This is a random review BUT if I was treated with such great customer service for such an odd/small "job" I have to come give Anchor Glass (Justin) their credit. I ordered a PC Electronic standing desk that was too big for my space but remembered seeing "some kind of shop" while walking my dog every morning so I figured why not go and ask. So I did and Justin told me if it was possible (depending on the quality of wood) it would be $10 per cut which to me is absolutely fair being a tool less men. When he started working on it he showed me it would be "choppy" and I told him "I figured" and there was no problem. Than he proceeded to pull out 3 different machines because of courses their was no way Justin would let me leave with anything but the best even though I agreed that it was okay. In 2026 that shows a lot from a human ! It's so rare ! Now I have what I consider a "custom desk" because he did such a great job for $20 !!!! Justin from Anchor Glass went above and beyond with my very particular project I requested him to do. I needed a custom cut "cat door" hole in my sliding glass door of my 2002 Bayliner boat so my cats can go out the door as they please . He measured and cut it perfectly and installed it so quickly . He took extra time and care with measurements and install. He also replaced my bathroom mirror cabinets - they look so amazing thank you so much ! Simple enough order of a bathroom mirror, we even had the hang clips installed but wanted delivery/installation (they were told of the clip brackets, just bringing it into the bath and set in place easypeasy). We got the greenhorn- he claims he'd never seen mirror clip brackets and wanted to glue the mirror to the wall 5" lower, UH NO. He also needed help to complete and that means basically we installed it and not exactly sure what the fee was either since the invoice was not broken down as I requested. read more

I shopped around for a new glass shower enclosure. Although Anchor was not the cheapest of the 5 or 6 bids I received, they were extremely competitive (over $1000 less than the highest bid) and only about $150 over the lowest. They were local and were able to complete the project in my timeframe. They proved to have excellent customer service and always followed through as well as being on time. I wanted a glass top to put on my kitchen table to protect it. When I first talked to Judy, I gave her the dimensions from the table specs on their website. It turned out to be the wrong size... lesson learned...always measure yourself (or have their expert come to do it). Recommended by the tile installer, the owner did come to my home to estimate. Subsequently, it was suggested that we come down to the showroom to see the products available. A time and date was set. When visiting the showroom, the only representative minding the shop was also answering phone calls and was constantly being interrupted by an IT repairman. We left with unanswered questions. The rep said she'd have the owner call to answer questions. He did call several days later and again, the call was interrupted several times as I was placed on hold. I felt unvalued and decided my business would be better spent elsewhere. read more

I shopped around San Pedro and Lomita for a good glass and window repair place, and Anchor had the best price and turn around time. And, they were the nicest, genuinely helpful people that I spoke to over the phone, so that always helps. I'm always willing to pay a little more to work with people who genuinely seem to value their customers, but in this case, I'm glad I didn't have to. They had the work done in a reasonable amount of time, and I'll definitely look them up when I need this kind of work in the future. I definitely recommend. read more

Formerly Mac's glass. This is an unassuming glass shop on Gaffey which I had the pleasure of working with when I needed to replace the insulated glass panels for my skylight. Brenda was great at getting me a fair price and communicating with me on a regular basis, even going so far as disposing of my old glass in their bin. We asked Anchor to come to our home and measure our coffee table for a glass replacement. I had dropped my cellphone smack in the middle of the center piece of glass and shattered it. Their estimate to replace it seemed reasonable, and they came at a convenient time and measured the space for the new glass. I picked up the new piece in a couple of weeks or so but when I brought it home it was too big and did not fit into the recess in the table. They sent a crew out in a few days to remeasure the glass. Again, two or three weeks later I picked up the new piece and this time it fit. read more

We took a large glass cutting board in a wood frame to these guys to have the glass replaced. Originally we were going to caulk it ourselves, but didn't do a good job, so we brought it back to them to caulk. When we got it back, it was not caulked and crumbs got stuck between the glass and the frame. So we took it back to be caulked properly. When we got it back this time, there were stains and marks (one had some typeface on it) on the wood that were not there before. We called to let them know and they told us it was already stained, that they did what we asked them to, and they did not charge us anything for the work they didn't do in the first place. Ugh. We know what the board we have had for 50 years looks like. Additionally, the person there was not wearing a mask. read more

Stopped in today to pick up a piece of glass for a table that I ordered on Monday (8/10) which wasn't supposed to be ready until Friday. Such a nice surprise! Thank you Justin. I also want to thank Justin for providing me with some crushed glass. I had explained to him that I was trying to complete a project that needed clear crushed glass and had been unable to find any. Wow, still can't believe it was done in less than 3 hours the moment I called to inquire about fixing a broken window. I called Anchor Glass & Mirror (formerly Mac's Glass) and spoke to Justin regarding getting an estimates for a broken window at a rental apartment. Justin was awesome, very professional, courteous, and excellent customer service. I texted Justin with the pictures of the broken window and he replied immediately. Justin went to see the broken window and immediately called to give me the estimates. Price to fixed the broken window was very fair considering he fixed the window on the spot. I stopped by Anchor Glass & Mirror on 10th & Gaffey in San Pedro (formerly Mac's) to arrange to have a glass top made for my new dining room table. While there I asked if they could come by and look at my shower door, which was a struggle to open/close. I previously had 3 handymen look at the door, but they couldn't fix it. When the Anchor tech, Chris, came over I thought, for sure, he would try to sell up... nope. He just did what I asked for, fixed it quickly, and provided excellent service along the way! My next project will be my windows, and I plan to only call Anchor! Excellent customer service! read more
