The receptionist at Bourbon plumbing was pleasant enough, but when I asked if somebody could come out and give us a quote or estimate on the job, her response was it was $95 an hour, and it would just be a service call. Two other plumbing businesses are going to give us an estimate. We have no idea how long it's going to take for them to do the construction work inside the wall and what all it's going to take, because this is an old house. I saw the great reviews for bourbon plumbing and was hoping that we might use them because of the quality of their work. Evidently they're doing so well, that they don't have time for estimates or extra business. Congratulations. Needless to say they may have done the best work, but we will never know

I was charged for more than an hour because the technician had to leave to obtain a small copper fitting, even though he arrived with a large parts trailer. I do not believe I should have been billed for time spent retrieving a basic repair part that should have been readily available. I was also charged for 45 minutes of initial on-site time, despite being told by the office beforehand that only 15 minutes would be billed. When I questioned the charges and asked why it took so long to return, John responded, "You're entitled to your opinion," which I found dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. In addition, after the repair was completed, one of my irrigation sprinkler heads became stuck in the open position due to debris left in the system during the repair. This required additional cleanup and further reinforced my concerns about the quality of the work. For now, the leak appears to be holding, and I am intentionally leaving the area unfilled so I can monitor it for any future leaks. While I appreciate that the leak itself seems to have been repaired, the unexpected charges, unprofessional customer service, and the additional issue with the sprinkler head left me with a poor overall experience. Based on this experience, I would not choose this company again or recommend their services.
