I recently needed some mirror glass re sized for one of my customers and I called Peninsula Glass for help. I spoke to Meghan and she was very helpful explaining their services. I took my glass over there and later that day they had it ready to go. The mirror was spot on size and the edges were clean. Although it was not a big ticket item for Peninsula they still have my needs attention and took care of the project to a better quality and lower cost than I expected. Finding shops willing to give that kind of service quickly, accurately and efficiently is rare. She said "maybe tomorrow " I said maybe ?? She said yes - never heard from her. Called Gandy Glass in Wilmington - have them measurements. Paid on phone with CC and picked up glass 2 days later. Peninsula Glass saves the day once again! The problem: moisture between the double glass on my bay window, big center pane. This window was installed by a previous owner of my house, who knows when. I watched the issue get worse over the past year.....until I could barely see through the foggy glass. I was scared to replace it, thinking it would be a huge deal involving shards of broken glass & possible bloody workers. Did I mention the dang window is second-story? Anyway, Brad came out right away to measure & give me the estimate. The glass was ordered & within a few days was ready to be installed. I felt very foolish. From the get go the woman who answered the phone is very rude, before you can even tell them what you're calling about she blurts out "we're 4 weeks out for any new work, is that going to be a problem" . Who answers the phone this way? No "how can we help you" or any time to tell them what your calling about. Who ever owns this company should fire the front office as they are running their customers away. Had used these guys before to make a custom mirror for my house so I decided to try them again. Walked in and was greeted by a nice lady. I needed to pieces of mirror cut and glue to a cabinet door. The lady had no clue about how much it would be or when it would be done. She said someone would get back to me. The cabinet doors would be difficult to replace if lost and I wasn't sure when I left there I would see them again. Called the next day and someone else (another lady) said no one had looked at them yet so she had no price nor a timeframe when they would or could be done. She just told me that she would rather not have the liability of holding the doors at their shop. Worst customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. On my way to pick up the doors. In the process of having shower doors and mirrors made for our house, I had quite a few companies come out and give estimates. None of them made the impressed that Peninsula Glass did. Not only was the estimate done in a timely manner, the company presented itself in a professional manner. They have reasonable prices and can work with you on what you need. I have no doubt that the work they've done for me was top quality. This is one company that goes above and beyond what is called for. After stopping by and ordering a pane of window glass, I was told the order would be filled that day and that they would call me when the pane was cut. No call that day or the next day. I finally called them and was told the 5-minute job would not be ready for yet another day. They were too busy. I drove back to their shop to pick up my deposit and am now seeking another supplier. Why didn't they know that they could not fulfill the order on time when they took the order? Nice people but I got the sense that they're interested only in big jobs and not a small potatoes client like myself. If you want their attention don't go there unless you're spending a lot of money! Postscript: I called Dandoy Glass in Torrance and they said they would have the job ready in a half-hour for 1/3 the cost Peninsula was going to charge me. read more

I was looking for a glass company that could fix a handheld mirror that belonged to my wife. The mirror was made of pure silver and passed down to her from her grandmother that had passed away. Nevertheless, it was a very sentimental heirloom that had been in the family a long time. I called around three different glass company's to get a quote to fix it. They all quoted me about the same price to fix it. One company told me they were too busy to take on a small job like mine and did not have time to service my needs. Can you imagine that? Sometimes I wonder how some businesses stay in business. When I called Peninsula Glass, they were like a breath of fresh air. The quote they gave me was less than all their competitors. When I arrived, the lady that took my order was as sweet as apple pie, she even asked how the mirror broke telling me there is always a story behind broken mirror like the one I had. They fixed the mirror when they said it would be fixed and when I went to pay, they charged me less than what they quoted me. Can you believe that? Talk about under promising and over delivering. Had a large, double pane window replaced. Brad arrived on time for measurements and the office called with a reasonable quote a few hours later. A date was set and the crew arrived on time to begin installation. My window was set in wood and proved difficult. Even though it obviously took longer than expected, there was no grumbling about the original quote. The molding was badly deteriorated from water leakage and needed to be replaced, which was not included in the original quote. The crew would need to return with the correct molding (a return trip), which they did LATER THE SAME DAY for an extremely reasonable $40 (and they apologized for needing to charge me that!). This is as good as it gets. read more

Horrible customer service! I ordered a glass table top online from one of Peninsula glasses companies "one day glass." Extremely misleading name, I made the order on September 1st and the glass was not shipped until September 13th! It is not estimated to be here until the 19th! I called around the 8th to inquire about how long it would be until I received my glass, the guy on the phone said "it tells you on the invoice you where emailed, whatever that date is is the date you will receive it." I asked why it was taking so long and he mumbled something and hung up. Then when I finally got the email that said it has been shipped I replied asking what took so long, I got a genereric response, so I replied to that and got another generic email that had nothing to do with my reply. the short version..Brad agreed to replace a slight crack in a mirrored dining room. The wall flexed when attempt was made to remove. The mirror cracked more. Brad then told me it was all he could do and left me with the broken mirror. No help...I was to man up. read more

I have never written a Yelp review before because I am a busy father but my experience with Peninsula Glass has prompted me to write.. I was referred to Peninsula Glass by Michael Blanc at One Stop Window and Door. Wanting to make sure everything went well I walked into the office and carefully explained the glass railing we needed around a high retaining wall that posed a danger to our kids. I wrote down all the contact information to make sure they would be in touch. The following week Brad Henry came out to measure the glass. As the weeks went by I called several times trying to get a bid or some response. My calls were not returned I never received email contact. I drove to the office a second time and they said they might have lost all my contact information. We rewrote everything and I waited. After almost a month I finally got an email saying they were too busy and that I should try another company. I will. I spent an hour and a half driving and calling just trying to get a bid or a response. Our family business is property management and I deal with glass vendors all the time and are constantly looking for companies with good customer service. This is about the worst. read more

My review is little overdue. I had them install 75 feet of interior glass hand railing. I had about 4-6 bids for the project with prices all over the board. Brad Henry came out to take the measurements and after a few weeks of taking bids. There price was definately very competitive compared to the other bids. I was really worried about this project because i had bids ranging from 12k all the way to 25k so i wasn't sure who was legit or who was not. I first chose the lowest bid and after initial charge...the company never showed up. I ended up doing a charge back and contacted Brad to see if he can work with me on pricing. They ended up giving me a better quote and I chose them to get started. Throughout the process, they got started really fast, making templates and coming out to install the hand rails. They finished the project in roughly 2 weeks and were very on top of stuff in terms of finishing the project and doing a good job. read more
