damaged the new facia. Then the siding sub contractor replaced the facia again. They then began to have problems with other sub contractors and the job went on for several months. I found inconsistent numbers in their billing. I asked John why the totals were more than the addends and his reply was they do that to cover any mistake their estimator makes. The 3 carbon monoxide roof vents were damaged and on the contract to replace. They were only painted to look new and not replaced. I asked Ed Rollins why they were not replaced and he replied, we made a mistake and used that $350 on the gutter guards. PGRS started the job in April and didn't complete it until October.
