While the driver was picking up the debris box of my neighbor's house he broke the cables in my house, he left them lying on the sidewalk then he left and did not notifying me of the dam, until I reviewed the footage of my cameras. I called Península Debris box and John the manager said to call the cable company because they are not responsible for repairing the damage caused by the driver. They didn't even apologize. Very irresponsible. read more

Michele rocks, debris box showed up on time and communications were flawless! As a general contractor the hardest thing to do is deal with subs who don't deliver, not a problem with Peninsuala Debris TC read more

never ever use them again I got multiple debris boxes and each time I had an issue last time they left the door open while taking the box and all the trash ended up on the street and they left all the trash there and I had to clean up after them and they charged me extra and the driver said I should have checked the box to make sure the door was closed. I dont even know how to open the doors on the box and I think the driver who is taking the box should check the box for safety. I ended up using another location much much better experience and service. PS. I contacted the owner and she yelled at me and hung up on me and they didnt pick up the box I had to have a friend call them and ask them to take their box read more

I highly recommend Peninsula Debris Box. Competitive pricing, prompt response, and quick turnaround for order and pick up. The driver was courteous and asked where we wanted the bin which was appreciated. If you need a debris box this should be your go-to. Thank you Michele and team for your wonderful service. read more

Wonderful experience, my dad has used them for years and recommended them to me. John and Michelle were extremely accommodating, responsive and friendly. Also reasonably priced compared to the other options. Highly recommend their service. The driver, John (different John), was friendly, communicative, and knew his truck very well. Overall, 100% recommend Peninsula. Cheers! read more

Peninsula Debris Box and Michelle were super easy to work with. Minimal lead time for delivery and pick up,flexible as i added boxes, and a fair price. Call Peninsula Debris!!! read more

We had a small kitchen fire that led to many positive changes including long-postponed general de-junking of mom's 1932 home. I called all the local debris box services and Peninsula offered the best overall deal including price and timing flexibility in our uncertain situation. That situation was compounded by mom's trip to the ER then skilled nursing facility for almost two weeks. Michele et al compassionately gave us some extra time with our 40 yard box which eventually enabled us to get it pretty full. We are grateful and as of today have moved our rebounding mom, 101 years and 10 months old, into a new senior living facility and a new chapter in her long life. Thanks Michele and co-workers! We'll recommend you to everyone we can! read more

I seem to order a debris box every couple months for work and Peninsula always has quick drop off and pick up promptly when I call it in. Not to mention they beat the pants off recology in the price department! It's always a pleasure to do business with them. read more

Peninsula Debris Box company is very easy to work with. They will help you decide which size Box you need for your project. They deliver and set the Box where you designate. read more

This was my first experience with this company. I was a little hesitant after reading the Yelp review but my contractor recommended the company and had used them previously. I gave them a call and it was pretty quick. The person that took my order was friendly. He basically asked the size, address and my cc number. I asked when is the earliest time that I could receive the box and they said in the afternoon. The box came in the afternoon as promised. When I called for them to get the box back, they remove it as promised on the same day. I thought it was overall pretty good. The only reason I couldn't give it a higher were two things: 1. Never receive a receipt for the billing 2. Had two separate charges on my account. I think these were major issues that people using their service should really be aware of. You are always unsure of their pricing policy. What they quote you over the phone may not be what you are actually charge. It would be a reasonable courtesy for them to call you first and indicate the additional charge and why you are being charged. No response, no receipt, no call... read more

I have used Peninsula twice now and they have always done an excellent job in communicating when they will arrive to bring the debris box. Also, we filled up our box really fast and I called and they brought me a new box right out within an hour. Our job was completed in one day thanks to Peninsula! Thank you!! read more

I searched and searched for an inexpensive concrete debris box and these folks were by far the cheapest. I completed the on-line form, they responded and more importantly the box was delivered right on time for my job. This is a company that does what they say. Michele, who was my contact person, was absolutely delightful and has a great sense of humor and the driver who delivered the box was as nice as could be. I will definitely use them again! read more

Delivery was fine, i gave my credit card info over the phone, i was a bit hesitant, but it'll be ok. Pickup was fine, then BofA send me an alert that a purchase was made without my card present. They billed me an additional 43 dollars without so much as a call before charging my card. i'll call tomorrow to get the details, but i won't use them again. read more

Our family needed a debris box in Foster City to clean out the parents house and yard. I called on a Tuesday to have it delivered on the following Friday--it was scheduled without issue. I called two other companies before Peninsula; one was a voicemail service and the other couldn't provide a box the same week. I met the driver at the house; he was friendly enough and put the 30 yard box precisely where I asked him to. We spend the weekend filling it, but it was still half empty Sunday night. I called Peninsula Monday morning asking them to delay pickup until Wednesday--they said no problem. Neighbors and the family used the extra time to fill up the box and it was picked up full on Wednesday. It was a good experience with them all the way around. I would definitely use them again. We paid with Visa over the phone. read more

We were getting a lot of sliding doors and large panes of glass replaced at our house. The previous debris box company I called bailed last minute (partially my fault because i didn't call to confirm the day before). We were in a crunch as it would have been incredibly unsafe to have broken pieces of glass throughout our yard (and impossible to clean up). Luckily Peninsula was open (on a Saturday, which was hard to find), and delivered a debris box the same day (4 hours after my call). I called for pick-up on the following Monday, and the debris box was picked up first thing Wednesday morning. Price for a 15 CYS was as quoted - $380 (up to 3 tons of weight I believe, and then $95/ton after that). (We only filled the dumpster about half-way full.) No extra/hidden charges. read more

Definitely a solid 5 star company. They always give me fantastic service both dropping off new containers but even more impressive the speed at which they pick up the full boxes and get them out of my way. Even with today being a holiday, not only did they drop a box but picked it back up with only an hour notice. Never had a bad experience with them. Highly recommend. read more

Got my debris box within a half hour of ordering. The person on the phone was friendly and helpful deciding the box size which was right for me and they were spot on. No issues with anything these other had. Definitely not my experience. The delivery was smooth and put it exactly where I needed it. Not sure how often I'd need another box, but they will get my business if I do. Thanks. read more

I didn't do business with them but on 06.11.14 a truck from this company was littering 101 south bound around (Palo Alto to 85S) 12:15 p.m. with some small hard particles and the driver was like a maniac switching lanes. I got a chip on my windshield and am sure numerous other cars were also affected. Check their website and there is mention of them caring for your neighbors! Why don't they have some sense to not be so careless. This company's driver's behavior was deplorable. With the number of people affected due to this company's truck that day I would question their respect for others. Spend your dollars somewhere else. read more

This was my first time using any debris box service. I originally was hesitant of using this company b/c of some bad reviews that said they randomly charge and also overcharge. I even expressed my concern to the woman on the phone, but she said she actually dealt with the one bad review herself and insisted this was not a usual case. I ended up ordering the 15 cubic yard box for some construction waste. It was $355 normally, but with a $25 web coupon, for a total of $330. The delivery of the box itself was great! They gave us a three-hour window and just made it at the tail end, but made it nonetheless. When I was done, I left a voice message on Sunday that they could pick up ASAP and on Monday morning, they were there taking it away. So from that perspective, I thought it was really good. (The folks on the phone - which by the way vary each time I called - aren't overly friendly, but weren't outright rude either, so all in all, what I expected and was pleased.) However, then I got the bill and that's where I got a bit frustrated. First, I get a Paid invoice for a total of $355, not the $330 I was quoted. I almost let it go, too lazy to call, BUT then I look on my credit card statement and what do I see? Like other reviews, I had a separate, unknown charge (for $66). If i didn't look at my statements, I'd never had known. What is this for? I finally called and the woman said that 1) they forgot to give me the discount (so she would credit $25 - thanks), and 2) that I went over my weight limit and that was the difference. What frustrated me wasn't that I got charged for exceeding the weight (if that's the case), it's that you should let your customer know you are about to charge their card. They sent a paid invoice for the original order - why wasn't the overweight info on that as well? Or why didn't they send a separate overweight "paid" invoice with proof of the weight from the junk yard? I didn't see anything. Was it really over? I'm not sure. It was full of wood with a small amount of brick, which based on the description shouldn't have gone over. But if it did...that's fine. I'm okay paying. Proactively let me know you're going to charge me, and give me a receipt with the proof . That's all. It would have prevented the frustration. And that's why the 3-stars. The box service itself was pretty good, but the invoicing experience was annoying. (If the billing went smoothly with proof and receipts, I'd probably rate this higher.) Would I use them again? Perhaps. But I think I'll try Redwood Debris Box Service next for comparison. read more

I have used Peninsula Debris Box for several jobs in the past, and they always do a professional job that is timely and at the best price. There are not too many business left that let you do everything by 1 phone call, but Peninsula Debris does the job with 1 call. In addition, they support local schools and charities, which I find impressive in the current economic climate. Keep up the good work. read more

Price was good but they damaged my home when picking up their box which fell off the truck as one person attempted to load it. I was so happy with my experience with Peninsula Debris Box Service. Michele was so professional and courteous and addressed all of my needs. I have used their boxes several times for general household clean ups and they have been great. I got the box in the time frame they promised, and they picked it up pretty quickly after i called to tell them it was full. I ordered a 15yd debris box for $355 for some construction debris my contractor needed to dump after redoing one of our bedrooms. The box came as promised, real early in the am, and the loading begun. To our surprise, we didn't even fill half of the bin. Unfortunately, people/neighbors see half an empty bin, and decide that they too can dump their trash in it. I wish a cover of some sort, was provided, to avoid random trash appearing in your uncovered bin. Any who, I didn't really worry about the additional trash that was not ours, since the gentlemen on the phone said just fill it up, when I asked what kind of debris could be put in the bin. I contacted Peninsula Debris to come pick it up and the pick up was great as was the delivery. To my surprise, I see an additional charge of $83.70 on my debit card a few days later. I contacted the company and was advised that since I signed the receipt for when the box was delivered, there was nothing they could do as in the fine print on the receipt, it states that there may be additional fees charged later. I couldn't believe it! I was totally baited and switched. I have no complaint as far as their drop off and pick up of bins, that went better than I anticipated. I just wish when I booked the bin, I would have been advised of the potential "additional fees". I clearly asked the gentleman on the phone what can be dumped in the bin, and was advised "Anything, fill it up". That would have been a perfect time for him to let me know that even if the bin isn't full, they will go by weight and there's a chance you could be over their weight allotment and incur additional fees. I'm not one to write reviews, but I really felt taken on this transaction and just want to warn future clients to read the fine print, even if it's 6am and you're in your pajamas. read more
