While that is true to a certain extent, but you'll find that that camper only gets towed somewhere a couple times a year and let's face it, gas is expensive. Then, consider storage fees if you can't keep your camper at your home. So here's the deal. Seasonal sites are sorta where it's at. They are a convenient distance from major Alberta centres. You can buzz down and have a relaxing weekend. You actually use your camper more than once or twice a year, which is a good thing because those things aren't cheap. And it's like a small community. You know your neighbours, they become your friends and your kids have a shangri-la of things to do and summer friends to hang out with. Starting to sound good? That brings us to Green Acres. This place is a members only site, so you can't just mosey on in and expect to join in on the fun. Well, you can, sort of, but you gotta know a member. But it's worth it. Firstly, the place is immaculate. Well manicured and well kept. The people there are so nice. Didn't bring food? That's ok, Lucy's has you covered with a full service restaurant. Need stuff to do? Great! Pick up the newsletter to hear about the camper walk & shop, dances on long weekends or the camper crawl. Or, just head down to Lucy's for a swim in the salt water pool, video games and pool tables. Oh yeah, and the book exchange. Go down to the lake and wade in the water or send the kids to one of three playgrounds. Oh, you'll never be bored! Maybe consider unplugging yourself from social media or Yelp (sorry, Yelp) because the reception in the valley is pretty weak and sometimes non-existent. However, cell service is ok. But who needs that when you are relaxing, right? Yep, love it there hanging with old friends and meeting new. Definitely a must go if a seasonal camping site is your thing.

There is so much to do in Sylvan Lake, any time of the year! fire pit, front deck, and canoe available. Parking provided from the back to the property - you can walk anywhere from the cabin and save the parking fees! The open loft has a queen sized bed, reading nook, and little balcony off the front. Downstairs has a bright & functional living room / dining room with lots of board games to choose from, record player, TV with Netflix, fast wifi, and Bluetooth speaker. The modern rustic decor offers lots of seating, including a large pullout sofa. Free breakfast croissants were available for us with cheese and bottle of wine. A must stay in sylvan lake!

Flush toilets and showers which are great!…read more Depending on where you are they washrooms are easier to access than others. But you're camping so you know what's up. The showers we're usually clean and they are cleaned regularly. The campsites are good. Lots of tree coverage making it nice to have some privacy at your site. There are flush toilets scattered about. Well lit. Which is good and bad. Bad re: attracting bugs and good because night time is pretty dark. This campground has water and dump sites. It's usually a busy campground so depending on when you're coming or going the line ups will be what they will be. Great walking trails. Bikes are good too. Not for every trail, but given skill levels ... Just don't be silly. The townsite is a good distance of a walk, but if you're wanting to be outdoors this is a good thing to do. I mean, the townsite does have ice cream.

Some of the drivers are not so respectful, but for the most part they've been fine, and in some cases I really respected the polite way they were driving, and how willing they were to share the road with cars and other big vehicles like trucks.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly. There was nothing in the room that was noticeably dirty or broken. I'd stay here again. Lots of food shopping within walking distance, i.e. restaurants, connivence stores, and grocery. The hotel has included breakfast with hot foods. I was not really happy with how the boiled eggs were stored, but I just avoided them.

I broke my wrist while I was out during our one night stay and was at the hospital all night till 7:30am, they were very accommodating allowing us to have a check out at noon instead allowing us to get some sleep before we drove for home, as we were passing by the front desk after we grabbed a little bite from the nice breakfast bar, we were informed the front desk lady took initiative to speak with the manager who said to let us check out at 1pm instead. Very helpful and caring place and staff who have no problem laughing with the silly jokes that slip out.

To say it was a very nice golf club would simply not do justice. My family was driving down highway…read more11 when we saw this inviting golf course to our immediate right. We hymned and hummed but quickly came to the conclusion that our family for the first time would golf. We walked into the club house and were immediately greeted with open arms by the staff. My partner, Karen, and our children waited in the car as daddy got everyone clubs and carts. Daddy even snuck a few beers in the bag without Karen knowing. That was my only victory that day. We began to golf. It was a long 9 holes but Sally, my daughter, was surprisingly good. Even the players behind us were cheering her on. I think the gentleman's name was Brennan. He was a member which surprised me because every time I looked back he was shooting his ball out of the rough and tall grass areas. Anyways, It was a joyous experience and my family now loves golf. We had a blast. Thank you Meadow Lands for being part of a great memory.

Newer hotel so the beds are clean and comfy. And the best is they are dog friendly and don't charge extra! I stay here every time I'm in Airdrie and I love it.
