However, the atmosphere in the room is typical with soft spa music, dim candle light, comfortable tables and a cozy room that may put you to sleep like me. Upon arrival, Sunny checked me in with smiles and was also my masseuse for my Swedish massage. She hit all the right points and made sure I was comfortable by asking if the pressure was too much or the bed temperature was good for me. I really enjoyed the minimal use of the light unscented massage oil she used. Before I flipped over, hot towels, more massaging and hot rocks were placed on my back. This was different for me, but I thought it was perfect. It warmed up all the areas she massaged and and removed most of the massage oil leaving my back soft and moisturized without an oily feeling. There was also some stretching done with my arms, legs and neck area. One finished, I felt relaxed, loose and ready for another gym session of lifting! The prices are extremely reasonable as the focus here is on the massage not all the fancy, aromatic things and decor. Booking online is very easy also. A few years ago I added Botox. Dr G was my first experience with Botox and she's wonderful. In the beginning she listened closely to what I wanted (to remove the ever deepening line between my eye brows) and she explained that to get a natural look involves considering how all the muscles move together. She tried different injection locations, asked how I liked it at my next visit, and adjusted based on my feedback. Now, when I come in she ensures I want the same constellation of injections and works off her recorded "map" of my face. Dr G is very good at Botox! The results are wonderful and she always reminds me of how to care for it (for example, no exercise that raises my heart beat for 24 hours). Dr G is also wonderful with patients. She's friendly, calm, patient, professional and very gentle with the injections. There's been no bruising. Her goal is to ensure you're satisfied and happy. I recently moved to Foster City and was looking for a good nail salon in the area. This place had…read morehigh ratings, so I decided to try it for a Gel-X removal ($30). Martin assisted me. He was polite, quiet, and gentle with my nails, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the removal technique was not a great experience. My fingers were placed in a tub of acetone and I was told it would be about 5 minutes, but it ended up being about 10. My fingertips became very dry and pruney. In my past experiences, other nail techs typically use acetone-soaked cotton applied directly to my nail and wrapped with foil, which better protects the skin. After the removal, I was asked to wash my hands and was told the service was done. However, I noticed gel residue left on my skin and some still on my nails. When I mentioned it, I was told "no worries, it'll come off in the shower". Well it felt uncomfortable for me! The remaining gel was only wiped after I requested it, and there is still visible residue. For the hour that he spent removing it off, it definitely was not worth the price at all. I've had many Gel-X removals before and they were usually much cleaner and more efficient and cheaper priced ($15) and took only 30 mins. Giving 2 stars because Martin was kind, but I wasn't satisfied with the overall result.
