Most of the graves that sit within this 2 to 3 acre enclosure are primarily from the 20th century and later. There are a handful of stones from the 1800s. This is still a very active cemetery with many well adorned gravesites from the surviving family members. The cemetery looks relatively well-maintained although a handful of older headstones are lying on their sides. There is still some space for future interments, but it is mostly full. There are three entrances to the property with a single gravel lane winding through the property. For the most part the graves are laid out in neat rows and some family plot areas, but there is still a little bit of randomness in some of the graves as to how they fit in. I did spot three historical names here that are tied to Austin/Round Rock history. There were several graves dedicated to the name Gattis (Gattis School Rd) and Boatright and at least one to Bohls. The Boatright name seemed to be the most prominent name in the cemetery. Two other names that I found in number here are Templeton and Summers. There are some service members buried here along with 3 confederate soldiers, 2 of them are of the Boatright name. If you're looking for a forever home or just want to check out some names of history, this place is worth a visit.

This is still an active cemetery with plenty of room for more decedents and the most recent graves are from 2022. The cemetery is easily accessed and has a dirt lane that circles the cemetery. It occupies roughly about 4 acres and most of the burials have taken place in the last 50 years. There are quite a number of service members buried here, but I did not find any WWI vets. The grounds, the trees and the graves themselves have been well cared for over the years. The photos included in this review may persuade you to make this your forever home.

There is an access point on Caldwell Lane, but unfortunately it looks like someone just drove right through the gate destroying it. There is no sign denoting the name of the cemetery but there is another cemetery nearby called Comanche Cemetery North. Considering its location I was surprised to see that the grass was well mowed and the graves were well tended. However being such a small cemetery there is no road of any sort leading into it so you'll just have to park just past the gate. The primary name that I could find here was Haws and in the corner of the cemetery is a large oak tree that obscures some fallen older gravestones. I did not spot any historical names here, unlike the nearby Hainy Church cemetery. It should be pointed out that just a couple hundred feet south of the cemetery lie additional headstones in a field along Caldwell. However, they are not as easily seen because this field is overgrown with weeds and the graves don't appear to be cared for. There's not a whole lot to see at this site, but there's room enough to make it your forever home.

There's not much more to say but there's definitely a lot more that could be said. I hope someone there decides to always include all of the immediate family when it comes to the death of a loved one, instead of just rushing things along without taking into consideration, "The Golden Rule." Only one section is fenced in, but all of it is easily accessible. There is no parking lot so you'll have to park further down the narrow feeder lane. The cemetery is divided into three sections which may have a lot to do with the families buried here. The cemetery has been pretty well kept up considering there were no toppled headstones or heavy overgrowth. Many of these graves are from the early part of the 20th century and some a little earlier than that. The most recent decedent that I could find was from 1992. One thing that seemed conspicuously absent was a Texas historical sign. Sadly, quite a number of graves are dedicated to small children and those under 30. One other thing you notice is that almost every grave is adorned with flowers and personal trinkets. This is still an active cemetery with many recent interments with plenty of room left. Quite a number of the headstones have porcelain photographs of the decedents. The majority of the headstones appear to be Hispanic in origin. I did not spot any headstones that went back before 1930. There is no Texas historical sign or informational kiosk at this location. Should you decide to make this your forever home, the photos included might help with your choice.

Very patient with my questions. AND I LOVE the dog that's there! She's VERY VERY sweet & she played with my dog VERY sweetly & enthusiastically. I try to take my pup with me when I go now, so he can play with her.:)
