Also during christmas, I got online pick up for a mickey mouse christmas train set. They sold out, so I placed the same order online for shipping. It delayed and delayed and delayed until it finally canceled. Why? Because they changed their price from $10 to freaking $65 and wanted me to pay the higher price. I called and went in circles with people for hours. The train wouldn't come in time for christmas anymore which made me sad, but at that point I just wanted them to ship me the product for the price I BOUGHT IT FOR INSTEAD OF WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO UPCHARGE ME. they wouldn't. Place is a freaking scam. Also there's constantly workers stocking the shelves mid day and taking up whole isles and acting annoyed at customers for being in the way. This place sucks.

I am an astute shopper - I'm expert on using their app, clipping their coupons, reading the ads before I shop, etc., and to boot I worked grocery early in my long career. These were genuine errors. We've had to endure a near year-long revamp of the store, its nearly finished, and I've yet to to see ANYWHERE any improvement in the experience. Its mind boggling how much money they spent to achieve NOTHING. When I was a checker, they came out with the most efficient way to process items; customer puts product on belt, the employee scans it and puts it right in the shopping bag. Boom, handled once! Super efficient! A few years ago some idiot with no clue how checkstands operate came up with the bright idea of having the checker scan it, put it on another belt, where another employee bags it. Handled TWICE. And this store NEVER has 1:1 checker/bagger. Today there were FIVE checkers, and ONE bagger. Fred Meyer continues its increasing abuse of plastic. Too many instances to write here.

She was able to come back today the next day (wednesday) and she just wanted to exchange then for the same pants that didn't have a missing button. They refused to exchange them and charged her the $1.80 and told her since it isn't senior Tuesday today that there was nothing they could do. There is always something you can do. I don't think that's right. My mom is on a fixed income and doesn't buy things for herself often. Sure it's only $1.80 but my mom was clearly upset about it and $1.80 makes a difference for some people.

Hall's General Store is what it sounds like and what my first review was mainly on so this time I'm going to focus on Hal's Emporium side of the business. It is more crafts and gift side with a discount item section in the back. You have to experience Hal's Emporium to full appreciate review. All I can really say is that you'll save a lot of money and find really interesting stuff at both stores. It is well worth stopping in and browsing about.
